Ackerman Cancer Center The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are a complete care facility including a dietician and social workers, and have 8 MDs and 2 FNP-BCs on staff. I have been treated here twice, 2004 for testicular cancer and just finished the program for prostate cancer. In addition, Dr. Ackerman has Ackerman Urology Center nearby (for both sexes) which is where I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I highly recommend both facilities.

This is an awesome place. If you need this kind of help this is the place to go. Everyone is so helpful and caring. Everyone makes a bad situation not so terrible. Kasey and Scott who do the actual treatment are especially caring and very good at what they do.

Scot is a cancer wizard. He knows his patients better than any other doctor I know. Don’t waste your time with big hospitals that treat you like a faceless number. Go to a doctor you will have a personal relationship with. Dr. Ackerman is the best.

I remember the first day we went to meet with Dr. Ackerman. And after the results, the tears began to fall down my face. Dr. Ackerman and his staff did everything they could to make my treatment as painless and easy as they could. If I ever have to go through treatments again I would not even look to any other center for help will tell anyone that will need treatments to go to Ackerman first. Glad to have had him as my Dr.

We feel very blessed to have been referred to Ackerman Cancer Center. From the very first phone call their attentiveness and concern for making us comfortable with the entire process was very evident. Over the next few weeks of receiving radiation treatments, always followed by time with the nurses and/or any one of the doctors or other staff we realized the attention we got on that initial phone call was just a glimpse of the attention, compassion and concern for our health and well-being that all of these wonderful doctors, nurses, technicians and office staff provide 100% of the time! Everyone shows great concern to make sure your questions are answered and that you are comfortable with the program and you never feel like you are ‘just another patient’. I cannot say enough kind words about Dr Ackerman and his staff. They are very professional, comforting and compassionate. I appreciated the candid conversations we had about what was coming down the line in treatment and how they responded to the issues. It was not an easy road however, my family and I never felt like we were left alone.

The doctors, proton radiation technicians and other staff (dietician, social worker) work together to place one at ease, reassured treatment will work, is working, and competency and care prevail. I had excellent treatment at all times. Zoe always made me feel welcome when I walked through the door. I had an A team with my Radiology Team. They took the best of care for me. All of the Dr.s were caring and helpful. You made life a little easier.

Dr. Ackerman is a great doctor in my opinion, warm, engaging and willing to listen to your personal concerns, needs and goals for your long term journey to recovery. Highly recommended! So glad we were referred to Ackerman Cancer Center. Dr. Ackerman is a very down to earth Dr. Told us exactly what was happening and what to expect. Showed us what HE was looking at and explained everything so we could understand. The staff is top notch! Everyone has a job and they do them well! No long waits from making the appt. with Ashlee. Then arriving for the appt and step by step from person to person. Joseph, Georgia, Even saw Dr Ackerman in a timely manner. He put our minds at ease reducing the anxiety greatly. Dr. Ackerman has been absolutely incredible physician. He has treated treated two of my daughters and myself. His compassion and service are unmatched in the medical field and I am extremely appreciative of everything he has done for my family.

I was diagnosed with Cervical cancer in 2008. Even though "Thank the Lord" I have been cancer free since 2009. He was very pleasant and caring. He has a great sense of humor! Not only does the Ackerman Cancer Center provide exceptional care in a highly professional manner. They do so in a caring, competent and complete way. The doctors and technicians were a joy to work with and I would recommend them to family and friends without reservation.

Dr. Ackerman is a great doctor, showing genuine concern and care for his patients. He is proactive and quick to collaborate with other doctors on his patients’ team to determine the perfect plan for their treatment. His staff is highly qualified and trained in their fields, always working hard for their patients. The clinic is always clean with a welcoming environment, and waiting rooms are filled with yummy treats for you and your party to enjoy. They make you feel like family!

The nicest, most dedicated , staff We have had the pleasure to work with. My wife has been fighting cancer for over 10 years and Dr Ackerman really gave her hope with the Proton Beam treatments .He really cares about his patients and it trickles all the way down to every staff member.I would give him more than 5 stars if possible

I have been trying to find a doctor that would do Proton radiation on brain and bone mets because it has less to basically no side effects and to my surprise Dr. Ackerman could do it with no issues. I live in Florida and called every Proton Radiation Center in the state and was turned away but not by Dr. Ackerman. His demeanor is very positive including he has a top notch staff. I consider finding this doctor and group a miracle and will be coming only to them for radiation.

I recently underwent a Proton Therapy treatment. Dr. Ackerman and all personnel were professional, caring and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Ackerman.

Dr. Ackerman & all of his team saved my husband's life & he was VERY COMFORTABLE throughout the entire process. It's a One-Stop Shop place for various forms of cancers & they worked around our schedule, whether it be 6:30 a.m. or 9:30 p.m., they took GREAT care of Bob. No side effects except 2 nites of waking up with warm ear lobes. They only treated the cancerous spots because they have Proton machines. So side effects were almost non-existent. Their employees became like a loving family.

Outstanding care. Really, I expect good care when I go to a doctor, but this place went beyond expectations. Ackerman himself is excellent--smart, caring, a good guy with a good sense of humor. The whole team is top notch. I was worried about my health when I first walked in, but I quickly developed confidence in the care I was and would be getting. I never felt like just another patient. It meant a lot, and I'm grateful for it.

My experiences with Dr. Ackerman is always a good one! Very professional and a great human being. We are so blessed. His staff is AAA+ a shout out to Nurse's Abby & Jen. We love you guys!

Although about half my visits were with Dr Perkins as well I give both 5 stars. I felt very comfortable with the prescribed radiation and follow up treatment
