Receptionist is rude, long wait

Dr. Nayar saved my life. His staff is awesome. I transferred doctors due to constant disappointments with the staff of northeast obgyn ( I was neglected as a patient). Finally decided to switch doctors & Dr. Nayar immediately took me under his care & took action. ????

My first visit last week, and 99% of the staff was so nice and helpful. The front person, not so much. I called a couple of days before to move my appointment up due to an emergency situation, and thankfully a rep named Debbie kindly squeezed me in! During checkout I was helped by a girl named Stephanie, she was so sweet and helpful. Im facing some very tough decisions so I was anxious in heneral, it really helps when ppl are kind to you. Thank you ladies :)

Me and most of my family members have had Dr Nayar deliver all our babies, this July he'll be delivering my 4th baby and he's made me feel very comfortable and eased nerves about haveing my 4th C-section. He's always compromised with me on C-section dates so I've gotten to choose all my babies birthdays which I love and he always makes jokes about my big baby's after he delivered my almost 11lb son. He's great, staff is great and knows me personally by name and I wouldn't go to anyone else to welcome my babies to the world! I barley ever see dr nayar , the front ladies are very rude. Was given false information making me worried about my baby. I’m 37 weeks now & wish I switched my drs months ago. Never will go back here I do not recommend coming here for pregnancy !

I can’t speak to the professionalism of the dr because I had an appointment, called to confirm my appointment the morning of snowpaclyps, at which time I was told yes they are open and confirmed they would be for my appointment. only to show up and the office is closed and all calls go to their voicemail service. I get safety first, but my safety is important too and I left an hour ahead to navigate through the streets just be denied service without even a courtesy call. Dr . Nayar is an amazing Dr. he delivered all four of my mother children I am now 21 & he delivered my first baby! also his nurse practitioner Genevieve I loved her so much! & made every appointment so welcoming & comfortable .(it was my first pregnancy so everything was new to me.)In the last week of my pregnancy I got pre eclampsia & Dr nayar handled it so easily & quickly & made sure my baby & I got the best possible care. I had my daughter the next morning via C-Section & Dr Nayar was quick & delivered my baby with no complications my daughter & I both made it out great! Dr Nayar WAS a good Dr. I delivered 4 children total but 10yrs later I developed issues with an implant he recommended to me called Essure. Essure is now removed from the market with a FDA black label. I came in about the ongoing health issues, pelvic pain that have been going on for years. He was very dismissive, arrogant and refused to listen. After he reviewed records from another obgyn I saw down the street he agreed the only way to resolve the issues is to have a full hysterectomy. Well duh. I had my hysterectomy, he never came to see me after the surgery and was sent home. I had to request pathology reports to find out what was found and how the surgery went. I had to come in after a month because I was bleeding bright red and clotting. I felt so weak and lightheaded. He examined me and he was rough. Now that I think about it he's always been rough. The only reason why I decided to go back was because in the past I had the sense of safety and that I could trust him with my life. That has changed. I don't know what happened to him. Dr Nayar listen to your patients and don't always try to make excuses. I told you 10yrs ago I had symptoms of endometriosis and you still didn't listen to me. I suffered all those years,you upsold me on an implant that was poisoning my body and in turn I developed other issues. The staff is friendly, probably because they are scared of him. 22yrs ago I also witnessed him go off on a team of nurses at Christus Santa Rosa while he was delivering my first child. Dr. Nayar was a great Dr. i was not able to really get to know him because of covid but, my wife was always pleased about all of her appointments he was very friendly and makes sure all your questions are answered.My wife had to come to the hospital because she was bleading. They ended up keeping her and she had some complications Dr. Nayar was very quick to take action and gives info about what was going on he told us emergency c section was best for the baby.he made me feel like he made us feel like we were the priority the hole time we hope he is still practicing when we have our next kid will definitely go back to him. I had a great experience with Dr. Nayar!! All my appointments went great. The stuff is very kind and caring. My delivery was amazing, a beautiful experience, Dr Nayar let me grab my baby during delivery and hold him for a long time. Very recommend!!!

Dr. Nayar is the "BEST" Dr. any pregnant mom could be blessed to have. He listens, he is gentle & he "genuinely" cares for both mom and baby/babies. I am currently 47 years old. Dr. Nayar's patient since I was 18. He's delivered 3 of my babies, showed so much empathy through my miscarriages. I'm so honoured to have my oldest daughter, 2nd generation as his patient. Once your his patient, your considered family. Words can't express how "wonderful" Dr. Nayar & his staff are. To think after 30 years his staff is still with his practice, speaks volumes. 5 stars aren't enough to rate Dr. Nayar and his "caring and wonderful" staff.

Referred by a friend to go with Dr. Scheel. My first appointment with the nurse practitioner went well. She was nice, informative, and she made me feel comfortable. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted. The only thing I didnt like about my first appointment was the wait time. I had to schedule my appointment in the am and request time off on such short notice at work. When I arrived on time i waited for two hours to be called. Also, the front desk staff are rude. They just want to hurry up and get you out of there. When I schedule an appointment to meet Dr Scheel it didnt go well. I was excited about meeting him because I heard he was really nice and friendly. Wrong! He has poor attitude and poor service. This is my first pregnancy so i have questions and concerns. He lecture me everytime i had questions about my pregnancy. So I decided to go with a different doctor. Also, i didnt want to deliver my baby at the Birth Place after all. Look at the reviews. I had heard so many great things about this doctor when I first found out I was pregnant. When I started going I noticed a pattern with each visit. I am not even exaggerating when I say that they took over an hour and a half just to take my vitals, and every time I went my visits were 10-15 minutes so I would spend 2 hours here just for a 10 minute visit. All of the appointments I had were with nurse practitioners not once did I ever get to meet Dr Nayar. I’ve obviously switched over to a different doctor since. I couldn't find the establishment, so this review under Dr. Nayar will have to do. While my time spent with Dr.Nayar was all of 5 mins, I can't gush more about the nurse practitioners. They went above and beyond in trying to help me! I was unaware this establishment closed at 1:00pm on Fridays. My insurance was ending on that day, and since I work graveyard shifts, I didnt hear any of my morning alarms. Not only did they do their best to try to resolve the issue with me 20 mins before they closed, but they stayed way past the closing hours to assist me! Thank you Stephanie! I went to his office for the first time this past December because I had been having bad side effects from my birth control. I've always gone to military hospitals and this was my first time going to a civilian gyno. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. When I walked in, they made me do a urine pregnancy test when I was there for my birthcontrol side effects in the first place. The restroom was filthy. The entire place seemed like an unsterile environment. Is that how they are supposed to be? I don't really believe so. So after that I had to wait almost two hours to even be seen after my initial appointment time. I was the first woman there by myself then more and more people came in as the time passed and they almost all got seen before me. The machines they used to check my blood pressure and weight were outdated. No new equipment. And when I finally did get called in to be seen, the conversation lasted no longer than five minutes. All he told me was that he couldn't do anything to help me then proceeded to lecture me about removing my nexplanon and telling me I was going to get pregnant if I took it out. Ummm excuse me! I have no children yet so I think I've taken the proper precautions. I'm not naive. Easy to say I felt judged and offended and will never return back to this office. I love Dr Nayar.. He has delivered all 3 of my children and will deliver my 4th child in March 2018.. He is awesome and amazing at what he does.. I have seen Dr Nayar at every appt.. You are given the option to see him or one of his helpers.. His staff is friendly and always ready to communicate.. I had my first daughter in 2005 and the same staff is still working with Dr Nayar.. I love the nurse staff and doctor I have been seeing him for 20 years. Dr. Nayer has delivered all my four children and he is very attentive. Yes, wait time is long when you have an appointment but is due to him attending to the patients. I recommend his office for ob/gyn services to any woman.

He should have 0 bad reviews. This is my first pregnancy. I had switched to Dr.Nayar when I wasn’t satisfied with my first doctor. He is a likable doctor. If you weren’t seeing him you were seeing one of his helping nurses which are just as great as he is. He hears you out, but he is the specialist and he will give you his best judgement. He does not pressure decisions for you and your baby. When I had delivered at methodist all the nurses had nothing but good things to say and one of the nurses even told us a story on how he saved her life along with her baby’s life. He’s an amazing trustworthy OBGYN Dr . The staff are caring and kind . I would definitely recommend Dr Nayar to anyone .

Dismissed my plans for water birth as too dangerous. Provided a lot of non-evidence based, but opinion based information. Dismissed my birth plan, refused to acknowledge my concerns. Poor bedside manner. Very blunt and brash. The manner in which he relays information is poor.

The best doctor I have ever had! He has been there since the begining.. from 2009 and not being able to get pregnant to delivering both my baby boys in 2012 and 2013! He is very professional, while at the same time very personable. There were some times when I didn't see him since he is the only OB in his practice.. those times I saw Penny and she is amazing!!! I love all the staff there! Now I am in Houston, my husband and I joke that if we have a 3rd baby.. I'm going to have to make the drive to San Antonio just to have Dr. Nayar and his staff be there for the pregnancy.. on a side note he takes in interest in you as a patient and not just a number. I saw him at a hospital for unrelated issues, he came and gave me a huge hug and asked about my boys the he turns4to my aunt and gives her a hug and asked about her kids.. He's an amazing doctor. The staff is kind and caring. He's delivered all 4 of my children. I wouldn't trust anyone else. He always has a female assistant with him, which makes me more comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Nayar has been the only man I can trust for 5 years He's cared so Mich about my health as well as my children's health. I can Honestly say he's the BEST OBGYN in San Antonio. I'd recommend him to just about anyone and everyone. He's always a phone call away.Couldn't be more thankful for all he has done for me and my babies. My last one was a very difficult pregnancy but he promised everything was going to be okay never left my side and now I have a beautiful baby boy and 2 healthy girls.

Dr. Nayar delivered two of my children. One of which he found out in utero that there was something wrong with my middle child's kidneys.He sent me to a neonatal specialist immediately. After delivering my second child with no issues. He tied my tubes at my request bc of family issues but knowing in my heart that's not what I truly wanted. He cut my tubes just enough so that someday I could have it reversed which most doctor's don't do or even give you an option to consider. Then later he performed a total hysterectomy because my uterus was inflamed and I opted for surgery due to my age by that time. He talked to me every step of the way and told me of my options. He was very friendly, made me feel comfortable especially for being pregnant of my first child. He recommended me to a great pediatrician. The best OBGYN.

He has been my ob/gyn for more then a decade and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I trust him completely with my life and the life of my unborn children.
