We had a great experience with Dr Saul Ullman. My sister and I (eye) had a great experience for our cataract surgery with Dr Ullman. The staff is great as well. We recommend him to everyone that needs cataract surgery.

Somewhat disconcerting as my wife's eyesight is a problem after cataract surgery. Previous surgery from another ophthalmologist resulted in much improvement in other eye. We did learn that he has done 45,000 such surgeries. He does not see follow ups as the optometrist does that. Disappointing. The surgeon should see his results. Disappointed. Would not return and wish we had not used that practice.

My eye surgery yesterday was exceptional and I couldn’t be more pleased.

The wait time is very minimal. The appointment is fast but not rushed. Every question was addressed.

Dr. Ullman is the ultimate gentleman and professional. He provides excellent advice, information and service. I will highly recommend him to friends and family if they ever come into need for his expertise.

Dr Michael Ullman did a first class job removing cateracts from my left eye. Everything went smooth as silk and the result is outstanding. Now to get the right eye done. Everyone there was professional.

Dr. Ullman is an amazing professional. I am now one week out after completing cataract removal and IOL implant on my second eye. Every aspect of the process was as close to perfect as I have experienced. The staff members at the Institute are totally professional. Appointments are respected and happen as scheduled. The results have been amazing. My vision has been very poor for my entire life. The new lenses have not only resolved the cataracts but also my long standing serious astigmatism. My sight has gone from 20/120 or worse to 20/25 and improving as the eyes heal in. I was expecting to need reading glasses, but I really do not. I can read better than I had been able to read with glasses. The procedure was quick and painless during and after each operation. The results are astounding! Thank you Dr. Ullman and your staff for a life-improving experience.

Perfect outcome! Both cataracts removed and IOLs placed at age 65. Heard of so many who agonized over the type of lens, the strength, brand, whatever, but after my discussions with Dr. Saul Ullman, I was completely confident that whatever decision he made would be the best for me. I was under the care of complete professional. Experienced. Unmatched in skill. Amazing to see my yellow world turn crystal clear. No redness. No irritation. Detailed pre-and post surgery in instructions from Dr. and staff. I can drive at night and in rain with no fear. I had forgotten (grown accustomed to) how my freedom had been restricted by my cataracts. Now, I have no need of contacts or reading glasses. I checked online, neighborhood review groups, people walking their dogs, strangers at stores, if they had a surgeon recommendation. The answer always came back ....Dr. Saul Ullman. They were so right!

Cataract surgery was great! He put the Symphony lens in my left eye!! Best decision for me. He is responsible for my great eyesight! I can read the very small writing on cans in the grocery store- no glasses! I am so excited to be able to read and also see at a distance and everything in between!! I followed recommendations of some friends of mine from church who used Dr. Ullman and called for an appointment to get my second cataract done. I had used a different Dr. for my right eye cataract surgery and was TOTALLY disappointed with the results. Once Dr. Ullman completed my surgery on my left eye, the results were as different as daylight and dark. I am SO-o-o-o-o- pleased with results and now I have 20/20 vision in that eye. He was so wonderful to explain my planned surgery so well and was so passionate about my expected results. He even called me personally, at home ,after studying my consultation visit results and explained to me my best options so I could get the maximum best results of my surgery and for his concern for my satisfaction. That is going above and beyond and is above reproach. Kudo's to Dr. Ullman. He's the one to use. The ONLY negative for using Dr. Ullman is you have to be patient and wait, because he is in such demand.

When I moved from Miami in 1994, I asked several of my clients, who were doctors and teachers at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute if there was anyone they could recommend in this area. The answer, Saul Ullman, only. He has done my vision correction surgery and all my problems over the years up to my cataract surgery. I went from 20/600 and 20/750 to 20/20 in both eyes! He is excellent and now only performs cataract surgery. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Ullman has performed 2 cataract surgeries on me. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Dr Saul Ullman and his staff. My eyes are now nearly 20/20! Beautiful office, great staff and Dr Ullman is very personable and explains everything in detail. I appreciated receiving print-outs of all instructions. Videos are very informative also. He is very busy but it's worth the wait to get an appointment with Dr Ullman! I think he's the #1 Cataract Dr in Pensacola. In addition, he is a "dog" person.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes with standard lens implants 2 weeks apart and it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend him as well as his office staff. My vision changed from 20/200 uncorrected to 20/20 & 20/25 without glasses. Thank you Dr. Ullman and all involved for the precious gift of clear vision.

After having cataract surgery about 4 years ago with another Doctor, I wasn't pleased with the results and was hesitant to have my second eye done. I was referred to Dr. Ullman by a very good friend who was almost legally blind and had Dr. Ullman install permanent lens in both of her eyes! She never had to wear glasses after that! She said he was the best! I originally had an appointment scheduled earlier in the year but it was postponed due to Covid. My surgery went well and the post checkups were short and very informative. I received so much better care with Dr. Ullman and my vision is excellent. I would recommend Dr. Ullman to anyone who is uncertain of what their vision could be! The Dr. is as good as it gets, a true master at his craft! Thank you Dr. Ullman for the care I received!

From my initial assessment with Dr. Ullman to the completion of my two different cataract removal surgeries, I recognized that I was in the hands of a competent, knowledgeable surgeon who knows what he is doing and is something of a master. He was quite clear in answering my many questions and took steps to alleviate my fears. I had cataracts on both eyes and astigmatism. There is a lens designed to address astigmatism and he outlined its merits, but I never felt pressured to make that more expensive choice and didn't choose to do it on my first surgery. I decided to do it on the second and it made a real difference. I am thrilled with my "new" eyes. Dr. Ullman is caring, thorough, no-nonsense in manner, and totally professional. I trust him implicitly and highly recommend him. Ullman's staff is also excellent! An aside: he also recognized a different eye issue that I have that had never been detected by my regular ophthalmologist who has since confirmed it.

Waited to see Dr Ullman for months. When I went for my first appointment I found him to be the most harsh , condescending, rude doctor I have ever seen. Left his office and told my husband that I would never go back. Went to another doctor in Pensacola for correction of my astigmatisms, cataract removal and multifocal lens implants, and had pleasant and very successful experience. Dr Ullman needs to remember who is paying who!

I consulted with Dr. Ullman due to my impaired vision due to cataracts. I could not have asked for nor received a better experience starting with the initial consultation to the final results after surgery was completed on both eyes on separate occasions. Dr. Ullman was extremely professional as was his entire staff. They took the time to not only examine my eyes but to also explain all details involved and options available. All, further answered all my questions in detail. Dr. Ullman provided a pre and post surgical process with easy to follow directions to help insure satisfactory results and minimize any complications. Dr. Ullman personally following up later the same day as surgery to check as to how I was doing. From the office visits to the surgery there was great communication which made for a flawless experience. Since the surgery I no longer need glasses except for a mild over the counter reader pair. I would highly recommend Dr. Ullman.

Dr. Ullman did cataract surgery on my mother. He was very kind, compassionate, thorough. I felt he really took his time explaining everything we could want to know about the whole process. My mother is very happy with the outcome and wondered why she waited so long to see Dr. Ullman. I would trust him to take care of any of my family members.

The difference from before and after is nothing short of a miracle! My first cataract surgery was in February 2020 when Dr. Ullman implanted a Toric lens to correct my poor vision that requiring me to wear strong corrective lenses costing over $500 every two years. The day after surgery my sight returned to 20/20 in my left eye which was considerably worse than my right eye. I no loner needed corrective lenses at all, only weak readers for reading papers and working on the computer. Due to the pandemic my right eye surgery was delayed and recently completed again with a Toric lens implanted. My vision is now 20/20 in both my eyes and I don’t need the readers except for close or near fine work. Excellent results. I asked Dr Ullman for the Symphony lens and my vision is great for distance (20/20) and reading (20/25). No more glasses! Very professional organization and staff.

After wearing glasses for over forty years, I had cataract surgery on both eyes and had Symfony IOL lenses installed. I went from not having any distance vision and bifocals for reading to not needing glasses at all. My vision is now 20/25 in both eyes. I would highly recommend the Symfony IOL lens implants. The office staff and the doctor's assistants were very friendly and informative. The office visit with Dr. Ullman went very well and he listened and answered my questions. Dr. Ullman took great care of my eyes when I was a very young child. I was his only child patient at that time. Dr Ullman is an amazing doctor. He is very thorough and explain everything you need to know. He truly cares about his patients and make sure all their questions are answered. He is a highly skilled surgeon, but more than that, he cares about all of his patients. I completely trust my eyes to him and that is why he will always be the doctor I go to for eye care. His staff is polite, attentive and helpful.

Made appointment several months ago for December (earliest available). Due to insurance issues I had to call to change appointment to January but that was not possible. Next available is March, then several months out to schedule cataract surgery. I asked if I could be put on the surgery schedule, since it is also scheduling out until the Spring. Was told no, they can't schedule until Dr. Ullman determines that I need surgery (though i have been told for 2 years by others that I need cataract surgery). So, by the time I would see him in March, surgery would be a few months later, that puts me into June or July.... a YEAR from when I originally called for an appointment. I'm sure he is a wonderful doctor, but his schedule is simply not reasonable!

First visit as a new patient today. Dr. Ullman had the beginnings of a cold and wore a mask which I appreciated. You could tell he wasn't feeling 100% but that doesn't give him a pass for being somewhat impatient, rude and condescending towards me. I had been looking forward to meeting and talking with him today. I was greatly disappointed. I hope he's not like that when he is feeling better. His staff was the friendliest and nicest group of women, I give them a 6 out of 5.

Dr Ullman was great! He restored my vision in my left eye! It was a miracle for sure! I have 20/20 vision in both eyes now cuz he operated on both!! Thanks again!!!

I was referred to Dr Ullman by a friend and am so thankful she did. I have vision isssues that required special placement of my right eye cataract implant and Dr Ullman had the expertise to do just that. I have cataracts in my left eye also and Dr Ullman will definitely be the one to do that surgery!! I can't say enough good things about him and his staff.

Dr. Ulman was recommended to me by three other physicians. He certainly met my expectations. My first surgery went well. I was especially impressed by his office which has a personal touch, full of collected art. His staff is wonderful. The videos explained every part of the procedure for cataract removal and went through follow-up care with precision. Overall, it is the best organized medical practice I have experienced.
