Doctor Saul Silver is the reason my mom, “Mama Lu” is still living a fun life at 90 years old! His professionalism, knowledge and sincere caring demeanor is like no other. He goes the extra mile for his patients which makes us confident we’re in good hands.

Dr Silver- My Hero. Thanks Doc for many many years of care. I believe I would be deceased if not for you. My many stints (from too many years of not eating well, not exercising due to severe back issue, and of course not following all your wishes and advice) continue to function well and the PRE-VENTATIVE care from you over the years has kept me going. First heart-attack 21 years ago and NONE since! My (bloodwork) numbers are actually very good as your care, evaluation and control and monitoring of my prescriptions has been working GREAT. Thank-You for being there. I also am so very impressed with your office staff. Very very little wait time and great help from your very FRIENDLY and KNOWLEDGEABLE staff. Dr. Silver is the best. At a hospital in a different state I was told that blockage was in an artery too small to stent and to treat it with medications but the symptoms got worse. At UPMC Dr. Silver was determined to find out what was going on with my heart. He personally took me down to have stress test showed me what was going on and took me in to have stent put in this wee artery. It was difficult but he was up to the task. I'd never had a Doctor behave with such care and compassion not to mention skill. Also, the entire staff were very thoughtful and competent. Thanks to all at UPMC.

Dr. Silver is the best doctor I have ever been to in my life!! I went to Dr. Silver for a rapid heart beat. It turns out that I have a thyroid condition that is causing my heart to race. If it wasn't for Dr. Silver being extremely thorough and compassionate this condition would have gone untreated. He ordered blood work, an echocardiogram, and also got me into see a new oncologist that day. He called me at 10:00 at night to give me the results of my bloodwork! He ordered my thyroid medicine immediately. His office called me to refer an endocrinologist. I have never had any doctor take so much time, and show so much compassion. Dr. Silver is a highly skilled cardiologist! He was able to sift through my husband's intensive health records and in less than ten minutes, discern what had caused a 'probable' seizure. Not only is he impeccable in character as a heart specialist, he is also personable with a great sense of humor! In addition, the office staff at the West Mifflin office are friendly, professional, and efficient! We especially want to thank Erika and the office manger for their assistance in getting my husband an appointment so quickly with this highly regarded physician! Thank you! Dr Silver has kept me alive! I have EIGHT stints (the last 6 from Dr Silver). I see him twice a year. He is the BEST.

Dr. Silver is an excellent physician who genuinely cares about his patients. He taught me a great deal about how to improve my health with simple lifestyle changes such as proper nutrition before immediately resorting to a medicine regimen of daily pills.
