Dr Kuokkanen sets the standard for patient-centered care. She treats her patients with dignity. She was the third RE that I tried, and on the first visit I knew she was the doctor I wanted to guide my fertility journey. During our first visit she took her time thoroughly reviewing my medical history with me, and didn't rush to determine a diagnosis and treatment. Her attention to detail was especially important to me as Black patients often face certain health disparities and outcomes. She encourages her patients to take an active role in the process. As I would read and research new info, she was always open to my questions and made the effort to return phone calls on the same day. She was very unwelcoming. I would not recommend her .

Cattle call anyone! Ugh. No complaints if you get a baby bc you so grateful that you forget or willing to prerend to forget how horrible this place makes you feel and how cold Dr Koukannon is!

Highly recommended!!! From the very beginning I was so appreciative of her analytical and informative approach. She did for my husband and I what no other doctor was able to do. We are now expecting and we are so grateful for Dr. K's attentive manner and disposition to help. I have recommended her to my friends and if you're contemplating between doctors, don't! I would not go to anyone else. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. They are very considerate of their patients. The office communicates via the online portal or the phone. Very useful if you're like me and work all day. They have appointments available super early too if you don't want to take off of work (this was the best!). They even have a specialty pharmacy for patients who pay out of pocket like we did. Truly an amazing experience all around! Highly recommended!!! I am 36 years old and I my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for years now and NO luck. I have been working with Dr. Setu since December 2020 and It is now January 2021 and I must say everything has been going wonderful so far. She is very kind, understanding, knowledgeable and thorough.She goes way out of her way to do what is necessary to be done on your behalf.She just started me on birth control as of yesterday and I’m now ready to start this journey. So far so good...I don’t regret choosing her as my doctor. Please don’t hesitate if you are considering her as your IVF Doctor. She is truly amazing so far :)

Ladies do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this doctor. For 6 months she miss diagnosed me with polyps until another doctor said I had them. At my last appointment she had a nurse tell me I had a cyst on my ovary. Never a call from her or follow as to what to do. Lastly her bedside manner and the way she spoke to me isn't so great. I REPORTED her to the office manager but nothing was done.

Dr. Satu is one of the best doctor for infertility treatment. Me and my wife always wanted to have a baby and with dr. Satu’s help that became a reality. We just have our first son. My husband and I had infertility issues and Dr Kuokkanen helped us fulfilled our dream of becoming parents through IVF. She was very personable, she always took the time necessary to explain the different steps of the procedure and I can only recommend her.

Dr. Kuokkanen started my IVF treatment in 2013. She helped me to achieve my successful pregnancy during my first IVF cycle with her in 2014. I started another IVF cycle with a different doctor in the same clinic due to my relocation. after 2 failed cycle with this other doctor, I switched back to Dr. Kuokkanen, and she made another success for me during the very first try. I have to say Dr. Kuokkanen is the best IVF doctor, I highly recommend her to anyone! I appreciate her so much!

Dr. Setu one of the best Endocrinology in New York. With her valuable experience and precise treatment I become mother after 20 years! My first son born on February 16th 2016 at North-shore LIJ Hospital. Dr. Setu administrate my IVF in June 2015.

Great doctor!! She is patient with questions, and very meticulous with everything! She does not let anything just pass, if questionable- she will get you tested. I had numerous blood tests, brain MRI, and she had her colleague give me a second ultrasound just to make sure it was safe for the fresh embryo transfer because there was a slight concern for OHSS. Long island ivf is a big institution but she made me feel i was being taken care of.
