Dr. Sathish Modugu

Dr. Modugu is very engaging and empathic. I felt he really understood my pain issues and spoke to me in real world terms. He also walks you out to the front desk to be sure all your needs are met by his staff, who are also great.

This guy should be in prison for the amount of oxy he prescribed during the opioid epidemic. Ruined families

I waited weeks to be seen only to receive a call from his staff a week after my visit to advise me that they do not take my insurance. I initially called the office to check and was assured they do. He came highly recommended so I changed insurance and waited for the new year for it to take effect. I spent 2 hours obtaining copies of radiographs, MRI'S and ct scans, as Dr. Modugu asked for them during my very first visit. Having changed insurance and made a new appointment, I thought I may finally get some pain relief from a specialist. The doctor was rude, demonstrated no interest in helping and didn't even bother to look at the medical images that took 2 hours in different hospitals to acquire. He said he'd call the referring doctor. He refused to make another appointment and simply said, I'll call you. He never did. This doctor is absolutely useless for someone in extreme pain. I would never recommend him to anyone, not even for a paper cut.

Dr. Modugu helped me manage my pain in the past. However, I can not say the same about the staff. Not sure if they changed them. They were great in the past and actually care. The new staff need some sort of training. I felt attacked when is the least needed when one is in pain. They left me no option, but to stick with the pain, until I feel better to see if I can find another doctor????

Great Doctor

My husband is a patient of the Doctor, today I called to make an appointment my husband he’s having pain from his sciatica, I was told the doctor was not in Hartsdale today that he was in Poughkeepsie we were willing to drive up there and after speaking to the receptionist they would not give us an appointment because my husband hasn’t been there in a while she had the office manager call me and I asked her if we can come in and she said no the earliest appointment was the end of June that we should go to the emergency room, we all know dealing with the emergency room is a waste of money all they do is give you pain medication which we don’t want it wanted an epidural but he’s had several times before it works great and that’s that. Dr Modugu is a great doctor. He takes the time to evaluate and listen to his patients. He prescribes medication and treatments for the symptoms and pain you are experiencing.

This is a doctor to avoid. His only concern is for you to by Canabis. If you tell him you do not want cannabis he will insult you and tell you you do not know what you are doing. Do not let him test your urine. He will submit other people’s urine that is drug laden scarring u for life!

I went for a cortisone shot today and they were so wonderful. I love the office staff and the Dr was very informative and explained my MRI to me. He’s the one Dr I don’t get stressed going there. ????????

Love the staff, they are all very attentive and kind. Dr. Modugu is very caring and helpful in making sure you are ok before you leave. He always takes time to walk you out and makes sure you get your next appointment. I’m very thankful I choose this office.

Perhaps the worst experience I've had with a physician in years. The Dr does not listen nor does he have any patience when asked a question. His staff is as rude as he is. After nearly 5 weeks, I had to threaten to find another doctor just to get him to give me a corticosteroid injection. Do yourself a favor, find another pain doctor. Very honest and awesome bed side manner. Most of all he helped me feel better. I literally called and in a few days was in and getting trigger injections now feeling 75% better. I have been a patient for years and trust him and his staff 100%

Unless you are willing to argue with both the doctor and his staff to get anything done, you will not be satisfied with this particular Dr. Zero empathy and a rude staff. Find another option.

If you want a pain doctor who cares nothing for whether you're in pain or not, who gets irritated if you ask questions and takes more than 4 weeks or back and forth for xrays and mri's before he does anything then this is your guy. Be prepared to have to advocate for yourself, because no one in this practice will help you without a fight.

Dr Moduqu was so nice and made me feel so relaxed. He took his time with me and explained everything before he did it. His staff was very polite and Eva who assisted him was wonderful. I recommend this Doctor to everyone.

His staff was professional and super courteous. Hello to you there reading my review! First off I would like to wish you a speedy and proper pain managed recovery. I have been a patient of Dr. Modugu for approxiametly a little over a year and have been in search of a real, who so call themselves Pain Management Doctors. I have been to exactly 4 doctors prior to now being under the care of Dr. Modugu which I can finally say I have finally found a Pain Management Doctor that I will stay with. I was recommended to Dr. Modugu by my orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rich Weinstein who by the way is great and the funny thing is that he is in the same building as a pain management facility but still referred me to Dr. Modugu. *KEEP READING I KNOW ITS LONG BUT WORTH IT* I have been through multiple surgeries in various locations. Had 2 knee surgeries on my right knee (1st was an ACL Tear/2nd was a basically a blown knee with full ACL,MCL,ECL,Meniscus tears) then also 2 surgeries on my shoulder (1st was a Labrum Tear then followed up by arthroscopic surgery to remove broken bone fragments and a couple other bits and pieces) and lastly I have numerous herniated discs but the worst is my blown L5-S1. *JUST A LITTLE MORE BUT READ* I am on a pain regimen with medication as well as trigger injections when needed. But the thing is we actually spoke so we can get the right lets say medical cocktail that will suit me and he is the only doctor that took his time to do so. Listen everyone needs there own regimen but Dr. Modugu takes his time and helps find the right medication to take and to change dosages either to increase or decrease. Also his assistant Eva is awesome because before you see the doctor she is a friendly face that takes the time to go over everything and actually remembers s**t about you like things you spoke about a visit you had over5 weeks ago and the front office staff when you come in is always welcoming and always love to have a laugh with you. Whats worst is some people who make reviews don't take the time to actually see the whole picture. People complain about why didn't you get this covered or my insurance isn't approving this so why aren't you doing something. First let me say that all these complaints and whining about that isn't the doctors office's fault because they can only put prior authorizations in so many times and they have to WAIT for a response before submitting again. Trust me there can always be an error on their part but if one person did it wrong another person in the office makes sure it gets done and want happen again. I have been a patient of Dr Modugu for over 14 years. He has been there for me through the worst & most painful time of my life. People that dont experience the ongoing, life changing pain you have after going through a traumatic experience does not understand how important it is to be under the care of a compassionate, highly experienced pain management doctor. Dr Modugu is that and MORE. He has implemented various pain management plans over the years for me and has literally brought me from wheelchair to WALKING. I can tell you that you will be treated with the utmost respect, professionalism and have a doctor that is state of the art. His office is centrally located, plenty of parking, and a WONDERFUL, helpful & friendly staff. Make sure you call ahead for your 1st appointment and schedule your next appointment before you leave. He is such an excellent doctor and is busy. ( Be cautious if you go to a doctor who ISN'T busy!) That alone says a lot about the doctor/ group you see!) Excellent doctor, caring, took his time listening to my thoughts and concerns. Very helpful and kind. Everyone in his office treated me very well, courteous, personable and helpful dealing with my insurance and setting up the tests that Dr Modugu had requested I get. I found Dr. Modugu in 2010. I was barely walking and out of work on disability. After being treated by him I was able to return to work. I had to have spinal surgery and I was no longer in need of his services. I began to experience pain again earlier this year and instantly thought of Dr. Modugu. His office has relocated and his staff has changed. But, from the front desk, the ladies Stacey, Tiffany, Vanessa and Eva are warm and welcoming. My trusted primary care doctor was the person who referred me to Dr Modugu to manage the daily incredible pain from an on the job injury to my neck and back in 2004. Dr Modugu is a knowledgeable Pain Management Dr who genuinely cares for his patients. He is thorough, informative, and supportive. He advocates for your treatment. I never feel rushed in spite of the fact that his office is busy. He takes time with his patients. His professional staff is very friendly and helpful and truly understand patients with pain. Excellent doctor

His office is the most unprofessional group of people. They have been stringing along my husband for 3 months and continuously messing up issues with our insurance causing him to still not received the proper care he needs. They don't even follow up with us we have to call their office multiple times a day to get a hold of someone who even slightly knows what they are talking about. We have never waited shorter than an hour to see the doctor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!

I found Dr. Modugu very condescending. He genuinely spent 5 minutes with me on my first visit and told me multiple times I am too young to be in this kind of pain, even though I have been to physical therapy multiple times and it has been documented with my primary care doctor. It seemed as if he believed I was making it up. He simply said I should go to the gym and my back pain should go away,even though I told him I tried the gym but would get muscle spasms. I don’t plan on returning.

My experience with Dr. Sathish Modugu has been very good and I’m glad to have him as a doctor. I recommend him to anyone who needs a doctor. The environment of his office is very welcoming as well.

Dr.Modugu was great.He made me feel very comfortable.Very nice to talk to.His staff is very nice.I never had to wait long in the office to see the Dr.He's very caring if his patients.

Dr. Modugu prescribed a pain killer that seriously interferes with another medicine I was taking. Despite having given his staff a typed list of prescriptions, he still prescribed this medication with no mention of possible deadly interactions. The pharmacist caught the potentially dangerous interaction after I tried refilling the other medication. At that point I had been on the pain meds for 3 weeks. When I called Dr. Modugu's office and explained, he never called back. Such arrogance.

If you have ever experienced excruciating pain, you know that you would do ANYTHING for relief. Dr. Modugu provides that relief in a comprehensive, targeted approach that greatly lessens or eliminates that pain. I have been his patient for more than 20 years. I recommend friends and family to Dr. Modugu. We are thankful for the service he provides. Life would be too painful to live without his expertise.

When first seeing Dr Moduga he told me he was going to have to start cutting my meds and was very worried bc I have been on such high doses for years and years but now have been with him for 18 months and could not be happier. He has gotton me on the lowest doses I have ever been since my failed back surgery's and I am in VERY BAD pain but the rest of my body and my mind feel better and I thank him for that.
