Dear Dr. Eapen, It’s with great love for you and Debbie that I am still doing well and alive as you and Jersey Shore Medical Center saved my life 23 years ago. You began my treatment as DKA in intensive care emergency with a blood sugar of 1192 in 1999 and continued for 10 years until I was 20-21 years old. 13 years past your treatment, I still find myself remembering that you both told me to take my condition seriously. We first met Dr Eapen after our teenaged son was transferred from another ER to JSUMC for treatment of new onset diabetes. Dr Eapen was wonderful during our entire stay at the hospital. He and his team were thorough, kind, compassionate,& provided my son with the information and tools to learn to deal with his T1 diabetes confidently. Even though his office is quite far from our home, we will continue care with him. You can entrust your childs care to him without reservation.

Dr. Eapen took care of my t1 son for many years. He is compassionate and caring, I would trust my kids with him anytime. When my son was diagnosed at 14, we met Dr. Eapen in the ER. Along with his right hand girl, Deb Grande, they instilled the proper amount of fear and respect for his newly diagnosed condition. I credit them for the awesome diabetic my son is today. Diabetes hasn't stopped my son from achieving his dreams! He was a division 1 wrestler at Rider University, top 10 finisher!
