She's very knowledgeable about her work and the way she does things, she's kind and friendly

I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant with my first child and, so far, I'm really happy with my choice of Dr. Gottwald as my OB! She's very efficient and to the point without seeming cold or unempathetic. I feel comfortable asking her questions and she's never made me feel stupid or like I'm wasting her time.

30 minutes late with no apology or anything. Very cold demeanor and bedside manner left much to be desired. Wasn’t warm or reassuring when I almost passed out in her office. Made a comment to a nurse under her breath and was very rude. She also gave me an STD test without informing me or asking my consent. If you’re looking for a caring OB during your pregnancy, I wouldn’t come here.

I love Dr. Gottwald. My only concern is that when I went in for my first pre-natal visit, she asked me if this was a 'good time' to be pregnant. I immediately told her to stop that I did not want to hear more. I personally do not like having a doctor who thinks babies are something that can just be 'planned' or 'disposed' of. For people out there that this type of manner matters to them, I wanted to let them know. She knows I'm a married woman, and I was shocked she would have even asked me that question. Outside of this, she is a very professional doctor.
