I made my daughter's appointment over a month ago, this office has a very strict cancellation policy. I had to jump through hoops to get a referral appointment, settle for an appointment that was a month out, fill out copious amounts of paperwork, multiple texts were sent about their cancellation policy. If you cancel, they will refuse to re-book. Ok, I can understand it is a busy practice but give me a break! The morning of my daughter's appointment (scheduled for 3:30pm) they cancelled her appointment at 9:15! What about my compensation??? I had to take an afternoon off from work, my daughter was home because of vacation so I wouldn't have to pull her out of school etc etc etc. Not only did they cancel but then they couldn't fit her in for yet another week. I would recommend finding another specialty group, this is not worth the hassle of scheduling and being berated by their cancellation policy when they can cancel anytime on YOU!! Dr. Escalera and her staff have been wonderful with us for the last 18 months. My 16 year old daughter is pretty sick, it's stressful. Anna, Mercedes, everyone has been great. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE! The secretary ANNA is AWFUL and very RUDE! She always is rude when I call! Until I then had to put her in her place she then hung up on me while I was making a appointment so I had to call back and talk to someone higher then her and address the issue. Over all Dr. Esculara is awesome very friendly and kind. But the front end - secretary Anna very rude! I do not recommend this office due to the front staff! GREAT STAFF, and Dr. Escalera is such a sweet, compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring Doctor.

Dr. Escalera has been amazing with my son. Not only did she deal with his different GI issues wonderfully well when other doctors had not, her personality is warm, encouraging, and professional. I cannot say enough good things about her.

Horrible, don’t subject your child to this uncaring, self serving poor excuse for a physician

Terrible experience with Dr Escalera. In a first visit she spoke 90% of the time and listened 10%. Did not communicate her thoughts/presumptions well. We were very uncomfortable with the experience. To make things worse, we received a very large bill and when we asked them to modify the code, Pro Health took months to resolve and assured me it would not go to a billing collection agency before we received an answer.... they sent it to a billing collection agency anyway... I would never go back to Dr Escalera again...

Dr. Escalera is amazing!! She has been my son's doctor for almost 17 years. My son LOVES her, always nice, always goes that extra mile for my son....I highly recommend her.

Dr Escalera is very thorough and open to out of the box thinking when it comes to my child’s care. She takes her time to answer baby and all concerns that we may have. She speaks to us as the parents but makes sure to speak with my child as well, recognizing the importance of being a team while we navigate our way through disease. We prefer to be as holistic as possible and she appreciates that as well. The office staff are very friendly and accommodating when it comes to working with us to find an appointment time that works best with us and our busy schedules. Dr Escalera has been treating my daughter for a little over a year. She was able to get her symptoms under control within days and had maintained her over the last year and a half. No more screaming in pain! I highly recommend her!

We had been struggling for a few years to get to ge bottom of my daughters GI issues. Dr Escalera was thourough and ordered the appropriate blood work and tests. We now have an official diagnosis and have made modifications to her diet vs masking her issues with medications.

Dr Escalera is AMAZING! I really don't have the words to describe what an angel she is and how lucky we were to be pointed in her direction. My daughter was screaming around the clock, throwing up, was constipated etc. She wasn't sleeping well and seemed very uncomfortable. Dr Escalera spent an hr with us explaining every symptom and made an diagnosis. We immediately saw results within 24 hours. I highly recommend her! My only complaint is its hard to get an apt b/c shes booked.

They refused to see my daughter stating that we missed an appointment couple of years ago; our daughter is 18 months old, we have never made an appointment with this doctor before. Maybe Department of Health should look into this since this doctor seems to make her own rules with no regard for her patients.

Sandra Escalera refused to see my daughter because we missed an appointment. It took 3 phone calls of trying to schedule before they finally gave me a real answer of refusal. She also passed off her stomach issues as growing pains and refused to even do allergy tests even when there is a history of allergies in the family. My child has been seeing Dr. Escalera for a few years know and we have had a great experience. Office staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Dr. Escalera put our child at easy and most importantly we have had excellent results.

My child had a procedure done at Yale & was told Dr. Escalera had her own staff. The nurse could not tap a vein for the anesthetic to go into. After 8 times of trying, I was sent out of the room not knowing what was going on or if my child was safe. Routine blood work ordered by my child's Ped. to be done at this time was NOT completed. I could NOT get any records afterwards from her office for my child's medical file. Very incompetent staff but thankful that my child is okay.
