Excellent care

Great experiece in all ways.

Always a pleasure to interact with Dr. Varma. You never feel as if though you saw the doctor. You visited with a friend.

Dr. Varma is amazing. He is down to earth and easy to talk to (and a little unfiltered at times). He has the perfect balance of concern for an issue while also, setting the patient at ease and not panicking about every symptom. His knowledge base is exceptional and his quality of patient care is also top-notch.

While the referral took a while, my first appointment with Dr Varma went very well. He he was thorough and addressed areas of concern. He also suggested exercise I could do at home that would be helpful. Dr Varma has a straight forward manner and terrific sense of humor which I greatly appreciate.

Dr. Varma took his time and listened to me, which is very rare nowadays.

Wonderful, sweet caring guy. Really caring doctor. They don't make them like this anymore.

Everyone is very attentive and understanding. Explained and detail and offered to video me doing exercises so I could refer back to them if needed

Dr Varma and his staff are always friendly and I highly recommend them! They all take time to explain when you have questions.

Always a great experience. Dr Varma is kind. caring, and extremely detailed in all aspects of my healthcare. Also, the fact that he is incredibly cheerful makes the visit even more pleasant. He can never retire!

EXCELLENT CARE, PROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF.

Dr. Varma is a world class rheumatologist with not only great skill, but a wonderful sense of humor. His staff are professional, friendly, and kind. I feel truly blessed to be under Dr. Varma's care

Dr Varma and his staff have superceded may expectations for my care. They went the extra mile to get my insurance company to approve my treatment plan in a few days instead of weeks as it normally does and then expedited my first infusion. The nursing staff at the infusion center were absolutely fabulous and stayed late to insure I was monitored properly. They kept in constant contact with Dr Varma during my infusion. Dr. Varma listens to me about my concerns and problems. He explains things to me where I am able to understand. He also provides me with a plan to help me feel better.

The Doc is a fine person and a wonderful physician who is open to my ideas and presents himself is a comforting person.

Excellent Doctor, wonderful personality, extraordinary help to me and the most wonderful office and support staff at Hartford Healthcare. Very pleased. It was worth the 2-year wait to switch to Dr. Varma's practice!

Wonderful experience all together from the staff to the doctor. Dr. Varma was amazing and absolutely hilarious. He made me super comfortable and relaxed. I 100% recommend him and his staff.

Dr Sandeep Varma and his team at the Backus Arthritis Center have been with me through the long and sometimes rocky road of psoriatic arthritis for many years. Dr Varma feels much like a family member and is truly one of the most personable physicians I’ve ever known. I’ve been fortunate to be under the care of Dr Varma and his team. I’m always treated with respect and dignity by all. The various treatments that I’ve had to try through the years have always been professionally and intelligently handled. We are of like minds and his outstanding understanding of pain and what it can do to a person's mind and body!!! Dr. Varma is knowledgeable in his particular area of medicine, he listens and pays attention to the patient's issues and concerns. He is very kind, patient and has a wonderful sense of humor!!!

The visit, the entire staff, the prep, the procedure, was 5 stars+. I highly recommend. Not at anytime did I feel rushed or uncared for.

Dr Varma is very personable and takes his time to explain everything with you. you wont g wrong going to Dr. Varma's practice.

Dr. Varma is one of the best doctors out there! He talks to you like you're one of his friends. He's thorough and doesn't rush through any questions. Love this doctor!!!

I would want no other Doctor for my RA. Sadly I had to leave him when I lost my insurance and have been without care for a couple of years. I have however gotten insurance back and my primary is making the referral for my return. He is such a wonderful man, eases your nerves with jokes and he has them let me tell you! Is very thorough when he explains what he needs you to do, he doesn't just tell you, he has you do the exercises a couple of times in front of him so that he knows you understand. Most importantly, he listens and you can tell it hurts him to see any patient of his "hurting" He will do whatever he can possibly do to help. (now a days they are limited and can't be blamed for that) If you are looking for a great rheumatologist, no need to look any further, you found him! FIVE STARS!

Dr Varma was funny, kind, and put me at ease.

I was so happy with my experience with Dr. Varma. In the past I’ve found it difficult to find a physician that I like. He took the time to listen without dismissing me and he let me know that he will continue to monitor me to find the root of the issue. He is extremely personable and easy to relate to. Great experience.

I've been working with Dr. Varma for about a year now. He has a wonderful "bed side" presence, and really seems to understand whatever I'm trying to explain to him. He is VERY knowledgeable, and trying different things to help me feel better. I will update this review once I have been with him longer.
