One of the worst doctors I have ever had. He wasn't concerned about my health at all, he didn't look at my lab work or notes. I have hypertension and he tried to prescribe me medicine to boost my blood pressure because of one of my conditions. I had to stop him and asked, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" why would you prescribe this knowing i have high blood pressure? He just stood there looking stupid.That's a mistake that could of cost me my life. Stay away from him at all cost!

I have no idea why he has this low of a rating. Dr. Rana took the time and the patience to understand what was going on, knew exactly what I was in need of, listened, gave unbiased medical advice to me, and get to know me as a person to understand why I am seeing him and will continue to see him! Thank you for being a fantastic neurologist and a great doctor in general!

Terrible experience. Stopped listening as I described my symptoms. Didnt read referring neurologist's notes (the referring doc was from the same office!). Started telling me about my previous bloodwork. I tried to correct him and bring it up on my phone, but he refused to listen. I sat there while he fumbled through the computer system. I finally got his assistant (student?) To look at the records on my phone so she could show him. He got visibly annoyed when then exam was painful to me. He then referred me back to rheumatology without any explanation, despite my symptoms and test results showing that I needed neurology. Was very considerate of my fiance. Listened to all of his concerns and took the time to answer his questions and to explain his thoughts on the issue including possible causes and treatments.

This is an overall review of Dr. Rana and Allegheny Neurological Assocs. Had testing done a few years ago and now trying to get a copy of those records. They have no copy of records or my visits. I have the bills and insurance documents from the tests. So they don't save old records or they just toss them out.

Absolutely horrible experience dr rana was the worst dr i ever saw he gave me less,then 5 minutes of his time i was his last appointment of the day he went home while i was still asking his nurse questions that he should of answered she said she would call me the next day with answers but never did i left 3 messages over 2 days an,still haven't heard from them i will not pay my bill until i get treated appropriately the worst staff ever and when you call his office all you ever get is the answering machine and Cynthia takes a week to call you back i will never use or reccomend allegheny neurological association to anyone ever. He was the worst dr i have ever been to i thought i was in the twilight zone he never listened to me ,he saw me less then 5 minutes left after my appointment an went home i asked the nurse multiple questions but the dr was gone an she couldnt answer them she said she would call me the next,day with answers but never did i left 3 messages the next 2 days no one ever called back there is no way to ever call in to his office without getting a answering machine i waited 1 month to get in .
