Dr. Samuel V Rizzo

I had a runny nose for over a month. My EX-family doctor told me to “walk it off. It was residuals of pneumonia” I was in and out of the ER approximately 7 times and either she or her husband, my EX- pulmonologist just happened to be there. All they would do is take an x-ray of my chest NOT my face as I begged them to do. I was fed up and while in the ER I told my husband I was going to call DR. RIZZO the next morning. All it took was 15 SECONDS for DR. RIZZO to diagnose me once he looked up my nose. I had a very severe Cerebral Spinal Fluid leak and I needed to get out of town to see a neurosurgeon. I honestly do not remember much after that but I was taken to Allentown Cedar Crest by ambulance. My husband told me I was met by a large surgical team. The following morning I had brain surgery that required me to be put in an induced coma. I woke up 43 days later. I had to learn to swallow, breathe (tracheotomy) and walk again. Since I was cut from ear to ear, I had a free face lift!!

I can't speak highly enough for Dr. Rizzo ! Very professional and knowledgeable doctor. Have gone to this Dr. over the years for a number of different diagnosis and the big one which was 10 years ago was when he diagnosed my throat cancer ! This diagnosis saved my life ! Before I left his office he made sure I was already set up with a radiation appointment and till today I still see Dr. Rizzo !

I have been to see him two times once for a bloody nose and once for ear problems. He is extremely nice . Listen to you and concerns . Does a really tough exam and makes sure to take care of all your concerns and questions. His staff very friendly easy to make appt and talk to.

I would recommend him to anyone! He was wonderful with my mother.
