Dr. Samuel Markind

One of the worst medical experiences ever. Dr. Markind was cold, indifferent, and completely dismissive. He told me that my medical problem was psychiatric. Wrong! I found out from another doctor it's called Hyperacusis, which is a neurological problem! I am getting a needed MRI. This “doctor” should should be forced to retire. Not only was he rude and dismissive, he humiliated my 80 year old father during our visit. We met him to discuss memory concerns we have with my aging father and we walked out belittled and sad. I have been to many doctors as a patient and a health care proxy for my mother. I can say without hesitating that this doctor was the worst we have encountered. I would steer clear of not only the doctor, but the practice that keeps him on staff. An awful experience. I would give a rating of -100 if it were possible. I made an appt to go over the results of a test performed in the office. None of my questions were answered. Dr Markind was dismissive, rude- bordering on verbally abusive, invalidating, and heartless. He completely lacks compassion and kindness. I was treated a like a pesky mosquito he was trying to swat away. Frankly, I have a hard time understanding why he is still employed in this or any other group practice.

Dr Markind should not be in the Healthcare industry. He is a miserable arrogant rude drone. He doesn't engage with the patient. He is dismissive of any suggestions, and he sits facing away from the patient and talks to the wall. If he is so unhappy, he should get a check up from the neck up. It shouldn't be the burden of his patients, who come to get help from him. He is a drag on this neurologist office. Dr Markind should not be in the Healthcare industry. Awful uncaring Dr. put me on a med that I experienced severe emotional side effects. Called the office in a panic. Someone other than a dr called me back and told me over the phone he’ll prescribe an antidepressant. No discussion with me at all. No call directly from the Dr. I was a mess. This proved to be a side affect from the pills. His office was unsympathetic which made it all worse. This doctor is rude as hell , the best treatment is a smile back

I'm a registered nurse, so I know a little bit about medical, however, I know alot about myself. This rude ignorant man wouldn't listen, actually told me to stop talking!! He's beyond dispicable and a fish has a better personality.

As a cancer patient, I see all types of Dr.’s on a regular basis & have never encountered any Dr. with such a condescending & pious demeanor. I brought my mother here to be checked after having been in the hospital. He immediately cut me off in conversation & did not wish to hear from me, more importantly, he failed to read her PCP records brought in from her visit the day prior which held crucial info. Today, he accused me of withholding information that I never had. Extremely rude & insulting.

Wish I could give him a zero. Incredibly disrespectful. No empathy at all. Or really much basic human decency. He was dismissive of my concerns. Refused to see things from my perspective. Clearly didn't care about me or what happened to me. Like the possibility that I have a tumor is just some daily inconvenience to him. His lack of awareness about the vulnerability that you feel as a patient is frankly concerning. If he was a fish I would've thrown him back.

He was fine. Spent a reasonable amount of time with me. Listened. Offered reasonable treatment plan and explain it. Bedside manner was just fair: he wasn't warm but wasn't a jerk either. His PA is great. Experience was fine overall.

If I could rate no stars I would. Horrible doctor who misdiagnosed me with CIDP and MS. He put me through several painful tests including a spinal tap and nerve study. I went to another doctor at Yale New Haven that told me he was wrong. I have MS and not CIDP. Awful bedside manner.

Terrible bedside manner and doesn't care about patient. Just gives you more drugs verses finding root of the problem. Threatened to hang up on me. Very unprofessional!!!
