Dr. Samuel Anang Borquaye

I saw Dr Samuel Borquaye yesterday. Of 20+ dentists I've seen - he's the best! I'm 60yo with MULTIPLE serious rare health issues. He singlehandedly restored my faith in dentistry after having FIVE scam artist dentists. He did his job carefully & efficiently. He explained about & did the deep cleaning procedure HIMSELF! I've been needing it since I was 37yo but delayed for various reasons. After a lifetime of NO dental cleanings - I'm lucky I'm missing only one tooth. He carefully gave me sufficient pain medication because of my rare nerve pain disease - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I also have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Disorder so he was careful using any chemicals around me. Thank God I'm not sensitive to dental meds! I AM HIGHLY allergic to gutta percha (made from rubber like my other latex allergy is.) It's packed in the cavity of a root canal. It caused my missing tooth. One of the last 5 bad dentists put gutta percha in my new root canal although I'd told him I'd lost a tooth to it previously. He said he'd never known ANYONE allergic to gutta percha. I've been suffering daily misery for 1 1/2 years because I can't find anyone to retreat it. Dr Borquaye said if I can't find an endodontist with an alternative to gutta percha to retreat my root canal then there's a permanent bridge alternative to dental implants after tooth removal. This due to fear I'll be allergic to titanium or zirconium implants since I'm allergic to most metal excepting silver & platinum. NONE of my previous 5 dentists said anything about permanent bridges - they pushed implants. He explained the correct way to brush teeth & that getting an electric toothbrush device could save my teeth into the future! Not one dentist of the previous 20+ ever explained such things! The other thing I love about Cullen Dental Associates is their awesome staff - friendly, knowledgeable & efficient! I highly recommend going if you've had bad past dental experiences or a current fear of dental work! Blessings & peace! P.S. to the one star reviewer who didn't like the staff's attitude in saying you could go somewhere else when you stated the prices were too high...what realistically did you want? A discount? They can't request a discount on THEIR rent because they're giving out patient discounts. This dentist was an engineer for years - then decided to become a dentist! Kudos to him because I could NEVER work on somebody's teeth for ANY amount! His equipment is also expensive top of the line. Just the truth as I see & believe it at 60yo.

I've been seeing Dr. Borquaye for about 17 years for all of my dental needs. He is professional and highly skilled and his staff is always friendly and polite. I whole-heartedly recommend him and his work.

Usually I do not write reviews but in this case Dr Borquaye’s office deserves one. There is no waiting time, doctor and staff are very sweet and caring when it came to my needs. Dr Borquaye and his assistants makes me feel comfortable and they are so professional.
