After waiting months for an appt, I met w/ Dr. Aziz to see "how things would work out," according to her. After a couple of meetings, I said that I did not feel as though we were "clicking;" I felt no rapport with her. (She had all the warmth of a scorpion, though I did not say that.) She also criticized the wisdom of every doctor I had seen prior to her (including Mayo Clinic, Georgetown Hosp. etc.). I asked if she would provide a prescription for enough medication until I could find another doctor, and she . . . refused. It is irresponsible to cease taking certain medications "cold turkey." I had to go to another city to get an appt with a similar professional, who was "appalled" at Dr. Aziz's action(s)[the consensus reaction of every medical professional that I have seen since]. It is sad that many doctors still have a god-complex. It is impossible to have an honest dialog with certain doctors because they do not feel as though they are talking to "equals." Dr. Aziz is a wonderful listener. She helps you bring your thoughts and ideas together. She is intuitive and interested in who you are.
