Dr. Sami K Baddoura

My mother has an artery blockage of at least 70% at LAD at D1- a blockage at this placement is known as “the widow maker” because it can cause a heart attack with no symptoms. The doctor told her of the blockage on 7/12, and said they would place a stent within a week (so, by 7/19). However, they didn’t even send the paperwork to her insurance until 7/14. She had to call multiple times to follow up. Finally, on 7/29, she was told the stent will be placed on 8/10, more than 3 weeks after the range she was given initially. She has been experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain, and low blood pressure all the while. I’m appalled at how long it took to schedule her necessary procedure, and that she still has not had it done. He also told her even after she was diagnosed with the blockage that her symptoms (chest pain and shortness of breath) were probably due to anxiety; her main anxiety has been trying to get properly diagnosed and treated. We will be finding a new cardiologist.

I came into the hospital presenting with AFib with RVR. HR 174-223. I laid in the hospital for 4 days maxed out on cardizem. Not one cardiologist would “touch me”. Scared that if they did a cardioversion, I’d “throw” a clot. Even though an echo showed no clots and my heart was otherwise perfectly healthy AND I was on blood thinners. Dr. Baddoura came in on the 4th day of me suffering through this AFib and not being able to breath and suggested a TEE and Cardioversion. The TEE confirmed there were no blood clots. He completed the cardioversion and BAM I was back to normal. now I’m fine. He explained my condition and exactly what he was going to do step by step. He made sure I was comfortable and aware of everything he was doing. Best cardiologist I’ve ever seen. He didn’t rush me out the door or make me feel like he didn’t have time for me as so many tend to do.

Dr Baddoura is very good at treating congestive heart failure, He was able to treat my husband successfully when when the hospital couldn't.
