My special needs daughter had an appointment with this so-called doctor. Incompetent!!! Behavior completely unacceptable. Resulted in an internal review by the hospital and county prosecutor inquiry. Prosecutor could not file charges, they did give me the name of a civil attorney that was ruthless. Everyone who is honest hates this woman. Positive feedback is probably fake. She is a stain on children’s hospital.

She was by far, the most educated and knowledgeable ENT we have seen. She performed two sinus surgeries on our daughter and we will be forever grateful for her help in healing out daughter. Super nice and kind as well so that’s a bonus

1 star is one 1 too many. I find it ironic that the ENT MD did such little listening to us (the parents). She was curt, dismissive, and unempathetic. My child will never see her again

We travelled across the country to have my daughter examined by Dr Shott despite not having complete coverage by insurance because of the distance. I dearly wish she was closer, even if she was within 8 hours drive it would be wonderful. I completely trust her judgement. I can see how some people might think she is sometimes a bit abrupt but who cares? Other physicians told me she is one of the best pediatric ENTs in the US and the best for children with DS.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical professional. She dismissed everything I said and didn’t even bother to read my daughter’s chart or test results. She told me to give my three year old daughter a placebo medication because there was nothing wrong with her. We had to point out to her what her test results stated, she left to check them before coming back and agreeing to remove her tonsils. I’ll definitely be looking for another ENT to perform my daughter’s surgery.

I had nothing but a horrible experience with her ! Everytime she told me to have a surgery something would happen. Nothing worked like it should have ! We would go down wait for over 1 to 2 hours and then be in the office with her for only 15 minutes. She was very argumentive ! She would ask a question and then interupt us everytime we answered it !

Horrible experience. Demonstrated poor diagnosis skills and the worst bed-side manner I have every seen. Stay away.

I took my two month old daughter to be seen by Dr. Shott because she is lip tied. She acted as if she had never seen a mother breastfeed her baby and very rudely asked me to unlatch my daughter. My daughter started screaming and Dr. Shott was rough with her and over all I was very unsatified with the care my daughter received. Dr. Shott is very rude and not friendly at all. I don't know why she works with children. I will never be back there. Looks like I will be finding a new doctor.

An ENT with a special interest in treating children with Down syndrome? Yes, please. When you're one of the most knowledgeable physicians in a given area (or country) on a particular subject, your time is understandably limited. Yet, families who know the value of her expertise drive many hours because we trust that our children are in qualified hands and believe she won't gloss over an issue that might seem insignificant in typical kids. And, when concerns warranted it, she worked us in.
