Dr. Ryan J Mortensen

I've been seeing Dr. Mortensen for over 20 years. He checks my vision yearly to assure no issues occur. I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. Also Gavin is top-notch in working with you're insurance to make you get everything you deserve.

The one star is being generous

We have been comming here for years for our eye exams and glasses. I highly recommend giving them a try if your looking for a doctor or place to order frames and lenses. They are welcome and always treat us with kindness and are professional. You wont be disappointed!

Dr. Mortensen and staff are great!They have new technology that will take a photo of my eyes, blood vessels, retina,letc., It's awesome!

Dr. Mortensen saw my granddaughter in December. He was thorough, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease. I would highly recommend him.

Took my kids here a few years back and had a great experience, recently returned for myself and was very pleased with the visit. You get a little discount if you pay cash.

I go to District Vision every year and it's always a good experience. I can always get an appointment around the time that works for me. The staff is very friendly and Doctor Mortensen is easy to talk to. I'm always pleased with his service. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Had a fantastic visit last week with Dr. Mortensen. He was very friendly and was able to diagnose accurately an eye issue that my daughter was having. If you are looking for an eye doctor in the South Jordan area, I would highly recommend Dr. Mortensen.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. This provider does not make eye contact with you and is uncomfortably quiet. Not friendly at all. I initially met this provider at his Sandy location and was originally having issues with blurred vision. I have never worn glasses so; this was my first experience with an OD. At the initial visit the provider brought up things like; possible glaucoma and said I needed testing done. I immediately made my appointment because the sound of this frightened me. After the testing was done I got a simple "everything is great, see you in a year" I thought this was odd but, after looking through my insurance claims realized this provider must have seen this certain testing is covered by my insurance so they felt it was "Necessary" My most recent visit was to the District location, I was in for my yearly exam and asked about contacts, cost etc. and the office was very misleading with how they presented the information. I was told that the contacts would be $60 and this would be purchasing contacts for a full year. After doing the two week trial, I decided that contacts were not for me and putting them in my eye daily just was not working out. I called back to see if I could be refunded my $60 since I would not be picking up the contacts and I was told the $60 was a Co-pay and is non-refundable... not only is it non-refundable but, it only covers ONE pair of contacts. This was a huge surprise and extremely upsetting. Had I been told this information upfront I would have never moved forward with the contact trial. This office is extremely misleading and after the "Necessary" glaucoma testing and now the "year supply of contacts"-Both misleading and incorrect information to make money. Fast, friendly, thorough

My wife and I needed an eye exam. (She has worn glasses and contacts since she was young and I never needed glasses and have not been to an eye doctor for many years) The staff at this facility is exceptional!!! The doctor was thorough and explained the test and associated outcome and we can not say enough good things about Gavin and Bethany at the font office. They were patient, friendly and knowledgeable... They answered all our questions (and there were LOTS of them) 5 Star rating from my wife and I.
