I had a knee replacement and was very nervous about it. He inspired complete confidence that everything would go well. He explained all procedures well and was always willing to answer questions I had so that I understood them. I think he really cares about his patients and I felt that. I felt more comfortable with him than other doctors I have had. A very special doctor.

In November of 2008 Dr. Meis repaired my right rotator cuff which included six months of physical therapy three times a week at the CNOS clinic. My torn rotator cuff was the result of a work related accident. After my six months of P.T. I was rated at 95% recovered. Dr. Meis told me at the end of my P.T. my rotator cuff tear was in the top five percent of the worst he had ever had to repair. I have been an advocate of Dr. Meis every since my successful rotator cuff surgery in 2008. I have recommended Dr. Meis to many people over the last eleven years and will continue to do so for a lifetime. In August of 2015 my wife needed a full right knee replacement and six weeks of P.T. at the CNOS clinic; of course I highly recommended Dr. Meis because of my 2008 positive experience and my wife has a new fully functional right knee. In March of 2019 my wife had to have a full left knee joint replacement by Dr. Meis 100% successful. We both highly recommend Dr. Meis for any future surgery

Dr. Meis was quick to discover my shoulder injury and followed up with an MRI to confirm it. Surgery was scheduled very quickly. The injury was widespread and Dr. Meis did an excellent job repairing it. Dr. Meis's office followed up with a call the day after my surgery to see how I felt. Very little pain after surgery and rehab has been going very well. Dr. Meis is a very personable individual.

I had a severely torn rotator cuff and Dr Meis restored my use of the arm. Had to implant donor material and secure with 9 anchors. After 7 months, I had him repair the other shoulder as well. Now I am able to enjoy motorcycling again!

Dr Meis did a knee replacement on my right leg in June of 2019. He did a fantastic job, I was completely satisfied. I got out of hospital in short time and did great at home. My son recommended Dr. Meis to me and I certainly would recomment him to anyone who is in need of surgery. Would have him again if necessary.

Dr Ryan Meis replaced both my knee joints when I was in my late 40's which turned out fantastic. He just recently replaced my right shoulder joint. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and to have full use of my arm again. My pain with all the surgeries was very little. He is an amazing surgeon. I can't say enough about his great service.

In my opinion/experience, Dr. Meis is the best orthopaedic surgeon in the area!

I dont think I would have had bilateral knee replacement if Dr. Meis wasnt my doctor. He answered all my questions and I was totally at ease going into the surgery. His bedside manner is top notch, he is patient and super skilled. I would definately recommend Dr. Ryan Meis to anyone who is considering orthopaedic surgery of any kind.

explanation of services on the repair of my meniscus was excellent, after math issues was spot on. recovery went well

Dr. Meis is an excellent and caring surgeon. He provided options for care preop and postop. Dr. Meis provided a detailed explanation of the procedure that would be performed, including the length of the procedure and recovery. He sent a detailed letter regarding the surgery and what to expect postop. This communication was above what most providers do for their patients.

Dr. Meis did reconstructive surgery on my right shoulder. His bedside manner was very nice where I felt he really cared about me, the surgery, and my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Meis to everyone.

I would find it hard to believe there is a finer Orthopedic Surgeon in Siouxland. And, I am speculating that he may be one of the finest Ortho's in the nation. The not-so-good news is that 4 members of my family have had 4 total procedures performed by Dr. Meis. The great news is that we have had 4 excellent outcomes and that speaks volumes. He has outstanding bedside manners and he is personable, detailed, organized, efficient, fit & professional - other than that he is a pretty average :-)

Ryan did a great job of explaining what was going on, how he was going to repair it, and made sure the rehabilitation process was working for me.

he replaced both of my knees and my husbands one knee, we have never been more satisfied with such a good and caring doctor. My son in law had is shoulder repaired and he did an amazing job. You will never find a more caring person than doctor Meis.

Awesome doctor! Did surgery on my sons ACL. We could not have been more pleased with everything he did

I had total right knee replaced in April, 2010 and so far so good. I could not ask for anything better before, during surgery and follow up treatment than I received from Dr. Meis and his very capable assistant Nikki. They are very user friendly and make a person feel comfortable and at ease.
