Dr Karlstad is such a calming presence ….and clearly an excellent surgeon… he made this unfortunate experience more than tolerable for me…. anyone needing surgery is blessed to have him as their caring physician. Ryan Karlstad was very professional and really answered all my questions, explain very well what he was doing during my procedure and everything went very good with no pain. My procedure was fixing trigger finger. I highly recommend him ☺️

Dr K explained my situation thoroughly, answered my questions and recommended a course of treatment. I saw him for a 2nd opinion. I am so relieved I don't need more surgery!

Dr. Karlstad has done five trigger finger release surgery. Thanks to Doctor Karlstad all the surgeries he performed have been very successful. He is also a great person. I highly recommend Dr. Karlstad.

Dr. Karlstad is so professional, humble, and honest. He listens to every word and cares about details so he can correctly diagnose and treat his patients. I have tried many shoulder doctors so I can tell the difference.

Dr. Karlstad is very accomodating. He is thorough and the surgery went so well. I have had almost no pain post surgery and the healing is going well. Dr. K took time to explain the procedure and options. I would recommend him to anyone needing this type of surgery.

Excellent! This is the third trigger finger he has done for more. The first two were 100% succuessful. I'm confident this one will be as well.

He is a terrific doctor and fellow. I have had three procedures from him and all have been very successful He is the consument professional my first surgery was to correct another doctor’s botched surgery. Dr Karlstad believed that something was wrong and I felt comfortable sharing my concerns with him. Once he reviewed my wrist he immediately arranged to correct the mistakes. I now have a completely functional wrist with no pain. You cannot go wrong with with Dr K. He is honest, ethical and a brilliant surgeon

I had a trigger finger release surgery on my right hand ring finger.

He did a cortazone shot in my shoulder and my right thump and right middle finger. I have not paine in those area. He has given me cortazone shots in several areas before and I have had the same results. I give him a ten. I called in the morning and got in to see him at 2:30 in the afternoon. Back home in one hour.

Dr. Karlstad does a very good job of explaining what he is doing and why. He also explained if there will be a further problem with my hand and what the next procedures would be. He has a very good manner with a patient. I would recommend him to anyone who has a hand problem.

Dr. Karlstad is an excellent hand surgeon. I have seen him many times and trust him completely.

If you want an experience doctor and customer friendly doctor. I would choose Dr Karlstad. I was feeling better asap. Thank you!

Dr. Karlstad is a wonderful Dr. VERY knowledgable especially when it is about your hand or wrist. My wait in the waiting area was long 20+ minutes but after that it was smooth and fairly quick. I saw Dr. Karlstad at TC Ortho in Stillwater.

Doctor Ryan Karlstad and his thorough caring staff made my Dupuytren's contracture procedure go very smoothly. They (staff) had contacted me with instructions and questionnaires to insure the procedures success. I think Dr. Karlstad is a very good Doctor. He listens to you. That means a lot. He also explains the "how and why" you could be having pain or other problems and what are your options to take care of it, etc. He does not "push" you. You decide, after he explains everything to you. I appreciate that. I really liked him and will use him when I need to.

I had a great experience with Dr Karlstad! I've been to see him 3 times for the same condition and he said the next time he had to see me was for surgery. That's the only thing that will cure it for good. I'm glad he told me that. Saves me from cortisone shots early

Only after my first consultation with Dr Karlstad I felt very comfortable. I had seen a specialist from a different clinic and wanted a second opinion. Dr Karlstad had given me a total opposite diagnosis from the previous specialist. It was the correct decision to have a total shoulder replacement. This I had concurred with my family Dr. and mri Dr. Dr Karlstad was very patient with my questions and I am to see him again before the surgery date. I am very confident that Dr Karlstad with be successful in repairing my shoulder.

Caught a fracture that was missed in urgent care. Did a good exam and listened. Quiet but kind. Would recommend.

Most doctors that specialize in a specific field give a person the impression that they are mainly in it for the money, bur Dr. Karlstad is different he is caring and sympathetic and genuinely cares about what is going on with you.

All the staff were professional,informative and friendly!

I saw Dr Karlstad after two failed wrist surgeries with another MD. I got the impression that he had already made his decision before the exam. He diagnosed me incorrectly. I know this because I was evaluated by the MD who trained Dr Karlstad years ago. However, University of California was worth every penny to see Dr Neil Jones. I truly wish I had see Dr Jones prior to my surgeries. My injuries maybe would not be permanent and I would not still be wearing a brace four years later 24/7.

I saw Doctor Karlstad in January 2018 for emergency tendon repair. He performed surgery and I have had several follow up appointments as my healing progresses with him. He has been very professional, courteous, and always answered my questions thoroughly. His vast knowledge and extensive education puts you at ease knowing he is someone I can fully trust with my recovery. I would certainly recommend him for orthopedic hand issues- he is great!

My appointment to see Dr. Karlstad was for a second opinion about carpal tunnel syndrome and an ulnar nerve issue. I arrived 15 mins early as they suggested, but never saw him until 1 hour and 20 mins later. No one explained why the wait was so long or apologized for my time lost. While speaking with the doctor about my conditions, I felt as if there was already a diagnosis and a plan before he asked me questions or examined me. I was very disappointed since all the reviews are so great.
