Dr. Ruth Aida Kosak

I have been to see Dr. Kosak several times now and each time I have been very impressed by her. She has her own practice and is not associated with a corporation so this allows her to spend the amount of time necessary with each patient depending upon their needs. She also listens to you and answers all of your questions without judgment. It's not easy to find doctors like her who care about you like this. I also like that she's very transparent. When she gives me an injection, she actually shows me the vial and tells me what she is giving me and how much. Every member of her office staff that I have met has been very nice, supportive, and accommodating. I heartily recommend Dr. Kosak for all of your foot and ankles issues!

Excellent care!! Dr Kosak performed a procedure on my ingrown toenail with minimal discomfort. I had been very nervous beforehand. She also gives wonderful advice on foot & toenail care. I have been recommending her to all my friends.

The entire staff was accommodating and helpful. Dr. Kosak was thorough and was as interested in hearing from me (the patient) as much as speaking to me, doctor to patient. I benefitted from her comprehensive exam, confirmation of previous diagnosis along with a workable treatment plan. All of the previous information was derived from my first visit. If I could give Dr Kosiak a minus 5 I would. I went to her to see if I was a candidate for bunion surgery. She started talking about putting pins in and some very major work. I told her I thought she could shave it off. I had know people that had this procedure. She then said she could do it that way as well. I had the surgery overt a year ago and I still have the bunion. I have been back to her 3 times for pain. Each time she said she could inject cordisone in the bunion. Very painful. The last time I told her she did not do bunion surgery but it looked like she only moved my big toe over closer to the next toe. She did not get mad at me but ignored the accusation. I made an appointment, and accidentally had it in my calendar a day later than the actual appointment. That was completely my fault. I rescheduled, apologized and offered to pay any missed appointment fee, since I missed the appointment and the doctor was not at fault. The next day (today) I got a call from Patrick, who I had not previously spoken to. He left a voicemail saying that I didn't show up to my appointment "for some reason" and was wondering why I am on the schedule for another date. When I called back to see what was up, he again said he doesn't understand why I would no show "which is TOTALLY fine"- his words, and then bother to schedule again. "I have to confirm that you plan to actually show up." To which I canceled my appointment. If you plan to go to this office, make certain you don't make any human error in scheduling. The doctor may be fantastic, but being treated as a second-class citizen by the front office staff simply doesn't fly. Dr. Kosak is a fantastic and caring doctor. I have seen 4 other pediatrists over the past 2 years and she is the only one to alleviate my pain. I feel like a new person. The office is clean and welcoming and the staff is professional and welcoming.

For years I saw various podiatrists who never really pinpointed the issue, did many types of treatments but in the end I continued to have pain. I was in Dr. Kosak office and within five minutes had a diagnosis and received treatment the same day and for the first time in many, many years I understand what’s going on and am pain free. The whole office is helpful and friendly and you are treated with care. Do not hesitate to make an appointment. Dr. Kosak will work with you to find out what the problems are and find the right treatments. Stay far away. Ruth Kosak is extremely rude. Scheduling can only occur with one individual (Barbra) at SimonMed for an MRI. This sounds odd that the appointments are restricted to just one person at a third party like SimonMed, unless they worked out a referral deal. Well I took one extra day to decide if I wanted a MRI and when I went to schedule it, Barbra let me now it would be a minimum week out, due to pre auth needs. With that timeline, if I had scheduled the first day, it would have put me at Wednesday, October 6th as a week out. I called back and was scheduled back at Kosak because I had sever pain that intensified in the foot in the three days after the MRI order. Showed up at 2:05 pm during my time, Ruth Kosak called me back, told me to stand next to the chair because I was early and she had a consult (there was a new employee she wanted to meet) and proceeded to tell me that we’d be better off if I had just gotten the MRI, which I was still scheduled for and would have been impossible to have already. I let the nurse know that Ruth being rude was something we were going to discuss when she returned, because it’s not acceptable to chastise someone who couldn’t have produced what was even asked - aka MRI could not be ready in time. I confronted her about it, she continued to act as if she was right. She even had the audacity to claim that when she ordered a MRI for herself, it goes right through. So very glad to know she has the SimonMed pass in today’s crazy medical insurance world. At that point I told her I was leaving and was not going to put up with her attitude. She laughed and walked out of the room. Don’t waste your time or money (especially if you are in pain) with this individual. For people who are clean freaks, the floors are filthy. Dr. Kosak has given me the best service and help I have ever received in the medical industry, EVER! I came to see Dr.Kosak for a second opinion after seeing other podiatrists and failing to find the answer to my chronic foot pain that’s kept me from activities I’ve loved for over a year now. My very first visit she spent two hours fully examining my feet, gave me a lesson on how the anatomy of my feet work based on where I feel pain, she fully went through all of my previous MRIs with me and what they meant, took X-rays and ultrasounds explaining what comes up on the screen, and spent time just getting to know me. In this visit she gave me a steroid shot. The day after my appointment Dr.Kosak called me herself to check in on my pain and to ensure I was comfortable. Just that phone call made my whole day knowing that she too cares about me walking pain free again in the future. The entire team at this office from the front desk to the assistants that support Dr. Kosak have been so nice and have made me feel extremely comfortable through appointments that are painful or uncomfortable because of my chronic pain. I would like to share my experience with Dr Kosak! I am 70 years, I have suffered with a large bunion for the last 30 years. I was told by everyone Do Not Have Surgery, it’s worse than the bunion pain. Moving here to Arizona I found Dr Kosak. , Because of her I decided it was time to have surgery before I got any older and would not be able to walk! My Surgery was amazing! After only one month I am in gym shoes, in a few more weeks my sandals! I highly recommend Dr Kosak because of her knowledge and expertise and she has a different way of doing surgery. Dr. Kosak is one great Podiatrist Doctor. I am 77 years old and have gone to many Podiatrists in my lifetime in different states where I lived. Dr. Kosak is caring, honest, helpful, efficient, and much more. She explains in lay terms the problem you are experiencing and then gives you an explanation of what solutions you have. She is down to earth, always available to speak with you, either on the phone or in person, and one of the best doctors I've ever gone too. She knows her "stuff" and if she doesn't she will direct you to someone that can answer that particular question. She is always fair and direct with anything she does and has a very pleasant personality. Her staff is well trained to help you too. They are very respectful of your health and opinions and greet you as you come in and remember your last visit and your name without looking at the date book. After suffering for two years from excruciating pain in my Achilles’ tendon, my son took me to Dr. Kosak’s. She put a few injections around the area in both ankles. Virtually painless injections due to her dexterity and soft manners. Ever since that day, I haven’t had to wrap my feet and ankles with K tape. As long as I have a little elevation on my heels, I can walk all day without pain. It has been 2 months already and no K tape, which is very uncomfortable and expensive. Dr. Kosak is very personable. She and her staff make you feel like family. I’m very grateful to them.

I brought my 11-year-old daughter here to see Dr. Kosak. She was so very knowledgeable, caring, and had EXCELLENT bedside manner. It has been ages since I have been to a doctors’ office that treats it’s patience with such respect and kindness. I highly recommend this office for foot issues.

Dr. Kosak shot straight and successfully repaired my severed tendon. First visit she was able to get me in same day, which 5 other local offices could not do. She was extremely helpful, I am so grateful for her. Highly recommended.

I was in pain when I left TN, and hoped the pain would subside on its own because I had been to Podiatrists before that gave me shots in my foot that hurt so badly I almost passed out. But by the time I got to AZ I was limping heavily on my foot I knew I had to see a doctor. I googled Foot Physicians and 'AZ Foot & Ankle' popped up. I called and they got me in the very NEXT DAY. When I arrived I had NO wait time to be seen. Dr. Kosak confirmed a re-occurance of inflammation and the need for an injection. I could not believe that I BARELY felt the first needle, and the second one I did NOT feel at all. She was extremely patient with me and explained the condition, which neither of my previous Foot Doctors had taken the time to do, and she carefully told me how to care for my condition to prevent re-occurance. I was referred to Dr. Kosak after suffering with intractable plantar fasciatis for months. I expected it to go away on its own, but after the pain became intolerable and started to affect my daily activites, I decided I had had enough and needed to seek help. I was apprehensive about seeing a specialist because I take my health very seriously and usually stay away from pills and procedures if possible. Upon meeting Dr. Kosak, I immediately knew that I was in the right place. She respected my decision to try to manage the issue without steroid injections or pain medication. Dr. Kosak was able to show me a number of stretches and exercises that allowed me to strengthen lower leg and feet muscles and improve the condition. Further, with her help, we were able to select orthotics that were right for correcting my walking mechanics. I am so grateful to Dr. Kosak and her team for what I've learned since working with them. I began treatment under Dr. Kosak's care approximately 2 months ago. I received treatment on both feet. During the miminially invasive procedure Dr Kosak made every effort to keep any pain or discomfort I might experience at an absolute miminum. She resolved my foot problems and provided education that will allow me to live with healthy feet, quite possibly for the rest of my live, assuming of course I do my part in maintaining healthy feet.
