Explains things thoroughly, takes his time, good bedside manner, calm, seems to be doing a thorough assessment of my child’s condition. I can tell he reads my child’s chart and history from other departments and providers before appointments (not all doctors do). Attempts to coordinate tests and appointments with other departments so my child can have fewer or at least condensed appointments. So far (2 appointments + e-mails and tests), excellent doctor, definitely better than average (and we’ve seen many).

Great physician!!!! Set our minds at ease when our precious son, Brian was diagnosed with Hbg SS. Answered all our questions. Happy to have him as our hematologist.

Pompous and made a lot of comments about how my old doctor had made the wrong diagnosis. In fact, he messed up my diagnosis and treatment. He also talked down to me and my mom regularly. I would not recommend him to anyone just because he claims he is an expert in sickle cell disease. I have a variation of sickle cell disease which he missed but which my new doctors caught right away. I think if he stopped bragging on himself long enough to listen to his patients he might get it right. My mom is a nurse but be treated her like a child.
