I love Dr.Deluca he is the best he really cares and remembers everything you say to him about the issues you have
I’ve been a patient of Dr. DeLuca for two and a half years. He’s an amazing doctor. I’ve always found him to be compassionate and knowledgeable. Communication with him is easy and informative. I firmly believe that his care and treatment has enabled me to carry on. I consider him to be not only my favorite doctor but also a friend. In fact, whenever I visit his office, I always feel like I’m among friends. He has an amazing staff.
One of the best doctors and he really cares.
I am always waited on in a timely fashion. The people that you deal with from beginning to end are all very professional and helpful. Then there’s Dr. DeLuca who just makes it smooth sailing.
I have known him for over 20 years, he is amazing. When the other doctors couldn’t find out what was wrong he knew right away. He has taken such good care of my husband and me.
Very patient friendly and explains medical issues in a way that's understandable. He takes the time to answer all questions and addresses your concerns.
Excellent doctor and facility. Definitely recommend.
Dr. Deluca is a great Dr and very caring. He always has time to explain things and answer all questions, even the hard ones. I would want no other Dr. His staff is very caring also
All questions and plans, treatments are explained to patient. He has been my Oncologist for the past 20 years. Now he is treating me for a newly found and removed cancer of the breast..I feel very confident with his treatment and care.
Very thorough. Good explanations. Appointments on time. Follow ups timely. Lab work can be done in his office so saves time and another appointment. Highly recommend,
The ladies and men that work there always are sweet, kind helpful so nice to see smiling faces. ???? But not since Covid-19.
Dr. De Luca was straight and to the point with a great bedside manner that comes with being a true professional. I trust his opinions.

I've been a patient of Dr. DeLuca for 4 years. He's always pleasant and typically runs on time. If he is running a little late he's always apologetic which is nice that he respects my time as much as I respect his. The office is always clean and ran efficiently. I never have an issue scheduling appointments for blood work or doctor visits.
I went in directly after a panic attack, my vitals were of the charts. He came in and started talking and just being sweet as he can be. His demeanor made me calm down a lot quicker then normal and he actually made me laugh a few times. He knows both my regular doctor and gyn and has worked with them both. It took awhile to find both of them since I am so picky but with him knowing my doctors I felt like I was in good hands. I would 100% recommend him to friends and family. Dr.Deluca was very nice to me. He also told me about my hemolytic anemia, and I appreciate that.

I am a breast cancer patient. Dr. DELUCA really shows an interest in his patients and cares about their individual needs. He listens to concerns you have, works with you to make a treatment plan for your needs, readily available to answer your questions and calm your fears. He is a very knowledgeable doctor and always easy to talk to.

He knows what he is doing. I trust him completely with my care.
Dr DeLuca is easy to talk to and takes the time to listen to my questions and he responds. He is concerned about my condition and I trust him fully for my care. On occasion I have called his office about my medical condition and he always gets back to me giving me guidance. His staff both in the office and in the lab are caring and you feel their support. Im glad to have Dr Deluca as my hemotologist.
My husband passed a week ago, we have heard nothing from this doctor. He was under this doctors care and then went to hospice. Hospice called several times. Even the crematorium offered their condolences. Upsets me that they couldn't even pick up the phone.

Dr De Luca is kind and caring. He takes the time to really listen to me and to explain things. He’s the best!
Very knowledgeable
Dr. Deluca is a great doctor and he knows his business.
I can't stand Dr. De Luca's bedside manner. He is condescending and mean and acts like a mad clown.

My wife’s oncologist of over 5 years recently left Chesapeake Oncology and Hematology Associates. We were transferred to Russell Deluca. We were told by multiple staff that he was very different then our current Oncologist. In hindsight these were warnings. In the brief appointments we had with him, punctuality was clearly not his strength as we waited over half an hour each time and could clearly hear his voice through the walls spending more time with current patients. His visits were more like a poor attempt at a comic routine, reminding me of the annoying Mohel character from Seinfeld. Needless to say his bedside manner was completely lacking. What stood out is that he never introduced himself nor asked our names or relationship to each other. This was disappointing as our last Oncologist was very personable. Over the weeks, we were unaware of how dire my wife’s condition had become. It could be incompetence or cowardice, Deluca never told my wife the gravity of the situation and that she did not have much longer to live. I knew this metastatic cancer would take her life; I just assumed we would be treated with a little dignity by being honest with us and not push false hope with more costly and painfully fruitless chemotherapy. She declined rapidly in the span of the next 2 weeks from walking on her own to using a cane, to using a walker, to needing a wheel chair, to being bedridden. Prior to her last week at home, we received calls from the office if her blood work had issues and if we needed to come in for IV treatment. We did not that week; I called and left a message with the phone service as she was becoming more lethargic. I initially believed that this was a chemo side effect. Eventfully as she continued to deteriorate and it was clear no one was calling me back, I called an ambulance. The ER doctor explained how terminal her condition was and that she did not have long. Deluca eventually shows up to the ICU. In the waiting room filled with my family and friends, he says “I inherited a bad case”- referring to my dying wife. Then tells me he was going to update me last week but did not have my cell phone number. At the time I was completely numb from the earlier news of my soulmate soon to be departing, but clearly I should have addressed his inappropriateness and let him know the office had multiple contact numbers he could have called, like the one on the unanswered message. It is definitely not a coincidence that out of to date 17 Claims totaling $55,372.21 for the last 3 days of my wife’s life at the hospital, Deluca’s $880 was the first submitted. For what - I’m not sure- walking from Tate Center to the Hospital, disrespectful comments, or making me aware how incompetent he and his staff is for not updating a patient’s grave condition or returning phone calls? I don’t blame him for my wife’s death; I blame him for making her death more difficult than it needed to be on so many levels.
