Dr. Kalra and ALL of the PA’s at Pain Medicine Consultants are some of the best health care professionals I’ve ever worked with as both a patient and a caregiver. Dr. Kalra truly cares about his patients. He provides answers that have decreased my pain by 80%. While my case is complex, my husbands is more so. He lives with Muscular Dystrophy and Dr. Kalra and all the PA’s have been with us by our side. They work in coordination with outside agencies such as Stanford Neuromuscular and out of network doctors. They are our safe space when we need it. The nurses and MA’s are just as special. I’ve seen some patients who are in need of help and just arriving to PMC for the first time get upset because they were too late or missed their first appointment and can’t be seen that day. These people need to be patient, show up when they are expected and TRUST that the office will care for their needs. EVERY office has a procedure to begin treatment and the key is to get through the doors of any pain management or specialist. Trust me when I say, you will NEVER find a pain management team more advanced and experienced as this one. Thank you for all your care PMC!

I have been a patient of Dr. Kalra’s for about 15 years. I also see Beth, a PA for routine visits. I really appreciate the care, professionalism, courtesy, and the extra care the entire staff extends regularly and more importantly, when a special need arises and I can always count on PMC to meet my needs. I have, and will continue to refer family and friends to PMC, knowing they will be in the best of care. I have been a patient of Dr. Kalra’s for about 15 years. My 3 visits with Dr. Kalra focused on pre treatment, treatment and after treatment evaluation. I found the concern with my condition was very positive. The staff treated me with concern for my deafness, My hearing was not improved due to all having to wear masks. Everyone made sure I heard and understood the instruction. Thank you all. I have known Dr. Kalra for about 10 years and in that time he has done everything to help me manage my chronic pain. I would not go to anybody else. He is more than highly recommended. He is also a great human being on top of an excellent physician. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with him.

The Pain Management Specialist’s musical offices are clearly a cut above. From the care when patients are greeted at the check-in desk, the properly clean environment throughout the facility, and the amazing highly skilled Doctors, Management, and staff. Most important of all, when the patient (myself) has questions or are struggling with the paperwork...they are right there to help in time of need with kindness. Dr Kalra is my Specialist and I can be more thankful. Lory Duncan The Pain Management Specialist’s musical offices are clearly a cut above. Dr. Kalra is a great doctor. However his staff is uncaring, unorganized, uncommunicative and in disarray.

Very caring doctor, day after first visit he injected my back to give me relief the next day! I was able to walk correctly without pain after injection. I was referred to him by Dr. Michael Moskowitz, world renowned in same field retiring this year which I have been with for 20yrs, so he I knew Dr. Kalra had to be great, I was not disappointed!!

Dr Kalra performed Rfa on my lumbar spine. I used to be able to power walk 4 miles a day including hills I just had trouble bending forward n coming up without pain. after his Rfa 3 yrs ago I can barly walk 1/4 mile on a good day. He never explained what could have gone wrong. He just pushed me off to his Pa that knew nothing about side effects or what could have happened! Dr. kalra how do you live with yourself! I am bedridden most days due to your procedure that went so wrong.

This pain consultant doctors should revise their practice to: " TRAMADOL PAIN CONSULTANTS", because that is all they prescribe. If you require stronger pain medication (i.e. Vicoprofen, Vicodin), seek real pain management elsewhere. Don't waste your time with these so called pain doctors, as I had wasted over a year (April 2018 to July 2019), where they profiled me, made me feel like a criminal drug seeker, and refused to prescribed me the pain medicine that work 4 previous times (2009, 2012, 2014, 2015) Long story shorter, after these doctors prescribed me a controlled substance schedule IV (Tramadol, 50 mg) for longer than 6 months without changing my prescription (ref: DEA), they continued prescribing me Tramadol 50 mg any way, being fully aware the Tramadol was no longer working and I had naturally built up a tolerance which naturally prolonged my disability, which coincidently Dr. Longton/Kalra practice financially benefitted from me visiting them over and over again. So, we ended our relationship (July 19, 2019), and I saw another pain doctor that prescribed me the proper pain medicine (Vicodin 10 mg) on Aug 5, 2019, which less than 3 weeks later, I have been healing at an alarming rate, where my pain is a totally being managed and my adrenaline levels have been reduced drastically where i am finally healing after 18 months of physical pain. Do yourself a favor, seek treatment elsewhere. This pain consultant doctors should revise their practice to: " TRAMADOL PAIN CONSULTANTS", because that is all they prescribe. I learned from another doctor that Kalra gossiped with him about MY undergarments. I AM AN INJURED PERSON WHO NEEDED TREATMENT & YOU TREATED ME LIKE A JOKE. Shameful. Disgusting. Scummy.

Staff, especially assistant Elizabeth. are very unprofessional. Dr, Kalra performed two completely unnecessary procedures. and over-prescribed pain meds that were the root of the problems that he did the procedures were for. totally out of touch and hurries you into treatment that you don't need. #1 goal is to sell you on treatment, whether you need it or not. STAY AWAY FROM THIS QUACK!!!

Things were fine for several years. It became obvious that I really didn’t need to see a doctor every time, so I was seeing a PA each time - a different one each time. That would have been okay, except that each one prescribed something different. The final straw was when I got a bill for $50 for a doctor I had never heard of, let alone seen for the all years I went to see a “lead” doctor. I was told I hadn’t shown up for an appointment and that I had no insurance. Well, I DO have insurance, and I do NOT just ignore appointments. I am so careful about appointments that I call on the way ( I don’t drive; I have a caregiver) if I am going to be even a couple of minutes late. I told the billing people this and that I flat out wasn’t going to pay for something that I should not have been billed for in the first place. They decided to remove the charge, but that I shouldn’t not show up again (again??). That won’t be a problem, because I am never going back to that pain consultant office again! Boy the way, two stars are for the fact that it started well. Things were fine for several years. Excellent doctor. Warm, caring, smart, approachable and funny. Not sure about some of the reviews here as he was nothing but warm and attentive- a far cry from my previous pain management doctors. He gave me specific exercises to do which have helped my low back & recommended a meditation program which has helped my anxiety. Great, personable doctor

I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Kalra for over three weeks and was jerked around by the staff multiple times. I had a referral from a neurologist and an okay from the insurance provider, but was not allowed to so much as speak to the "great" doctor but was told he refused to see me. So much for his great caring and compassion for pain patients. Never had a doctor not even meet the patient before deciding not to help. He gets a "zero" in my book.

The worst doctor experience I have ever had. I wish I could provide more detail, but I'm afraid of retaliation, as that's how low I think he is. Beware.

Horrible experience today w/ Dr. Kalra. I was there... No compassion...my daughter is trying to get to the bottom of her chronic pain & the headaches that are associated w/ the pain as she desperately wants to get off the pain meds. He made her feel shameful for the amount of pain meds that she takes and went on all possible treatments that were not even related to her symptoms. At one point he was trying to list the positives in her life and pointed out that at least she wasn't dead!!

Horrible experience. Tremendously arrogant. He claims to know a lot more than he actually does. And he is not at all interested in really managing your pain or even understanding what or where your pain actually is. All he wants to do is push invasive, risky procedures --because that's what brings in the most money.

I was referred to Dr. Kalra from my GP over 6 years ago. I have multiple injuries and chronic pain in several different areas of my body. His extensive knowledge of anatomy and his experience as a pain specialist have given me a tremendous amount of relief. Several issues are not curable but manageable and without his care I wouldn't be able to live as fully as I do. I am very thankful to have him as a provider.

I have been a of Dr. Kalra's the last year and half. I ended up here after many botched knee surgeries. My wife has been seeing him for 4 years and after seeing the miracles he has performed for her, I was more than willing to give him a shot to help me. He has helped me through the last 2 surgeries and has helped significantly reduce my pain and increase the quality of my life. While my goal is to stop being a patient here, due to him fixing me, I will miss his professionalism and good natu

I have been a patient of Dr. Kalra's for over 4 years. I have been seeing him for low back problems that have become very debilitating for me. I was previously with another medical organization prior to being treated by Dr. Kalra and during a 5 year period they did nothing to help me, whereas Dr, Kalra was already lining up procedures that drastically improved my quality of life within a few months of my initial visit with him. Dr. Kalra is a very professional, patient, and a good listening doctor. He takes your concerns and addresses them every time. He makes recommendations for treatments that will help in the management of your pain. If for any reason it doesn't help he encourages you to try different procedures to find one that does. I like having options to address my personal medical problems. I would definitely recommend his practice to anyone seeking help with pain management.
