Excellent teeth cleaning experience

Please do not come to this dentist. They are more concerned with money than your health or smile. I came in to get Invisalign to fix my bite, not for aesthetics as I already had fixed that with my previous dentist in Boston. As a part of my treatment we had agreed to add minor spacing to my top front four teeth, I thought this was normal as I had a permanent retainer and my teeth were bonded together and needed to be separated. After the session to start Invisalign they removed significantly more tooth than had been agreed upon. I now have permanently lost tooth material, a less aesthetic smile and will need to spend more time and money to repair the damage if even possible. This is not normal. I have a copy of the invisalign treatment showing that equal spacing was to be added to the four teeth. One tooth is significantly smaller and the spacing around it is much greater than the rest. This was not what Invisalign intended. This is malpractice. Roya Levi did not even review my smile after her assistant finished adding my Invisalign attachments. She was only present for half the session. It gets worse as her and her assistant were arguing the whole time while doing sensitive work on my mouth. I overheard them say they ran out of the correct cement needed for my Invisialign attachments and instead of rescheduling they used a different cement that was not for Invisalign. Please don't repeat my mistake, don't trust these people. Please do your research, listen to the negative reviews. This whole experience has been a nightmare.

Love this office! Dr Ivanov is an incredible doctor. Ping and Nicole in the office are also so nice and helpful. Don't bother trying to setup an appt. I tried getting an appt multiple times via their online booking form and both times they ignored. Very disappointing.

First of all, make sure to check out Dr. Levi's reviews on Yelp, many of which outline very similar experiences to mine... Dr. Levi and her team take complete advantage of their patients, especially those with good insurance plans. I had a horrible experience here a few years ago that I am STILL paying for. The first thing Dr. Levi said to me when I saw her was that I had the best insurance plan she's ever seen -- "it covers everything!" Shortly after that, I was told that I had a bad crown (even though the crown was less than one year old and my VERY trusted lifelong dentist from back home had done it for me). She said it needed to be replaced immediately and that I also had multiple cavities that needed to be filled. She went on to give me a new crown that didn't fit and caused me intense pain. I had to see an endotontist who told me the new crown was bad and that Dr. Levi needed to replace it. So that resulted in a THIRD crown for the same tooth -- only to have the color not match the rest of my teeth! I kept it after Dr. Levi said the color difference "wasn't that bad." However, the crown itself still gives me issues to this day. My current dentist has told me what a terrible crown it is that will ultimately need to be replaced in a few years or less (aka I will need a FOURTH crown for the same tooth). After experiencing pain from a cavity refill with Dr. Levi, I asked if I could come in so she could make sure everything was okay. She ended up charging my insurance company for a full office visit, thus maxing out my maximum for dental insurance (which was a very generous amount). I have NEVER had a dentist charge me to quickly check on what was causing me pain following a procedure THEY did. When I asked Dr. Levi why she charged me, she rudely said to me, "you cannot tell me what I can and can't charge for." Years after this nightmare, I currently see an amazing, conservative dentist who is STILL fixing Dr. Levi's mistakes. The cavities that Dr. Levi claimed I needed filled were apparently filled very poorly, and I've had to have almost all of them replaced. Dr. Levi has caused me to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on dental work because she was greedy for money and saw a good opportunity to get what she could out of my generous insurance plan. Like other reviews on here, I highly recommend checking Yelp before going to this Dentist. While there are a lot of positive reviews on Google, Yelp is something I wish I checked before going to Dr. Levi’s dental practice. This dentist was in-network for my health insurance, but upon visiting this practice over the course of 3 visits this office came up with a dental plan that would not only max out but exceed my yearly insurance. Luckily I only chose to have what I deemed as the necessary work. Please get a second opinion from another dentist before going here! Aside from the insurance scam they are operating here, I couldn’t help but notice the negative culture among the staff at the practice. The front desk staff would bicker with each other, Dr. Levi would make the staff stand up as she entered a room. She would pester the staff to hurry with the work they were doing on the phone with my insurance company, when I repeatedly told them I was really in no rush. It made me feel uncomfortable when most other dentists I have been to are a calm, friendly environment. The only positive part of my experience was dealing with Nicole at the front desk, who I could tell was doing her best. She told me if all of the work on the dental plan was overwhelming I didn’t need to get it all at once. I took this advice and will be looking for a new dentist. I am from New Zealand I have never experienced this kind of insurance max out and overall terrible experience from a dentist. Very nice dentist. Patient and professional

Just had to have three crowns, not my favorite thing, but once again, if this could be a happy experience, Dr. Roya Levi's practice makes it possible. She truly loves her work and her patients. She is also tremendously skilled. Her staff is also highly skilled, kind, patient, supportive and even fun. They stand ready to explain and help with insurance issues. HORRIBLE! Please save yourself the scam. I’m an 18 year old that recently moved to the area and was almost taken advantage of, but thank GOD I read the reviews, because the office was going to do to me what I’ve read they’ve done to other people. Visited another TRUSTED dentist 5 months prior, no problems, no cavities. Visit Dr. Levi, not only were they unprofessional (left my drivers license in their scanner and forgot to scan it OR give it back to me, had to go back and ask for it after I left, and the assistant left tools that were still running on my chest) but they tried to tell me that in those 5 months, ALL OF MY TEETH HAD DECAYED just based on xrays (the dentist hadn’t even looked in my mouth) and I needed 2 major cavities filled. Charged my mom DOUBLE the selling price of a “prescription toothpaste” that I “urgently needed”, and charged her for a “special fluoride treatment” and DIDNT perform any treatment any other dentist hasn’t done for me during a routine cleaning. I cancelled my appointments for fillings because of my prior experience, and they began harassing me AND my mother to reschedule, and began scheduling appointments FOR ME without my consent or schedule. I would caution anyone looking at these reviews to beware. I am leaving this review after a real experience. In August I was looking for a new dentist and really wanted to find the right one. I chose Roya Levi based on reviews left here (I've also left this review on yelp) thinking she must provide high quality work that I could trust. I was wrong. I made an early morning appointment to get a routine cleaning. This appointment ended up taking almost 2.5 hours as they tried to convince me to get every service under the sun. From night guards for grinding teeth (I regularly go to the dentist and have never been told I have cracked teeth) to getting multiple cavities filled to a follow up appointment for deep cleaning. I was assured that if I regularly kept coming back I'd fix the problem. It seemed the whole office was in on the scam. I was bounced through 3-4 different people. I did end up buying the special prescription toothpaste they kept badgering me about. The worst part was that the cleaning was subpar. The worst cleaning I've ever received. I ended up booking another at a different spot nearer to my home just a couple months later. Contacted Levi's office to get my x-rays they tried to act like I'd never been there but fortunately I had receipts for work as well as a text from their office trying to convince me to come in for more work. The new dentist noticed none of the major problems Roya Levi's office did. Only recommended me a new brush, which I asked for recommendations on. And sent me on my way after an amazing clean. Please be cautious if you go to this office. Question everything and if you are advised to do multiple services, get a second opinion. My veneer came loose over the weekend, and I texted Dr Levy on her personal cell phone on Sunday evening asking if I could come in on Monday morning. She texted me back letting me know that I could come in at 9.15. She squeezed me in, recemented the veneer, and made it possible for me to get to work free of worry. I am very pleased with my experience at Dr. Levi's office. She is a very competent, professional, and caring dentist and the staff are all friendly and very well trained. They make you feel comfortable.

100% recommend!! Both the clinic and the staff are excellent here. I’m usually rather uncomfortable at the dentist but Dr. Levi and her team really go above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable with the care I need. I work a crazy schedule too and they are helpful in accomodating that.

STAY AWAY! Extremely unprofessional. Would not even go here if some one payed me! I even had to take my own notes when getting the exam.

WORST DENTIST EVER!!! Completely took advantage of me. Told me I needed FOURTEEN fillings and a custom mouth guard for $600. I had just been to my Belgian Dentist 6 months prior and didn't need a thing. Over time I had paid out nearly $3k in work out of pocket and she exhausted my insurance for two different years. The mouth guard wasn't fitted properly and overtime caused my jaw to un-align, I woke up in excruciating pain that required heavy painkillers. Her many fillings were so badly done and not at all necessary that I had to go to THREE different doctors to get it fixed and had to get a wisdom tooth removed that I otherwise wouldn't have to. She knew exactly what she was doing; she had me use up my annual insurance allowance and as soon as the new year hit she told me about more work that needed to be done. By the time I had to go to the other doctors to correct all of her mistakes I had run out of insurance for the year, Dr. Roya Levi had exhausted it already and it was only March! When I called to get my x-rays for other dentists to look at they tried to deny I had any work there and then after many phone calls and emails they sent me X-rays OF SOMEONE ELSE, how disgusting. And to add insult to injury: she sent me another bill for $230 dollars and that money is now in collections, affecting my credit score. I am seriously considering legal action. She not only caused me pain and discomfort, but she also drilled 14 new holes (YES 14) to my otherwise perfectly healthy smile and made me lose a wisdom tooth I didn't need to. She's honestly the most caring and honest dentist I have been to. She really got me serious about my dental hygiene in a way that no other dentist has. Prevention is key and Dr. Levi prides herself on this concept in oral health -- at the end of the day it saves your teeth and pockets!

Dr. Levi has been taking care of me and my family for many years and her work is exemplary. I have moved out of town but still travel a couple of hours back to Santa Monica for her care. Dr. Levi is a wonderful Dentist, and incredibly caring human being. I consider her family at this point. Not many people can say that they look forward to visiting their Dentist. She has been great in taking care of things methodically while keeping me motivated to stick with it without overwhelming me. I recently had an issue that was starting to bother me.
