Dr. Rowena Gonzales-Chambers

Dr. Chambers is most caring and very honest. She tells you and explains in detail your options. No “sugar coating” but direct and honest. I prefer that.

Completely rude and unsympathetic towards her cancer patients. Chambers wanted to have her immune-compromised cancer patients go to the overcrowded and filthy PCH for blood tests in the middle of a global pandemic! She is money-hungry and treats her patients poorly. Do not go to this "doctor".

I was recently diagnosed with lung cancer at PCH and they told me at that time that I would be seeing Dr. Chambers. Her rep precedes her, that she is at once "rude" and "the best". Here's what I experienced: Straightforward. Maybe brutally honest, and maybe some people just want kind and gentle words. Give me honesty and truth any day. When I told her that I'd smoked for 50 years, she chewed me out but good. And I deserved it. I caused it. For the next few days, she had me put through an unbelievable battery of tests that I don't think would have happened anywhere else. Then she came to my room and told me I need to get my affairs in order. Tough news to be sure. But the real truth. Made me choke up. And really get serious. Our insurance companies don't do business, but she referred me to a highly respected colleague. In subsequent visits I felt her level of care and compassion to be superior. I don't really need to be coddled, I need the truth. And she certainly delivers.

The office staff at this facility are beyond rude and insulting. They are unwilling to assist anybody and feel it is appropriate to laugh at and insult people attempting to deal with their facility. Ed and Amanda are possibly the most unprofessional, rude and unqualified individuals I have ever had the misfortune of meeting.

She is VERY harsh and has NO sympathy!!!

Absolutely the worst doctor that I have ever seen in my 62 years!

Dr. Chambers and Shelia make a fantastic team. She has a lot of connections to princeton hospital right nextdoor- if you need an oncologist she'll make sure you get the best of care.
