This was my first appt with this... - This was my first appt with this provider. I had been a patient of another doctor and this appt was just to meet Dr. Tolson. I had a couple questions regarding some minor issues I have had and she checked me out right then. She was very attentive and helpful.

Dr. Tolson is friendly and knowledgeable. She takes the time to ask how I'm doing and review my health issues. Also, she is extremely patient when I have questions or ramble on.

Very attentive to my convoluted medical history. First doctor at this clinic that has taken the time to understand all of my medical issues, and recognize the need to collaborate with specialists. Very impressed with Dr. Tolson, just unfortunate she is hard to get an appointment with.

This was my first visit and I was impressed with the friendliness attentiveness.

She isn't a very good doctor. I saw her for several years, and she downplayed any concerns you have, and if you questioned some decisions, you were labeled as disruptive by her and her staff. It was only when I left and saw different doctors that I realized how little she cares about her patients.

10 yrs. It took another dr. A professional to figure it out! Tolson always changing my meds telling me to change my body soaps and detergents. Suffering under her care for 10 years, come to find out I have cancer!!! she's a real peach ...a rotten one. I have a better doctor now you know one that actually cares???? Sincerely, a waste of my lifelife thankyou Rosemarie

My ratings should read poor on every one. I need to add in to my previous review. I actually believed Tolson,I thought knew her job to put that much faith and be let down has tremendously affected my life and well being. Looking back I was treated as though everything was my fault...'change this', 'change that', 'see a therapist', in retrospect I was no one to her just another part of the herd passing through. I mistrust and and leary of doctors bc of her. I was misdiagnosed 2x under her care. I have two types of cancer. Polycythemia Vera...she didn't give a crap about my symptoms she said a friend of hers 'has PV and she is just fine'. Now I am thinking WTH... I believe we are not all the same. Then I had renal cancer my right kidney was removed she wouldn't even see me to renew my prescriptions I was so upset..the front desk schedular laughed at me and claimed I was being disruptive bc I was upset and needed my medication. Luckily there are real doctors who care and I have one now

I can't believe her specialties list weight. I was with her office for 10 years and the PA helped me more than she did. I rarely ever saw her until the PA retired, she has too many patients. When I did start seeing her she didn't help me at all. She appears to be a kind person, but laughs behind her patients back (I heard her, this is why I left that office). I do not trust her and she has not helped me since I have had to see just her and not the PA. I had my neurologist do a thyroid test and I have hypothyroidism, something that probably never came to her mind to do! I wish the PA was still practicing, now I am looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Tolson is truly one of the best primary care providers I have ever had. I have complex medical issues, and often know quite a bit about the medications I am on. I work with specialists. Dr. Tolson always listens to my concerns, appreciates the information I bring to the table, and researches what the appropriate next decision is. She is willing to say no. At the end of my appointments, I truly feel like I have just partnered with my provider. I highly recommend.

Dr. Tolson is a beautiful, wise and astute physician. She really listens and is very thorough - thinking "outside the box." My husband and I are always very happy with our visits and feel well-cared for.

Great docor. Listens well. Is attentive and caring. Non judgemental. Easy to talk to. Yearly female reproductive organ exams we're more tolerable than I have ever experienced with other doctors before and every female person knows that these are never fun or easy exams. The best GP/PCP I've ever had. Over the past decade I've moved around a lot and consequently found myself in a lot of different offices. Now that I'm settled I am very happy to have Dr. Tolson. I don't really want to mess around with anyone else ever again. I take an active role in maintaining my health and Dr. Tolson has been excellent about helping with the things that have always been really difficult for me. RE: the review from (Apr 5th, 2012)- The paradox between available time slots for scheduled appointments vs same-day appointments can be a pain and I've told them as much myself. It seems to have gotten better so they've probably been working on it.

A very great and personal Dr. She really cares and takes the time to listen. The only down side is the MSU family medicine clinic, she works out of - they seem to over book her time and thus make it hard to see her when you want. You can wait up to 2 months between appointments adn it it's almost impossible to schedule a same day. All and all the wait time aside it is worth it to see a Dr. that's cares and is very good.
