In July 2022, had a facelift performed by Dr Riefkohl. I was a bit frightened about the procedure and almost backed out, but I am so glad I proceeded with my facelift. Everything went well with no complications, and even my best friends have not been able to tell I had a facelift. If they ask me, I will certainly tell them, but it is interesting that the result is not extreme or overdone. The cost of Dr Riefkohl‘s procedure was very reasonable compared to amounts several friends have paid other local doctors for the same procedure. He is no frills, but such charges are not required when he does everything truly needed. He is extremely gifted and his staff is wonderful.

Twenty seven years ago, Dr. Riefkohl performed my facelift. Today, at eighty-five, everyone is shocked when I tell them my age as they usually think I’m in my early to mid seventies. Looking young has kept me young as I continue to do the things I always have. Thank you, thank you, Dr. Riefkohl!

He is a great doctor!!

I was very pleased when I went to see him which was about three years ago. He was very straightforward and honest with me, and I thought that was very honorable. He suggested at my age and skin type with sun damage, I not do a procedure, but continue with what I was doing with minor procedures. He did not even charge me for the consultation. I am very familiar with his work on others that I know, and I would say he is one of the best. Yes, his office was different, but I wasn’t there to critique his art.

I had two procedures with Dr Reifkohl. One was to correct an issue created by a plastic surgeon Dr Gregg. Recently had a second procedure with him. He is an incredible doctor and would very highly recommend him.

I had eyelid surgery done on one eye to correct droopiness. It had been bothering me for years. I head about Dr Riefkohl from my dermatologist. I was a little hesitant since there was no website but I had read the reviews and decided to go for it. The results are fantastic! He doesn't have a website because he doesn't need one. Plus, he passes the savings on to the patient which I really appreciate.

Thanks to the doctor and his caring staff. I had a great experience and am very pleased with my results.

Artistic genius. Not sure there is anyone better at natural looking facelifts. Does not “over do it”.

He should not do any surgeries if he is not capable to see how he does incisions.

A 100% positive consultation with Dr. Riefkohl. I found him friendly, supportive and honest. Highly recommend him if you want a truthful assessment of your needs and an honest evaluation. I give him five stars with no equivocation.

Dr Riefkohl is an artist. I’m only one week out and friends absolutely cannot believe the difference. I’ve been out in public since day 2. Had a neck lift, my eyes done and my earlobes made smaller. He is a genius, and I loved him and his nurses and staff. So helpful and accommodating. His skill is unmatched in my opinion which is why he doesn’t need to self promote. Word of mouth is his “advertising” and his work speaks for itself. I know at least 8 people who have had work done by him, and they look amazingly refreshed and natural. I’m so pleased with the results!

Hi, I went to Dr. Riefkohl in 2019 for a rhinoplasty, I was unable to be sedated with the medication provided, I do want to have my procedure preformed by him, has anyone had this experience? Thanks.

I had a neck lift surgery with Dr. Riefkohl four years ago at age 54. While it looked good for a year, I now need another one. I will be researching a plastic surgeon who delivers long lasting results. I’ve also discovered he is over priced. A huge waste of money!!!

Dr. Reifhohl did my surgery 7 1/2 years ago and I am very happy. At 82 I would definitely consider another surgery with this wonderful surgeon.

He is amazing! He did a full face lift on me over 12 years ago. I have crepey skin but I did not want to look like I ran into a brick wall at 90mph. My lift has been great until the last year or two. The crepe is starting to creep back. My dilemma at 76 is should I do it again. I definitely want to. But then the rest of me needs an uplift too!!! What to do? Any thoughts from ladies my age??

I went for a consultation to have eye bags removed. There is a lifesize, old woman with a sign that says "Mildred" sitting in a dark corner of the waiting room. It's a bit scary because she's quite lifelike and the waiting room is kinda dark. Be prepared. It's art. Dr. Reifkohl said that my bags were large and asked if my friends constantly told me I looked tired. Talk about no tact! I thought he had some concerns about some meds I take, until I asked if he had pictures of surgeries he's done he said "no", and if I wanted pictures he could recommend a couple doctors. I asked why no pictures and he said, "I don't have to". At that point I inferred from the conversation that he was rejecting me as a patient. I asked if it was because I asked for photos and he said yes. When I asked if there were other reasons he said "yes, but I don't want to discuss it." I walked out. My experience with just the consultation was aggravating to say the least. He does have a couple good reviews, but he did me a favor, I wouldn't want him to do the work. Also, he doesn't take credit, just checks. And he should update his picture, it looks nothing like him at all, I suspect it's quite old. I went for a consultation to have eye bags removed. Dr. Riefkohl is not only a brilliantly competent plastic surgeon, he is additionally kind, gentle, thorough, patient, and charming. I have had 2 facelifts by Dr. Riefkohl as well as my upper eye lids, and have been so pleased. I'm asked often who does my "work" I never look like I have had work done...only 10 years younger. His staff is competent and pleasant, and his office functions extremly well. I would recommend him highly.

He has the reputation for making his patients look very natural.

Dr. Riefkohl isn't just an amazing surgeon - he is an artist! It's been almost ten years since he did my eyes, and just this year I noticed they are a bit loose. I am going to see him to touch up, and consider partial face lift. I never looked "done" no-one, not even my best friend knew I had plastic surgery (until I told her) and I felt and looked natural, rested, and definitely refreshed. Love this doctor!

Dr. Riefkohl performed upper and lower eyelid surgery and a chemical peel in 2001 and it was great for many years over a decade . Now I’m 59 and my eyes started becoming hooded again because aging sets in. I will see Dr. Riefkohl again since I’m in enrolled in a University and want to look for a better position and don’t want to go with hooded eyes and wrinkles to a job interview he is by far the greatest surgeon I met . Dr. Riefkohl performed upper and lower eyelid surgery and a chemical peel in 2001 and it was great for many years over a decade . Dr Reifkol was recommended by two of my friends as well as my dermatologist. His staff and the environment made me feel very comfortable and the results of his surgery on my friends was amazing. His approach is conservative so your results are extremely natural looking. I interviews no other MDs as I had heard he was the best for face lifts etc

Dr. Riefkohl performed a lower face lift and eye lift for me four years ago. He asked to see photos of my face over 20+ years and used these as a guide to create a fresher look for me. His work is amazing. Just right. Not overly tight or stretched. I look rested and natural. I am still thrilled. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Riefkohl performed a facelift on me 5 years ago. He was very condescending to me in our first meeting; I was nervous anyway, and his manner did not set me at ease. But he was highly recommended by a friend, so I thought I would go ahead. Afterward, I was not given sufficient follow-up care. After stitches were removed, that was it. The facelift looks good, but after 5 years I still have lots of numbness, and some pain, around my ears and the stitch marks never completely disappeared.

A brilliant plastic surgeon with the eye of an artist. He looked at my face prior to lift, showed me what he was going to do and the result was fabulous. It's been SEVEN years and the work has held up. The office and OR are immaculate, staff wonderful. I looked at the results of the ladies who had surgery on the same day as I did (we were in the waiting room together post-op) and they looked amazing. Husbands beaming. Would give Dr. Riefkohl 5x5 stars if I could. Eyelids next.

I recently had a face and neck lift. I don't live close to Durham so had a face to face with the doctor the day before my scheduled surgery. The staff and Dr. Riefkohl greeted me warmly and I left that meeting feeling comfortable about the next day's surgery. Everything went so smoothly. I experienced no pain at all. The bandages came off the next day, the stitches out 4 days later and I was good to go. Actually I was pretty good to go the day the bandages came off. Amazing. I interviewed two physicians whom came highly recommended. Upon meeting Dr. Riefkohl, I knew he was the right surgeon for me. He thoroughly answered my questions; validated my desired results were within reason; explained expected recovery process; warm and engaging staff and comfortable facility that ensures privacy post surgery. The entire experience on day of surgery was easy and comfortable. He is known for creating a totally natural result and that's exactly what I have! I'm thrilled!!
