Dr. Ronald K.T. Mau

I was terribly afraid of going to the dentist and hadn't been for years due to my fears. Dr. Mau and his staff made this visit extremely comfortable, made sure I had enough anesthesia (my biggest fear!), that I was comfortable and worked with my extreme nervousness. Wonderful experience at Hawaii Family Dental.

I was lied to several times about what my insurance covered and was told I had 2x as many cavities as before from the same xray taken at the previous appointment. It felt extremely shady and the cavity he did do still bothers me a year later.

He was verbally abusive to his staff. He spilled water all over mhy lap which soaked completely through my lothes. His staff was kind enough to dry them for me while i waited in a room with a towel wrapped around me. My procedure may have not have been as smooth as he liked, but overall he was extremely unprofessional. I wish I had other options but I am stuck because of my dental plan.
