I was sent a letter from Blue Shield of California that Ronald K Lagro as of March 7th, 2022 no longer is a participant of the Blue Shield of California PPO Network. FYI.

if i could give negative stars i would. if you care about yourself or your loved ones don’t send them to this man. you’ll be left waiting in a waiting room being condescended to by receptionist and assaulted with horribly loud music and abrasive lighting that would make even someone without epilepsy uncomfortable. Dr. Katana will enforce his very strict “7 minute” late policy however will leave you waiting for an in office appointment for almost an hour (because he very obviously double booked himself, he was conveniently out of the office the next week) or leave you waiting over two hours for an over the phone appointment. he will start off speaking to you about patient/doctor trust and making you feel safe, then will completely negate all of your concerns or genuine needs when the actual time to be seen in person arrives (a lot of “mhm, yup, totally” while you’re crying you’re eyes out about your disability). he will prescribe you very severe medication, be unavailable for a week and then casually take you off of it. his staff is constructed by some of the most apathetic and disrespectful human beings one could ever encounter in the medical field (receptionists spending more time on snapchat and chit chatting and laughing with other behind the desk WITHOUT MASKS ON while you’re trying to be seen and in an incredible amount of discomfort). as i sit here and write this i’m waiting to hear back from him for my appointment at 3:45pm, it’s 5:40pm. can’t call the office back since it’s been long closed. if you care about yourself, your family, or anyone you love: DO NOT SEE THIS MAN. Wonderful, knowledgeable, and caring physician.

use to be a good doctor, now he does not follow up on patients and ignores you when you need your prescriptions filled no one in his office will talk to him it,s like they,re all afraid of him becoming the worse doctor in town. when he goes on vacation there are no referrals for one left to call, you have to wait until he gets back to bad he,s practice is going downhill

Had one of the worst experiences I've ever had with this doctor this morning when helping a 91 year old friend to go in over a fractured disk that is causing her horrible pain . He called her and told her to come in (takes everything out of her right now due to the pain) then he treated her horribly. As if she was a Hugh bother to hin. He was beyond short with her.. he was completely rude !! Due to the severe fires right now, my eyes have been burning which causes me to squint trying to relieve them . He got angry over it and very hostility said "why do you keep making faces?" His question to me was because he knew he was being rude and assumed I was responding to his meaness. Truth is if I didn't have a 91 yr. Old lady sitting there whom I respect greatly.. he would have gotten more than faces from me. I would not recommend this man. But, especially for geriatric patients. He has a very mean bed side manner. Obviously doesn't have any real care for his patients. I have a rare autoimmune disorder that can cause blindness or stroke. Couldn't get any real help from other doctors, but Dr, Lagro diagnosed it immediately. Great doc!

Dr. Lagro is very intelligent. He doesn't sugar coat anything to make you feel comfortable. He will give you excellent medical advice to help your condition. He is friendly and his staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs.
