Dr. Ronald Devere

While Dr. Ron Devere may have many accolades from a variety of sources, my sisters and I found his behavior towards my elderly parents and us to be "god-like" and condensing and not in the least helpful. He completely discounted any input from my mother or myself about my elderly father's destructive behavior that is escalating. Do not go to Dr. Ron Devere if you would like to have your information and concerns kept confidential or if you would like any type of empathy or understanding. He informed my family that the diagnoses terms of Alzheimer's and Dementia no longer were used; was unable to provide any helpful resources or answers; after five previous specialist and numerous types of testing over ten years in our home state, told us nothing was wrong with my father. On another occasion, Dr. Ron Devere broke HIPPA violations by opened the closed door into his son's office, Dr. Russ Devere, interrupting my neuro-psych my evaluation due to being the sole caregiver to my father. Dr. Ron Devere, along with his patient or friend directly behind him, stepped INSIDE of his son's professional doctor's office while I was undergoing a five-hour emotionally draining test. I was crying at that emotionally intense and private sharing moment with Dr. Russ Devere (son). The father, Dr. Ron Devere broke my HIPPA rights because he wanted to tell his son that he would be gone for an hour and that he left a note on the receptionist's desk with information for someone if they were to be looking for him. Unbelievable, illegal and the god complex of someone who has forgotten what suffering, heartache, patient tragedy, trauma and the unknown feels like and what it can do to a family. Dr. Ronald Devere, MD, is indeed an outstanding professional with extensive knowledge and expertise. The time he took to carefully evaluate my daughter's condition, listening to her concerns, posing significant questions, and following through with a most thorough evaluation, truly made a difference in her life. my family incl. my 86 yr old momr visited with Dr. Devere. we found him understanding and patient as the four of us peppered him with questions. he had us complete a short questionnaire about changes in mom's lifestyle/ condition and gave her a short oral "exam" (questions, drawing or identifying some items, etc.) to investigate her mental acuity. he outlined for us the various possible diagnosis, then ordered various medical tests to "confirm" his suspicions. i have received 3 follow up cal

Not impressed. Dr. Devere was dismissive and condescending. Would ask a question then cut me off halfway through explanation with the next question, as if he already knew the answer, but did not seem either care or understand my answers. He's been at it too long. Time to retire. Would not recommend him at all.

He was disrespectful and insulting in his comments about my condition. He had no patience or empathy for a person with anxiety. They also don't answer the phone.
