Dr Barke is one of the best! He tells you what it is and what can and can not be done. I’ve been using him since 1996. The staff at both the north and south office if very professional and friendly.

Friendly staff, thorough exam, good results. Have been to all three of Dr. Barke's offices at one time or another. All with the same excellent care.

This man is the best! Don’t go to anyone else!

Worst bedside manner & very arrogant. Kept speaking over my mother when she was explaining her symptoms of eye pain. Dr. Barke proceeded to tell my mother she didn't have Glaucoma when he's been treating her for glaucoma for 15+yrs. He actually told us if we didn't like that his tone we needed to find another eye doctor. Made my elderly mother who has dementia cry. Horrible experience! Worst bedside manner & very arrogant. Very courteous and friendly staff

Dr. Barke performed cataract surgery on my eyes in 2016. After the surgery I had and still have 2020 vision and if my husband ever needs cataract surgery we will return to Arlington and Dr. Barke for the surgery. He is a great eye surgeon.

Very rude and degrading. Tried to explain problem but did not listen. Will never return there.

From the front office, to the specialized technicians’ exams, to my eye exam for cataract surgery, and subsequent surgery for lens replacement by Dr. Barke, my experience was wonderful. The front office employees were so friendly and accommodating. The specialized technicians were highly trained, and completely covered all information on the progression of the growth of my cataracts, and answered all my questions, as well. Dr. Barke provided an excellent description of my surgery plan, executed that plan, and my results were fantastic. Dr. Barke and his whole office made me feel comfortable, and showed that they were very reliable. Dr. Barke is the professional you want operating on your eyes if it comes down to surgery. He is highly respected by his colleagues and his staff. When I have my left eye cataract surgery, Dr. Barke will be my surgeon.

Very pleasant Man and extremely professional,He did both of my eyes 5 Years apart,I highly recommend him and his staff.

All my dealings with Dr. Barke have been very good. He treats you with "respect" and does not try to tell you that you are not seeing what you say you are like some other individuals I have seen other places. I and my Husband are very pleased with Dr. Barke.

I believe that the front desk is the window to your experience behind those doors leading to the operative area. The young lady at your service desk could be a little bit more friendly and welcoming. Immediately when The time Presented itself to transition to the operative Area James smile was genuine, friendly, and he made you feel safe. Anesthesiologist was a little cold/ to the point.Howevet the assistant to Dr. Barke team members smile made up for any uneasiness in that I may have felt. I believe Dr. Borke did a great job and he made me feel very safe. So all the promotion on Christian radio that I’ve heard over the years about Key- Whitman is everything & More. Thank you and I’m excited about having the left eye done.

My husband started seeing this Doctor last year because of a change in Insurance. He told my husband he didn't have glaucoma, which he has been being treated for for several years. Told him his pressures where high because of high blood pressure and had him stop his prescription eye drops for six weeks. When my husband returned his pressures where high so he had to resume his prescribed medication. My husband left there without a new prescription so when it expired we had to call for a new one. They refilled his prescription. He went today for his checkup and Doctor Barke was totally unaware of my husbands past history with him, or his medication that he had prescribed. This glorified eye appointment with a Doctor that was totally not concerned enough to know his patients history cost us $175.This is what we get for our hard earned money and Health Insurance that costs us $1600 plus per month. I have been a long time patient of Dr Barker for over 22years. He has always been at he forefront cutting edge techniques for treating eye problems, especially glaucoma. My entire family has benefited from his skillful hands and recommendations. I strongly recommend his services, he is very approachable and receptive to new ideas and thoughts that might help improve your condition. His staff is always compassionate, helpful and very knowlegable Thank you for sharing your gift of healing!

Dr. Barke was very rude to my 87 year old mother-in law. I would not recoommend him.

Was very disappointed with the unprofessional manner of the office visit with Dr. Barke. I had been to the office the previous year and was examined by Dr Faber....a total different visit! On the visit with Dr. Faber, I left the office knowing what was needed and when. If I use Key Whitman for my surgery, it will not be with Dr Barke!!!
