Dr. Roger P Jackson

I had a complete thoracic spinal reconstruction surgery in 2009. It saved my life and gave me a new quality of life I had not had for years. I had planned to have a repair done on the cervical curvature of my scoliosis and was told last week that it corrected itself to compensate for the correction done on my thoracic spine. I have been through a complete miracle from you, Dr. V., and staff. I am so very grateful. God bless you all.

This man has messed up alot of his patients backs including my wife's she has been in bad pain for 15 years and when she came to him he made it sound like she had to have the surgery asap when we found out later from many other back surgeons that it should have never happened, plus no surgeon wanted to even try to fix his mistakes and we went to alot of them ,they all pretty much said who ever did this should have should've picked a different profession. He put her rods and screws down 3 inches to far down. I could tell you alot more but I think you got the point. And I'm begging you to find a different person to go to ,because he's real fast to do a surgery. Just because he invented the table they do surgery's on doesn't mean he can do back surgery's. I am Dr. Jackson's youngest patient to date. He performed two surgeries on me in 2005 that drastically improved my quality of life. I was 16 years old at the time. Now I am 28 years old, and I have had zero relapses regarding the surgeries he performed. When I tell people that I have two rods, bone graphs, and cadaver discs stabilizing my spine, they cannot believe it unless I show my warrior scars. 23 years ago my wife needed an emergency Lamenectomy Surgery after waiting 6 days for us to get to the place of deciding to get into the Emergency Room without any Insurance due to me being Unemployed for 7 months. 1 day before the surgery she lost all feeling below the waist. I talked her into going to the Emergency Room at Truman Medical Center but when the MAST ambulance came and got her on the gurney they said they were to go to the nearest hospital, which was North Kansas City Hospital. We were lucky to go there where Doctor Roger P. Jackson calmed me down and spoke to me in terms I could understand to sign the papers that brought my wife now of 31 years out of pain and got some feeling back slowly through the years. Dr. Jackson told me the news that Laura had a 90% chance of never walking again. She was in NKC Hospital for 5 weeks receiving the kindest and most courteous of care through physical therapy and rehabilitation. After these 5 weeks she was able to walk with a large quad cane. But mainly ride in wheelchairs for long distances. Within a year she was walking with a regular cane. Now she most of the time out paces me. Doctor Roger P. Jackson is a GREAT surgeon, teacher of other surgeons and a kind man. I am in the process of seeking his opinion on my lamenectomy. I would trust HIM and his associate surgeons at Spine and Scoliosis Surgery any time I need an opinion on my back or skeleton. A very GRATEFUL patients husband.
