Dr. Dow’s staff is always so enjoyable!

We are relatively new to Salem and needed to establish care w a dentist. I went on the local moms group via social media and received lots of referrals to Dr Dow, and boy, were those mamas right! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Dow and his staff! My 6.5yo daughter has a mouth that is crowded, even by baby teeth, and she will eventually need braces when her permanent teeth come in. Her little mouth is crowded enough that flossing between her back four sets of molars is impossible, and so she got several cavities in those spots. She was VERY afraid to have them looked at, bc one hurt. From the moment we arrived for our first appt, from Kim and the coordinating staff, to the dental assistants, to Dr Dow himself, each were so warm and reassuring! It can be pretty shocking how many doctors can seem either unaware of or indifferent to little kid’s fears; sometimes I feel like I as a parent get more reassurance at the pediatrician’s or dentist’s office than my little ones do. As a mom, while I do appreciate thorough info and interaction, if I’m in a children’s office, I expect my child to be included and not have someone just talk about them like they aren’t even in the room. I don’t expect my child to be pampered or treated like an idiot, but if you work w kids, you ought to be good with kids! Sometimes frightened little kiddos need a few extra moments of time that’s directed right at them, especially if they’ve only seen something scary in a cartoon or heard a grown up day they hate the dentist! Unfortunately my daughter’s one tooth was going to need a root canal and crown, so he wisely and kindly said that could be done under anesthesia at Northbank Surgery Center. Her mouth is crowded, so some of her baby teeth aren’t coming out fully (think one tooth cracked and came out half way- “does the tooth fairy still come?!?!”) since her perm teeth don’t have the space to push them up and out as they should. Most issues are better prevented than undone, and he assessed that she’s likely to need a few teeth pulled in a year or two as her permanent teeth come in. He sent us to an orthodontist for a free evaluation, so that the ortho could spare her any little (awake in a chair) shots and extractions down the road, and I appreciated that foresight and thoughtfulness as well! Her procedure went great, he was so sweet to her and to me, and I felt so informed and confident w him and his wonderful staff being our pediatric dentist! From start to finish, Dr. Dow Pediatric Dentistry was beyond ideal for our kids, and both the ortho and the surgery center to whom he referred us were wonderful as well. We are so thankful! Now I have a very proud of herself little miss and her little brother giving all their stuffies “teeth check ups” at the vet office, and several of the stuffies were diagnosed by her as “needing a small procedurement” to fix their dental woes! Thank you, Dr Dow and staff for making a could-be wretched experience an opportunity for joyful dramatic play and two little kids who are excited to tell their friends “the dentist isn’t scary at all and they are super nice there!” We are relatively new to Salem and needed to establish care w a dentist. I have been taking my kiddos to Dr. Dows office since 2011. Dr. Dow, Peggy and Kim are amazing people. I love how the office is kid friendly. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Dow and his staff are just amazing! They have been so wonderful to us with my children’s care and I trust them. Highly recommend!

LOVE Dr. Dow and his team!!! My son is autistic and NOT a fan of dentists or doctors, but even during this pandemic Dr Dow goes out of his way to see my son and make him as comfortable as humanly possible. They couldn't be more caring or patient, even when my son got overstimulated and kicked the poor man :( I would recommend them to any and everyone who will listen ;) LOVE Dr. Dow and his team!!! We’ve been with dr.Dow’s office for a several years now and we trust him completely. He is always very professional and cares about the kids. He believes that no child should be in pain, and will advise how to best help them. My kids are very shy, little boys, and they don’t always like strangers, but have grown fond of dr Dow quickly. They know he won’t hurt them. The office staff remains the same throughout the years! It’s nice to see that they like where they work, and what they do, and who they work for, so the kids are familiar with them also. Always friendly and helpful staff and doctor, they make my kids feel at ease.

Have been coming here for years, love the staff always kind and informative. Kids always leave happy ???? which is a plus. Very kind and patient ????

Dr Dow is super professional and his staff is always happy and fun, that really helps my children feel more comfortable going to the dentist and Kim in the office really goes the extra mile on the insurance end . THANKS TO THE WHOLE STAFF FROM THE FRONT OFFICE TO THE DENTAL ASSISTANTS

Absolutely love bringing our daughter here!! She loves going to the dentist and always has the best experience here. We love Dr. Dow!

My daughter has been with Dr. Dow for years now and has always been so happy to see him and his team, the staff are wonderful and Dr. Dow is amazing! He is my daughters favorite Doc to see! We love Dr. Dow and his staff. They are always so informative, friendly, positive and interested in our children’s whole person. Our children have been patients of Dr. Dow’s for 18 years and we have always had the best experience, service and treatment from him and his staff. Thank you Dr. Dow and staff!

Dr. Dow and his staff took great care of our son and made the whole dental experience as good as possible. I would highly recommend him.
