Dr Rushing explains things well and communicates with his co-workers in a way that helps me feel heard and informed. I go to my medical visits alone, so want to be sure that I understand everything, and my questions are answered.

Dr. Rushing, Is very personable and caring, He took very good care of me during and after my surgery. He is very funny and made me laugh.

Regarding the response to my comment left on June 3rd, I just want to say I know what I heard. Both my faith (mentioned by name) and my DPA were spoken of and laughed at. I’m sure many people have received great care here, but that was not my experience. Just be aware that your rooms are not soundproof, you can be heard on the other side of the door. Also, I did speak to someone about it when I called to cancel my next appointment and explained why. She was apologetic, but was sitting right there during the conversation so I’m sure she was aware of what was said. I do not usually go to review sites looking to complain about negative experiences. In fact, I ignored the first two emails requesting my opinion, as I just wanted to move on from the experience. But after the third request I thought “Ok fine. They want my opinion so badly, here goes.” I get that no one is perfect, even the best can make mistakes, just be aware of who can hear your conversation

I thought the doctor presented hisself well, he was really informative but after the surgery at the follow-up he didn’t show up so I could have him explain a few things. The nurse did what she could without him. I thought he should have come in and explained what he did and what he seen. It just seemed like he didn’t have time for me.

I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received from Dr. Rushing and his staff. Dr. Rushing was kind, compassionate, and clearly explained my condition and the procedure. His warmth and humor put me and my husband at ease, and it was apparent why he came so highly recommended by several others in the medical profession. His PAs, Stephanie and Marisa, are also first-rate, as well as the ladies in the lab whose efficiency and humor was appreciated. My surgery was well executed and Dr. Rushing's foresight likely saved me from requiring chemotherapy and radiation. Alyssa in scheduling always calls back in a timely manner, and any questions I ask online are met with a quick returned call or prompt reply. I actually look forward to my follow ups with Marisa as she is professional, sincere, and makes me feel valued, seen, and heard. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Rushing and his staff for making such a potentially daunting experience very manageable and even enjoyable.

It was a virtual apt. I have been a patient of dr Rushing’s since 2018. He did my debunking surgery for peritoneal cancer. Several rounds of chemo over the years. Through Gods placement of him and his team in my life I no longer have any cancer in my peritoneal lining, or liver. Have battled the spleen the last few years with them. In this last meeting he informed me that with a splenectomy and another round of chemo I may be cured of my cancer. They are fast to react to the curveballs of cancer with so much compassion. Blessed with them for sure.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rushing's for seven years. He is definitely a 5-star provider in every way. He is kind, caring, personable and knowledgeable. He has been positive and encouraging throughout my journey with cancer. I appreciate the way he takes time to explain things and gives me the feeling that he's here for me every step of the way. I would highly recommend him and his staff. Everyone at Compass Oncology has been amazingly compassionate and helpful.

Dr. Rushing and his team answered every question I had. I was ready to take action after talking with them about my cancer.

Dr. Rushing has a "people" personality. He can make you feel like you are important while having to also deliver hard reality. I would recommend him on a flash!

I appreciate the time & care Dr. Rushing takes to answer any questions or concerns I have. His team has awesome communication and feel I am in very capable, competent hands. I am so thankful for Dr. Rushing and his team. Also, the nurses in the transfusion center are awesome!! But really, everyone is great, even the gals in the lab poking me for blood.

Dr. Rushing was great! His staff is Awesome! They really do care about your health and your mental state of mind-I can't say enough good about him and his staff! From the beginning they were great in handling the fear, denial and acceptance! I am very thankful for that first appointment as I cannot tell you where I would be today! Highly recommend!

In November of 2019 I had a very large fibroid tumor surgically removed by Dr. Rushing. I then had a follow-up visit to have staples removed and to speak with the surgeon. I found him to be the most caring and thoughtful person that I could have ever wished for. He explained everything carefully and then asked me if I had any questions for him. If I could give him a 10 star review I would. This man was born to be a Surgeon and to care for people. I feel very lucky to have had him for my Doctor and Surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Rushing was professional, caring and giving the same care and respect to the patient as he would a dear and cherished family member. If you had to go through major surgery as I did and I was scared! And I didn’t have much time to wrap my head around what had happened in my physical body and surgery was that needed to take out an aggressive growing mass in my abdomen! Dr. Rushing eased my fears and answered my questions. I had surgery 3 months ago.

Sorry, I have been meaning to write this review for several months. Dr. Rushing has been caring for my wife for over 10 years for ovarian cancer. He is not only a fantastic doctor, he is the most caring, considerate and compassionate doctor we have encountered in our adult life. He always goes the extra mile and treats us as if we are his only patient. From what I hear, he treats all of his patients the same way. We feel lucky and blessed to have him as our doctor. Dr. Rushing has been treating my mother for Ovarian cancer for many years. Although watching my mother deal with the cancer has been awful, Dr. Rushing and his team have always been a bright spot during this difficult time. Worst dr. I've ever had. Was arrogant, total disregard for my feelings. Didn't have cancer when I started seeing him. Was supposed to get a hysterectomy. Told I was too fat. Well now I freaking have cancer, he wants to keep me on a damn appetite stimutant which makes me gain weight, and still won't do surgery. I wouldn't send a rabid dog to this man. Stand up for your rights and you get treated like garbage He didn't even tell me I had cancer he had his nurse do it. Chicken . I walked out.

Dr Rushing saved my daughter's life four years ago. She's been cancer free ever since. He was always so good to her and always answered any question she had. I know she has the highest regard for him, therefore I do, too. May God bless this wonderful Doctor!

Dr. Rushing saved my life! I was diagnosed at the ER on the same day I met Dr. Rushing. He told me he was taking my large basketball sized ovarian tumor out that day....and he did. He is a kind man with great bedside manners. I feel like God directed every person who I came in contact with that day to lead me to Dr. Rushing! I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!!n
