Dr. Robin Frank Spiering

WORST PLACE EVER! IF YOU NEED MEDICAL CARE, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I HAD TO GIVE A STAR IN ORDER TO POST BUT THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE THAT. You won't be seen by a doctor, only a physician's assistant. They don't return phone calls. When you reach a person, they put you on hold and never come back on the line. My wife had lab tests over 2 weeks ago and she still can't get info from them on results. What kind of medical office does that? (Yes, test results are at their office and they do have our correct phone number.) Very frustrating especially when you're ill.

I highly recommend Dr. Spiering and Laurabeth his Physician's Assistant. His office staff is friendly and efficient. I've been a patient for 10 years and have never felt rushed. My questions are always answered in detail and I feel that they really care about my health. I've never had a problem getting a referral to see a specialist. Overall I rate Dr Spiering and his practice excellent. 5 stars.

Dr. Spiering is very sympathetic and such a good listener! Definitely want him to be my doctor for a while! He is very knowledgeable too.

He has been my doctor for 20 years. He is wonderful. However, his office staff and referral person leave something to be desired. It's been 3 weeks since my office visit and I was told I need to have an MRA of my brain due to ER visit with headaches, dizziness, constant loud ringing in ears for over a month etc. Here we are, no referral, called Sharp Grossmont Med Group, they have no such referral. Office was supposed to have answers by end of day. They never called me and closed early! This is serious stuff! I could have a blood clot, aneurism, etc and here I sit. NO PREVENTATIVE CARE. This could be detrimental to someones health because of the office staff incompetence. I have no words at this point. Very disappointing and scary. YOU need to be your own advocate!

My aunt's doctor.

Having had the same primary/insurance for over 30 years, then changing was daunting. The first plus for me was that someone actually answered the phone. The office staff are welcoming, warm and friendly. I was at ease and comfortable right away. I was put in a room almost immediately, There was virtually no wait time between the various stages of the exam. Matthew listened to me, answered my questions and provided me with new information. He spent more time with me than my previous provider, by far. EKG right in office. All labs and referrals were immediately made, an rx was ready for pick up before I made it home.. Been with Dr Spierings office since I was 16. Excellent Doctors and staff! Highly recommended!

As far as a recommendation, it would depend on the individual. Some want a complete explanation of a situation while others prefer a brief one. At times I feel I've been rushed and no answers to my questions have really been definitive. He is a very pleasant person and there have been times when I felt reassured about medical problems. I've been going to him for several years and wouldn't be going back if I was totally dissatisfied.
