Dr. Robin B Septon

The absolute worst experience for myself and my child!!!! Starting with the office staff, every person that I’ve spoken to was extremely rude and does not accommodate at all. My two children are suffering from a skin infection and this office could care less. I have never in my life dealt with more rude people. It got so bad, that I had to take my child’s hand and walk out of their office. After waiting months to see the Dr, I will now find somewhere else to take my children. Their office staff is truly the absolute worst and I would never recommend them.

I've been seeing Dr Septon for more than 10 years and have always found her to be polite and EFFICIENT. I'm not going to make friends, I'm going for her professional service. Dr. Robin Septon was pleasant, thorough and highly intelligent. She was able to ascertain a diagnosis and offer solutions. I felt better in a day. I believe the negative reviews stem from the fact that she is very “matter of fact.” That works perfectly for me. I just want someone who can do the job with a modicum of compassion. I don’t need my dr. to be my best friend. Her staff couldn’t have been nicer and the offices and waiting room were spotless. A positive experience in every way. Had an appointment today, first visit. I found Dr. Septon to be informative, thorough, very friendly. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Took my 68 year old mother today ...I had to translate. ( Dr speaks Spanish) but I stayed in room anyway. Thank God I did. This dr has the WORST bedside manners I have ever seen. We truly felt like we WERE taking her time away from a very important matter.... Nothing was explained to us. She just kept clicking away on her iPad.... Got annoyed when my mom brought up issues ..( no...it wasn't like she had a long list) and made us feel like ...hello....I am not here for all these..you only told my assistant of these....very rude... condescending and extremely unprofessional. I loved her. Besides being thorough and efficient. She was very personable. And no wait. Which for me is huge. Im so suprised by the one star reviews on here. Not my experience at all. Great experience!

I have been going to Dr. Septon for quite a few years and have found her to be so incredibly professional and proficient. She has gone far beyond her office visit at times to, so much as, pull and print a laundry list of history for me to solve a problem. She is kind, confident and goes step by step with me during any procedures. She doesn't dilly dally around and gets to the issues at hand. I'm so grateful that I'm not hanging around longer than need be in the office. I remain a loyal patient! Dr. Septon is a very nice lady, talks a little fast but very nice. I have to say I was a patient for 5 years dealing with psoriasis on my shins so bad. We tried everything, prednisone, every cream you could imagine, cortisone injections etc. I asked her why I couldn't try biologics and her answer right away was "Oh that won't work for you". I decided to get a second opinion finally and the second the new doctor saw my shins she said "Why aren't you on biologics? You're a perfect candidate". Well guess what I've been on Skyrizi for 3 months and I'm almost clear. What a relief, no itching, no burning, no burning in the shower which was so painful, no side effects at all. She also gave me a really strong cream and had me put it on at night, wrap my shins in saran wrap overnight for a week, wow what a difference. I just wish Dr. Septon would have let me try this sooner. Sometimes you just need a different opinion. I'm glad I switched to DMCS in Hampton Bays.

Very kind, caring. She explained in detail what the procedure is. Great sense of humor rarely see by many drs. Tge entire staff couldn't have been any more kind n caring. Upbeat n welcoming. Have recommended to several folks already.

She was Disinterested, Smug, Disrespectful, Insulting and mocked my GP who recommended her. She was pushy and acted like a Bad Used Car Salesperson.. I was so perturbed..

I have going to this practice for many years and Dr Septon has always been terrific the problem I had was with the appointment front desk. I woke up with a severe swollen neck and chin with large blotchy spot on neck. I have had cellulitis before and know how serious it can be. I called the office a day earlier and they told me the only appointments they have is for Oct 17th, so that evening I went on to ZocDoc and found another Dermatologist near my home that had an available appointment the next day. I tried one more time to make an appointment told the receptionist I think it's cellulitis had no appointments, thank goodness I had another appointment. When I saw the new Dermatologist who was terrific verified my fears I indeed had Cellulitis and was started to travel in bloodstream which could have given me Septic . She told me to go immediately to the Emergency Room or she can expedite and send me to a surgeon she knew she immediately referred me to a surgeon to have it lanced and put on Augmentin. I am upset how the receptionist did not know the serious nature of Cellulitis and called the office manager to tell her what happened and informed her you just lost a patient. I've read other reviews and all I can say is I must have seen her on a bad day. I went in for a follow up and after a couple of rambling minutes, she said she couldn't help any further. This is after an 1&1/2 hour wait. The staff is extremely helpful, but the practice is overwhelmed. Needless to say I won't be back

Wouldn’t recommend her. She rushes you and doesn’t really seem that she cares about your well being.

Bad experience! Tried to call the Dr the day following my appointment at 10am, to get a prescription after researching and finding that I should be taking medication. 2pm I call back, told Dr. hasn't seen my request yet. 3pm I give up, go to CityMD clinic, get real exam and prescription. That Dr. wants to know why Dermatologist gave me nothing! 6pm Dr. Septon's office calls back. BTW, its a Friday! I told them that I don't need them any longer and thanks for nothing! Bad experience! The attention to the patient is magnificent. The staff is friendly and willing to be helpful with any and all inquiries, in person or by phone. Clean and comfortable building with ample parking space.

Dr. Septin has treated my son twice so far for warts, both times with precision, care, and knowledge. There is one front desk girl that is amazing and lights the whole place up, and some of the old school medical assistants are amazing. My son received juice and a cupcake after his procedure. We were originally thinking he would have more meds applied, but opted for the procedure. Now I see why the wait times are so high sometimes. Very knowledgeable staff, I am in the medical field and I see how some people could be weary about some of the offices bedside manner, but I find that's the medical field sadly. Incompetent! A total waste of time. Gave a "full-body" scan in under a minute, no special light, no special glasses. Just glanced. Froze a precancerous spot on face that I had pointed out. She found nothing on her own---no surprise. The spot returned within 3 weeks.

My experience was fine with the doctor, but I was very aggravated with the wait time of my appointment. I skipped my lunch break to get there by 3:15 and was not seen until 4:45! My time is valuable and I feel that office must overbook and have lack of consideration for their patient's time. Did not even apologize until I mentioned it to them. They need to change their procedure for appointments.

I had numerous pre cancers on my nose, cheeks and forehead, which Dr. Septon was able to freeze off, painlessly. She also took a biopsy of a possibly cancerous spot. This was also done painlessly. I had other areas on my body which were a concern to me. Dr. Septon checked my entire body and assured me that the areas were not anything to be concerned with. I highly recommend Dr. Septon.

She is very professional, give an excellent attention and the right medicine and information.
