Dr. Roberto Fulvio Ferraro

Dr. Ferraro canceled 3 Consecutive appointments and "didn't know when he would be in the office again," even though he knew I had kidney stones. Incompetent with no concern for his patients. Go to ANYBODY else!

Doctor Ferraro and his team are an example of professionalism, dedication and constant concern for the patient. Highly recommended as a professional and as a human being.

They are so rude,,

His staff is a barrier to receiving any quality care at all. They repeatedly over many months have been unresponsive to not only the patient, but insurance companies and other health care providers who attempt to interact in order to get care the Dr. himself recommends. Find another practice.

Dr. Ferraro was very impatient. I felt like I was not being heard. Gave me meds that will rise my blood pressure when I have high blood pressure. Also the meds discription don't address what I even went in for. I gave two stars for Melissa the PA who was very resuring and patient. But I'm finding Another Dr. Dr. Ferraro sucks. I called to say I was still having pain (my new Dr. Appt. was two weeks way) they didn't return my mssg until the day after I met my new Dr. Stay away if you can. Dr. Ferraro was very impatient. This so called Urologist was on call the weekend of 10/16/19 for Waxhaw ER. My father took my grandmother in for what turned out to be several kidney stones one is 8 mm, severe kidney infection and UTI. Vomiting what looked like coffee grounds mixed with blood. All of the ER staff wanted to admit her, this so-called doctor said no sent her home with pain meds. My grandmother returned home and within 3 hrs we had to call an ambulance to take her to Atrium Pineville where she was close to sepsis. Admitted right away, stent for the kidney infection, iv’s For infection. He needs to be looked at and will be reported. I guess my grandmother interrupted him. I have had great experiences with Dr. Ferraro. He has been my Urologist for 10 years. He is highly professional and knowledgable. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Ferraro has been my urologist since 2008. In my opinion, he is not merely a good physician because of his knowledge and expertise, he is a supremely caring physician whose concern for the whole patient is exemplary. His staff is competent, friendly and helpful, and his P.A. Matt is outstanding as well.

It was years ago (2002) but he was kind, calm, explained things well, calmed my fears.

Referred by primary care, Diagnosed and treated cancer and elected active surveillance as follow up. When x-ray results indicated need for an additional CT scan, his office failed to secure pre-authorization from insurance. Test had to be cancelled, which along will the unsuccessful struggle to solve the issue was extremely stressful. He himself was unresponsive to multiple messages. Had to find another provider. His skills are OK, but he's also arrogant and it's not worth dealing with his incompetent staff. Find another Dr.

I have been his patient for 12 years and I trust him wholeheartedly. When I needed prescriptions renewed his office has always done it promptly. I usually request it online and they respond very fast. I give him credit for saving my life twice and through it all he did excellent work, had a very caring attitude, and did anything he could do for me. I consider him a friend at this point. I highly recommend him.

Did not get enough tissue of prostate biopsy to be able to determine aggressiveness of cancer

Dr. Ferraro performed a biopsy on my husband. It came back with a very low percentage of cancer cells. The doctor gave us several treatment options but pushed more for the HIFU treatment, which by the way it is not FDA approved. He is the co owner of the machine. That procedure is not covered by insurance. He wanted to charge us $25 thousand dollars. We got a second opinion and the doctor suggested no treatment and to keep it in active surveillance. I was feeling a pain on my right side so I went to visit the Urologist . He found out that I had stones in my left kidney and the kidney was shrinking in size. I had the surgery done on November 21st, The service was excellent. I was discharged from the hospital on the 22nd. From the surgery to discharge, I had excellent care, All the doctors and staff went beyond my expectations. Dr Ferraro and Dr Xavier Harrison was the best. My follow up appointment was 29th (yesterday). I met with Dr Matt Baker. He is terrific. Overall, I would recommend this urologist specialist for any of your needs. Great job guys!!!!!!! Excellent Doctor!!!

My father is his patient. Poor communication between Dr. Ferraro and the other providers in the office. My father makes his appointment to see Dr. Ferraro but ends up seeing someone else. Consistency would be appreciated. There is a lot of casual and jovial chatter going on in the office. Dr. Ferraro has appeared sympathetic when dealing with my father but this culture is insensitive. Dr. Ferraro needs to get a handle on his staff as well as the banter. It is unprofessional.

He used to be great. Not so much anymore. Very distracted and disinterested. Staff has declined over the years. I don't think there are any nurses there, even though they call themselves nurses. He is definitely more interested in his leisure activities than his patients. He loves to talk about his wife, his kids, hunting and boating. I have had enough.

Excellent doctor! Great bedside manner and very professional! Family very pleased with him!

Seems competent enough but I routinely wait weeks for refills and have to call multiple times to make sure it gets done

Had a water seal operation on 12/20/13 on right testicle - having issues and complications and waiting to get back in to see Dr to see what he will do about it but very unhappy at this time
