Dr. Weiss was absolutely amazing! I had minor surgery and Dr.Weiss was very informative, clear, composed, and passionate. I would recommend this office!!

Dr. Weiss performed two semi-emergency surgical procedures, one in-patient and one out-patient, and the results were satisfactory. I would have preferred both to be out-patient, though, and am now trying to figure out how to pay a substantial bill from the hospital. Follow-up visits were quick - maybe a bit too quick - and I do think I was declared "healed" a couple of weeks prematurely. But overall, my experience with Dr. Weiss was postitive. I was a bit put out by his finance person, though. She was quite pushy, which doesn't set well with me. I was scheduled for Inguinal Hernia surgery in January but was cancelled due to Covid patients being transferred from St Joe's to Crouse Irving and Med/Surg patients were transferred from Crouse Irving to St Joe's. Several days later I had to be admitted via the Emergency Room as the hernia was in danger of strangulating. I wound up having robotic surgery at 9pm and I thank Dr Weiss and staff for their outstanding service.

Absolutely awful. Had a great procedure, was healing nicely with minimal pain. Had an appointment with Dr. Weiss and he treated the gauze in my open wound like it was a piece of gum stuck under a table. Unprofessional and rude nurses on the phone assume you know nothing about your own health. This doctor caused an infection in my surgical wound and I refuse to go back Absolutely awful. have not had a piolintal cyst in 6 years thanks to this man. I unfortunately went to a idiot in Oneonta to remove a cyst that did the surgery incorrectly. As a result the site became infected and the infection spread causing multiple cysts. Thanks to Dr Weiss save my life and I have been healed and cyst free for six years. Never have I been to a doctor as informative and patient as Dr. Weiss. He spent a lot of time with me explaining every detail of my upcoming hernia surgery and a separate issue of concern. Where most doctors tend to answer questions quickly and vaguely, Dr. Weiss explains everything in as much detail as possible without ever seeming annoyed or in a rush. I also would like to mention his staff was absolutely top notch, I’ve never been more impressed with a support staff in a medical office before

About 3 years ago I had to be rushed to the ER for stabbing chest and stomach pain ( St. Joes ) after hrs of test they told me I would have to go into surjery right away for removal of my gullbladder , I talked to the doctor about my insurance because it had lapsed for a month but would be good by the beginning of the next month...doctor told me I'd be fine because Medicaid will back pay 3 months..lies!!! after the surgery I had to go to a follow up appointment at the surgeons office..they told me I NEEDED THE APPOINTMENT... Once I got there everyone in the office was rude the lady at the desk asked me if I had any money to put down that day..I explained the situation 10 times finally I seen the good ol surgeon who was also rude barely did anything sent me on my way nailed the hole in the coffen with another couple hundred dollars worth of charges for a legit 3 min appointment! I tried calling several times to talk to someone about the fact that medicaid was not working with me on the bill and they waited until the 3 month mark was up to basically say screw you pay the 6,000 dollar bill...I had just turned 20 at the time! This man even went as far as to serve me with papers!! Worst experience and effed up my credit...thanks for caring about your patients well being and not being all about the money...NOT. Dr.Weiss was very caring. My gallbladder was loaded with stones & I couldn't eat ANYTHING without throwing up. My insurance wasn't going to have my gallbladder removed because they labeled it as "an elective surgery" but Dr. Weiss fought with them, made it happen and saved my life bc I found it was on the verge of bursting. My insurance wasn't going to have my gallbladder removed because they labeled it as "an elective surgery" but Dr. Weiss fought with them, made it happen and saved my life bc I found it was on the verge of bursting. I was nervous after being told I might need same day surgery by urgent care, when I arrived the waiting room was pleasant enough. But I was then taken to what essentially amounted to a closet. There where operating scissors, knives and all sorts of bandages everywhere. I was forced to wait there for thirty minutes when the Doctor came in and man-handled my infected arm. Told me to relax, it shouldn't hurt. I was over reacting... Needless to say, I won't be going back. EVER.

He was caring and explained all aspects of the surgery to us (patient was my 18 yr old son). Had a great bedside manner.

Personable. He took the time to talk to me, the patient, as soon as I arrived at the hospital. He also chatted with me right before surgery. I guess he understands that many patients are nervous before surgery and acts accordingly to soothe any of their nerves. My wife called and left a message seeking clarification on post surgery care. Dr Weiss personally returned the call. His actions shows he is the ideal surgeon to work with.
