No wait time. Everyone was pleasant, thorough and not rushed. Very pleased with my visit.

Had cataract surgeries and experienced quick healing and much better vision. Glad I had done. Everyone here is excellent very efficient; and Doctors are very knowledgeable and so courteous. . And now Mary just scheduled laser for scar tissue. She was so thorough in explainingprocedures; and patient in finding me times for appointments. Thanks I highly recommend. This was my first visit and I go back in 2wks for follow up . The Dr . was friendly as well as staff.

Dr. Weinstock, without a doubt one of the best I have ever met

Dr. Weinstock is a friendly guy who exudes knowledge. Though he is a surgeon, he does not "push" surgery; but works to find the best current remedy for the patient. I will go back and I will suggest to my wife that she seek his care too...though she rarely listens to m.

My wife and I just had an appointment at the eye Institute of West Florida and met with the ophthalmologist Dr. Robert Weinstock. The moment we entered the premises er were warmly greeted by an attendant who opened the door and wished us a good day. We stood in line not longer than one minute in order to register and present our medical insurance information. Within 10 minutes of being seated we were called into the office and were greeted by a clinical technician who tested our eyes. After we both completed this initial examination Dr. Weinstock came in and gave us a thorough eye examination. Dr. Weinstock is extremely talented and is world known for his procedures in ophthalmology. His bedside manner makes inter communication very understandable. The entire experience was over the top. We are incredibly pleased to recommend the institute of West Florida to anyone with any eye issues. If you have any questions we are open to discuss them.

From the moment we walked in the front doors, we were cheerfully greeted in the lobby, we conducted our paperwork with a very warm friendly receptionist and were seated to await the exam. As first time eye patients, it was a bit intimidating, but eye technicians and staff were so warm and friendly. My appointment with Doctor Weinstock was a pleasant and informative. We left feeling we were in very good hands this relieved my stress. Jenny was efficient and professional in answering questions and scheduling future appointments, procedures, and surgeries. So very glad our eye care will be handled by a quality medical facility.

Dr. Weinstock was great. He did a wonderful job in explaining things even though I primarily speak Spanish. The staff there was wonderful, especially Daniela who was my primary translator. Everyone was very patient and worked very hard to make sure that I understood everything!!!

Dr Weinstock was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He knew right away what was causing my back problems. The staff was friendly and the facilities were extra clean!

I was referred by my insurance company to get a cataract removal done and I'm reviewing the service I got and making the appointment for the operation went perfectly everybody was very kind and helpful and I'm set up for the next couple of months to take have the operation and at peace with it

As an airline pilot for 21 years I need my eyes to function flawlessly. I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone but Dr. Weinstock and his great crew at The Eye Institute of West Florida. When I noticed a hazy glaze start to impair my vision I knew I had to take action quickly to resolve the problem or risk losing my career. After receiving the cataract diagnosis from another doctor I began a month-long research project to gather all the information I could on doctors, facilities, and the latest technology in lenses. My research led me to Dr. Weinstock and the Eye Institute of West Florida. My choice in technology was a product recently approved by the FDA, the ALCON Vivity lenses. My surgery went well. I now see 20/20 across the mid-range and distant spectrum without glasses. I only wear “cheaters” for extended periods of reading and writing. I found Dr. Weinstock to be a true professional and a leader in his field. His facility is state of the art, and his staff of eye care professionals are courteous, very helpful, and seem to enjoy their working environment. My husband and I decided to go to The Eye Institute and to Dr Weinstock to discuss if we were candidates to have lens replacement surgery. We were greeted at the door and got checked in right away. Super friendly staff! We only sat in waiting room for a few minutes before being called to go back. Dr. Weinstock is extremely nice and took time with us and made sure he answered all our questions. My vision is going down hill rapidly lately due to cataracts.I came in to have my cataracts looked at and to get advice on the best way to handle them. The result was I am now scheduled for cataract surgery, and looking forward to improved vision soon. Can't wait. Dr. Weinstock and staff are friendly but professional and I felt very well cared for there.

I was very impressed with each and every person I talked to. They were professional, courteous, friendly, and personable. I was being evaluated for cataract surgery. This involved a number of procedures with various equipment. While only my left eye was being considered, all procedures were done on both eyes. I was told what the procedure was, how long it would take, and was provided information on what was happening at each stage in the process. The technicians seemed well aware that patients are ignorant of what needs to be done and they took the time to provide calming information. All the people I interacted with (four primary and a couple of helpers) were very good. While few visits to a doctor's office are actually pleasant, this one was.

I’ve been a patient of The Eye Institute for years, and it was time to come in for a cataract evaluation. The experience was great from start to finish as always. I was impressed with everything they have done due to the pandemic to keep everyone safe - cleanliness, masking, social distancing, etc. All staff were extremely friendly and happy which you don't often see. That says a lot to me. The technicians were very educated and the flow was seamless. Dr. Weinstock was very friendly and took the time to listen to my personal desires. From there suggested a plan that he felt would provide me the best visual outcome for my lifestyle. He asked if his plan sounded good to me, I said absolutely, and he said "Okay then, let's do this Mary and help get you out of those glasses". The surgery and financial counselors were great and took the time to answer all my questions. There was minimal wait time and I walked out feeling so excited now that my procedure is scheduled.

I had a follow up appointment after having my cataracts removed and light enhancement treatments last year. My eyes are perfect. I wore glasses for 61 years.

Very professional.....Eye tech was fantastic, she informed me of all she was doing, very interested in my vision. Dr. Weinstock was extremely professional and explained what he would be doing and why. He also told me of my options and what to expect after sugery.......Very very happy and pleased

Very good experience. It was a smooth visit and the Dr took the time to answer all our questions. He was kind and very warm with his responds and we highly recommend him.

After my exam I was told to wait in the waiting area for them to call me to set up my YAG. It was taking way too long waiting and I was getting frustrated. The doctor stepped out into the waiting area. He noticed 2 of us had been waiting a long time and he stepped in and immediately got my appointment. I am impressed with his action. This tells me he cares for his patients. Highly recommend Dr. Weinstock.

I absolutely love going to this eye doctor and surgeon. Extremely friendly professional staff; so knowledgeable. Dr. Robert Weinstock is very talented but doesn't recommend surgery unless necessary. He gives me wonderful feedback after my examination and confidence. I highly recommend him.

He has the expertise and experience and a state of the art facility and equipment. They follow all the CDC guide lines and protocols and have professional and courteous support staff.

It is a super clean place and the staff are professional and friendly. The doctor took his time to explain the procedure and emphasized how much better then lens would be. This prompted me to seriously commit to the lens until I found out through the counselor, that my insurance would not pay for it. I had no idea it was extra from what the doctor had told me. Four thousand extra for one eye. I think it would have been less of a shocker if he would have said that in his consultation and then I would have not had my hopes up.

NO!!! Don’t go to this office, or this doctor! Run! My wife had cataract surgery in September 2020, they told her that our insurance only covered 1 eye and she would need to take a loan with care credit to pay for the second eye! The insurance actually paid for BOTH eyes and now we are still stuck paying care credit for the second eye! If you go here do not pay for anything in advance, wait to see what the insurance covers first! I think these guys are crooks and should be locked up, my advice is to run far, far away!!! We have notified the Florida Attorney Generals office too and still no action. We are just screwed! RUN RUN RUN!

As a senior with minimal experience with eye doctors, I was really afraid to face my first cataract appointment. I was blessed to have chosen the Florida Eye Institute with Dr. Stephen Weinstock and his team. I was welcomed by Kelly, whose cheerful professionalism made me feel comfortable and relieved my anxiety as we worked through my eye exam. After my exam, I met Dr. Weinstock, who confirmed the need to remove the cataracts and with a positive professionalism explained the procedure, shared his previous experiences and offered to answer questions. What a promising confident experience! No one really wants to accept the discomforts of aging and face dealing with them but in the Florida Eye Institute there is a comfort, relief of anxiety, confidence and trust in the outcome of eye problems.

Dr. Weinstock has done a great job on both my eyes. I have had 2 implants with one being the result of a cataract. He has great people working for/with him and I can only highly recommend him. The only complaint I would have was the actual scheduling of the surgery. You don't know the actual time of surgery until the day before and it could make it very difficult to schedule transportation to and from the surgery since they won't let you Uber or Lyft. Other than that, they are great doctors and provide a great service

Everyone was professional and very efficient and everyone was smiling! My questions were answered and my fears were alleviated. Everyone talked to me, not at me!

I am so happy with the whole team @ The Eye Institute of West Florida! From initial visit, to pre-op exam/visit, to day of sx (check in, anesthesiologist, RNs, post op, etc), to checking in the day after surgery. Everyone took the appopriate precautions (in this Covid era) during all my visits and on the day(s) of surgery made sure I had no concerns and was comfortable. They have set the bar so high that I now feel like I need to find this kind of care with all my doctors/specialists. Absolutely recommend!!

With the extra precautions and care this facility provides, I had a total of nine different medical and clerical staff work with me. Each were professional, courteous people - ensuring I understood each step. Absolutely no concerns about wholeheartedly recommending West Bay Eye Institute.

Taking off one star for their billing department who called me today after I had surgery on Tuesday to collect what I owed, and then did not ask, but went ahead and charged me for next week’s surgery, saying they had to “order” the lens which is a lie, the dr told me they had all lens’s in house and if I changed my mind the day of surgery it was not a problem. Who has $7000 they can just pay?? She did not offer any other options. Very disappointing for an otherwise stellar practice. It has put me in a financial bind and is the only Doctor’s office I have ever been to that put the money before the patient.

I very happy with Dr. R Weinstock . He was very personable and made feel comfortable and assured me there wasn't anything to be afraid of concerning my surgery. I am very satisfied with my experience at the Eye Institute. I went to the Clearwater location initially and following my exam Dr. Robert Weinstock told me that I qualified for cataract surgery. This was expected because pre-Covid I had been examined in my former home state and was told the same, but Covid hit before I could proceed. The surgery and follow ups were done in Largo. I qualified and agreed to be part of a trial. Everyone was so nice and I felt they took good care of me. Dr. Weinstock’s clinical research manager is very warm and personable. She explained everything clearly. I went with the laser surgery and corrective lenses for distance. I am so happy! My vision is sharp, colors are bright, and I only need “cheaters” for reading. I had avoided driving at night for a number of years, but over the last year I was having issues driving during the day when I needed to read signs. I am now back on the road and am confident!

Great doctor. Went for a second opinion and couldn't have been happier for it. Surgery went well and no longer in need of glasses is the best part.
