About Dr. Robert G Schwartz
Reviews for Dr. Robert G Schwartz
He’s a quack and I believe he’s running some kind of insurance scam. My insurance always covered everything fully, except for my copayment, until I withdrew from his practice as a patient. Then, all of a sudden, I got a bill for hundreds of dollars that I did not/do not have, and he’ll never get. As for being a quack, he did lots and lots of prolotherapy injections without ever giving a diagnosis and was always defensive and vague when I pressed him for a diagnosis. He did weird tests where i had to stand unclothed for a long period of time, but was never told of any results or diagnosis arising from it. He also claimed that i have a defective brain stem, saying that it was a birth defect, with absolutely no diagnostic tests or imaging to back up that claim. Also, he never discussed the implications of it. He also made me lie down in the nasty floor of the exam room and do ridiculous things like touch my ear, touch my nose, etc. I’m glad I left the practice; only wish i had wasted less time, money, and energy pursuing treatment there. Other doctors have told me that he’sa quack. He’s a quack and I believe he’s running some kind of insurance scam. I am really happy Dr. Schwartz is still practicing. I had seen him several years for a pulled muscle in my back. He really helped me with the prolotherapy. I recently hurt my knee hiking. I got an appointment right after the holidays and feeling optimistic.
Great experiance at this office. I have had severe headaches for sometime and Dr. Schwartz has really helped with that.
After looking for a doctor to listen to me, I finally found Dr. Schwartz. I have numerous issues from my fibromyalgia, and he can really help me. He also connected me to some other patients who have fibromyalgia. Happy to have found himto help me deal with this.
Very good experience seeing Dr. Schwartz. I was glad I was able to see him. I recently moved to Greenville and needed to find a doctor who can help me manage my Fibromyaltia.
I was in an auto accident and my attorney referred me to see Dr. Schwartz. I was pretty beat up but nothing broken. After several appointments with the help of Dr. Schwartz I was able to get by body almost better. Time heals.
A rip off.. spent thousands of dollars for treatment of neuropathy. Dr. did stem cells-prolotherapy & a ton of. exams, I received NO results from treatment. The Dr. appeared to have an attitude simply doing business as usual. Atotal waste of money.
Pain is not very tolerable. I have had low back pain for at least 6 months and I found Piedmont Physical Medicine. After some visits with the doctors here I have learned how to manage my pain.
I have been a patient of Dr. Schwartz for many years. He has helped me as well as my family for various issues. He always has the right thing to say and help with my pain. I appreciate that he does not force opioids on me.
Rude and judgmental. He made personal remarks about me to me that were unprofessional. If you have been prescribed an opioid pain medication in the past for chronic pain from multiple spine issues and surgeries then he has disdain for you. No compassion and offered no help. Feeling really fortunate to finally find a doctor who listens to me. Dr. Schwartz is really a great practioner and I know with time my aches and pains will be healed.
Loud music playing. He exposed me while doing test. I asked questions that he has yet to answer. Wanted me to by his wife’s supplements. Awful bedside manner. Red flags everywhere. And I’m a retired LPN.
I read his reviews - after seeing him unfortunately. He takes issues with patients who leave poor reviews as if they may not be real patients. They wrote lengthy specific accounts of their terrible interactions with him. Interestingly, the 5 star reviews from years ago are all short and non-specific "its all good" type reviews. Makes me wonder if these are the fake reviews. I read the reviews about patients who described having to be in their underwear during and after his "exam". I too was made to undress for a limited type neuro exam that did not require absence of all clothes. Then Dr Schwartz proceeded to launch into a discussion of my case and "dressing down" while I was literally dressed down. It was humiliating. He blamed me for my pain and my "choices" as if I had any. I was always directed to therapy by a physician - usually my primary one. I have never had a Doctor talk to me the way he did in a demeaning way. He has no business being a Doctor. I read his reviews - after seeing him unfortunately. I must say I had high hopes for this visit with Dr. Schwartz due to the positive reviews. Now I am wondering if they are fake. This was by far the worst doctors visit I have experienced in 40 years. To begin with when he entered the room he didn't acknowledge my husband (the patient) or myself - instead he walked across the room to a chair and proceeded to look at the chart. While doing so he did speak, apologizing for the inordinate amount of wait time but still not looking at either of us. The visit went downhill from there. Dr. Schwartz was extremely condescending and had obviously prejudged my husband and his case prior to laying eyes or a hand on him. He spoke to us as if all we were looking for were drugs. In fact what we were looking for was someone who cared and was willing to help my husband get relief from the agonizing pain he lives with day in and day out. Dr. Schwartz is not that person. He was rude, didn't explain anything, did not listen to anything said, kept stating they did not deal in opioids etc. even though we never requested any. It seemed to anger Dr. Schwartz that my husband had previously been in pain management and he wanted to take it out on us. He could have cared less nor would he be able to ever help anyone dealing with pain. If you are looking for someone to help you deal with pain or better yet relieve you of pain this guy isn't it. Dr. Schwartz has no tact and no compassion as a doctor. I must say I had high hopes for this visit with Dr. Schwartz due to the positive reviews. Now I am wondering if they are fake. I have periphial neuropathy. The medicine another gave me does not seem to work. I recently started on a laser program at Dr. Schwartz's office. After 3 treatments my feet really feel better. I will keep thes going as I know it is improving my health.
I finally found the right fit for a doctor. Dr. Schwartz has diagnosed me with periphial neurapathy. He has put me on a laser program which I do at the office 2x a week. After 2 weeks ( 4 sessions) I am starting to feel a bit of relief. I am happy to have found Dr. Schwartz and this practice.
Arrogant jerk. Does not care about you, the patient. Spends all his time blaming you for your pain problem. You made poor choices bu going to pain management or a surgeon instead of to him - the holistic guy. Wait time 1 1/2 hours.
After a biking accident I had hurt my shoulder. I came to see Dr. Schwartz after reading about him and hi spractice on Social Media. I had torn some ligaments. I thought I would need surgery however after so me Prolotherapy and a PRP injection I am good as new and so is my golf game.
I am so happy I found Dr. Schwartz. I was diagnosed with fibromyaltia and he has really helped me. I have other things going on but I feel like I have more energy and not as fatigued. He really takes the time to treat the source.
I am very pleased with the treatment plan Dr. Schwartz has given me for my ankle. While I still have to be careful it is almost back to new. Thanks Dr. Schwartz
So happy I was able to get my knee fixed during this crazy time. Dr. Schwartz helped me out alot with the right injections and exercises. I really prefer the regenerative route and I am a happy camper now
My knees were really bad. After Dr. Schwartz injected my knees with my own fat they are great. In fact better then ever...Thanks so much
Dr. Schwartz is the FIRST Doctor after nearly twenty years to have answers!! I am truly, truly grateful! And VERY grateful for his patience.
I had a really good experience at Piedmont Physical Medicine. The staff was very courteous and got me in an exam room quickly. Dr. Schwartz was very patient with my issues and we came up with a plan. I am happy that he was able to spend time with me.
As a long standing patient with Dr. SChwartz, I am so pleased he is still in practice during this world crisis. While I do not need to see him often anymore, I am thankful he is there when I need him.
I suffer from acute back pain. I recently moved to Greenville SC and was introduced to Piedmont Physical Medicine. They have such a great approach to treating pain without shoving pills at you. It took me months to find the right practice and glad I came here.
In my opinion, I witnessed Dr. Robert Schwartz's superiority complex and poor quality care to one of his patients. He demonstrated that he's disorganized and doesn't follow the objective of follow-up appointments or patient inquiries. He spent majority of the appointment disengaged as he filled out "Obamacare paperwork." In my experience, he showed a lack of professionalism when he haughtily answered simple questions about diagnoses and lab results. For some reason, Dr. Schwartz didn't review his patient's test results that were received during the appointment and didn't review the multiple ultrasounds taken in his office. His tight lip attitude and mumbling gave the impression he's not knowledgeable in his specialty and may perceive his patient as incapable to understand the information. His negative disposition and his persistent recommendation for homeopathic injections(without reviewing patient's blood work and medical history) has led me to neither trust nor recommend Dr. Robert G. Schwartz. PS It wouldn't be surprising if his medical ethics improve with patients in his racial and/or gender demographics. After a accident this past winter I had hurt my hip. Dr. Schwartz has been very good finding out the issue and how to treat it. I have had shots of prolotherapy and they really seem to work. Beats surgery.
Such a crazy time and we am so thankful both my husband and myself can see Dr. Schwartz. I am very impressed how clean everything is. He has helped us for years with different muscle aches and he always gets us better. Thank you for being there for us
As a new patient I am totally confident that I have come to the right place to be treated for my roen ligament in my knee. I really did not want surgery, and Dr. Schwartz has the perfect treatment for me.
I would rather go anywhere else, made an appointment for a ultrasound, after an hour, they say I need a ultrasound, I said that's what I made the appointment for, he said I don't know you. you'll have to reschedule an appointment. $160.00 down the drain. What a waste of time and money. If you have a problem, go see a real doctor that's not trying to sell his wife's vitamin pills.
Had an some injections for prolo therapy in my elbow. Wow. Within a few days after the first shot I was already feeling some relief. Had 2 more within a 6 week period and I am as good as new. Dr. Schwartz is a miracle worker.
I call his office to make appintment. An that I have Medicare insurance advantage. She said that don't accpet anyone with Medicare or Medicaid insurance. I explained that I'm a polio survivor and that I had find him on polo.org.( statewide icon This state icon indicates services that are provided statewide. Free low cost Services for uninsured, Medicaid patients, or those with limited income are marked with this icon.) How would his office deny anyone with that kind of insurance, that needed a Dr that has experinece and knowledge polio/post polio syndrome patients. That's insurance-based discrimination and its association with insurance type.
After seeing several doctors for chronic back pain, I stumbled upon Dr Schwartz. He really is the right doctor for me to see. He does not just help mask the pain, he treats you. I highly recommend him.
I have Periphial Neuropathy. I was referred to Dr. Schwartz from a cousin who sees him as a patient. I am so happy I started on the Realief laser therapy program. After 3 treatments I feel great.
What a great practice. I needed to see Dr. Schwartz over the holidays for my back pain. He was out so fortunatley I was able to see the other Dr. in the practice. Saved!!! Glad they could accomodate me and get me better so I could enjoy the holidays.
I have been a patient of Dr.Schwartz for a few years. I see him when i need him to help fix me. Recently I needed to see him and I did not have an appointment. I knew he would be busy since he had been out for the holidays. I was so thankful that he was able to get me in and treat me.. So blessed.
Dr. Schwartz is probably the most knowledgable doctor I have seen in years. He tells it like it is. He treats me and my symptons not just masking them. I highly recommend him.
My grandmother recommended Dr. Schwartz to me. I have had severe back pain for years and she was a patient of his for a bit. With proper exercises and some pro therapy I am doing great.
I really do not like going to see a doctor. After my visit with Dr. Schwartz was was more at ease. He made me feel comfortable and worked with me on my pain. While doctor appointments are still not my thing, I do look forward to my appointments with Dr. Schwartz because he actually cures me.
Dr. Schwartz has been a great addition to my healing process. My knee had been so bad and he really helped me get it better. I highly recommend him.
I visited his office with numbness in my feet He was able to diagnose in short order and treat me
Really appreciate the time and energy Dr. Schwartz gives me. Some doctors I have been to give me 10 minutes and I am out the door. I feel like Dr. Schwartz does want to help me so he sinceley gives me that additional time to treat my issues.
I was diagnosed with Periphial Neuropathy. I do not want to rely on the medications my internist has put me on. I found the Realief program at Dr. Schwartz's office. After 3 treatments the pain in my feet and legs has subsided significantly. Leaning toward getting of the meds now.
I have chronic pain in my shoulder and neck area. At times it gives me a bad headache. I was referred to Dr. Schwartz from my friend. He has helped me tremendously.
So glad I was on the cancellation list to see Dr. Schwartz. My appointment wasn't unil end of the month and I received a call to come in. I am on the road to recovery.
I reecently saw Dr. Schwartz for back pain. I wanted to go to a specialist so he could see what exactly is going on. The guy is brilliant. With some exercises and a few prolo therapy injections I am feeling much better.
He is rude and in a hurry! The other Dr was 100× better. Dr Schwartz gets an F from me!
My wife has suffered from fibromyalgia and dystonia for 8 years now. We have finally found effective treatment. In desperation in 2012, however, we visited with Schwartz. He informed my wife, and I kid you not, that the sudden onset of her condition (dystonia, she was already diagnosed with the fibro) was the result of her walking at an early age. Her neural pathways had not fully formed because she did not crawl long enough says Schwartz. While in an examination room my wife had a mild dystonic 'storm'. Her hands would clench and unclench spasmodically. Her fingers would splay and twist as her muscles contracted and seized painfully. (look up dystonia) Schwartz grabbed her fingers and forcibly tried to control them. When I told him that exacerbated it he told me I was an "empathetic enabler". He also thought a course of treatment should involve exercises that mimic a baby crawling to, you guessed it, rebuild her neural pathways. Oh yeah, this should be done in bra and underwear in front of him. It was insulting and demeaning. He was like a used car salesman. If we asked a question he would tell us to buy his book and enroll in his online class. If he's helped anyone with any method good, but looking back years later I mostly remember his lack of listening, his seeming lack of caring, and the utter desperation that drove us to give Schwartz a try in the first place. Our experience mirrors the other two one star reviews. Schwartz is a quack in my esteem. A stylized hack and no more. Avoid at all costs. Dr. Terzella is the best!! He really connects to his patients, listens to you, and know there path to take. He is above and beyond. Very few times in my life have i come across a really special Doctor..... He is it.
I've had the pleasure of being one of Dr Schwartz's patients for about a year now. I was lucky enough to meet him at the CRPS convention in Charlotte. I can't say enough good things about him; I've been pain free or very minor pain levels after only a couple of treatments and I have been improving ever since. His unique approach to medicine has allowed me to get off ALL prescription medication and live pain free for the most part. If you are suffering from chronic pain in your arms/legs/back, I recommend giving Dr Schwartz's office a call and schedule an appointment. It really only takes 1 great doctor to turn things around! Had an accident recently and my aunt referred me to see Dr. Schwartz. It turned out I twisted my ankle and tore a ligament. I so far have had 2 treatments of prolotherapy and what a difference. It is 80 percent better.
After a recent fall I was recommended to see Dr. Schwartz. I come to find out that i have torn a ligament in my ankle. I had several prolotherapy injections and I finally feel the strength coming back. I never really knew about this process but it really works.
I am truly pleased with my progress after seeing Dr. Schwartz for the past few weeks. I drive in from Florida as there is not a doctor who can give me the care and treatments that Dr. Schwartz has. Living with fibromyalgia is not fun but I have learned many things from this practice so I can manage it.
Dr. Schwartz is very thorough and knowledgeable. He is the best doctor I have seen in years. He really tries to get to the main problem. He has helped my back pain tremendously.
Dr. Schwartz took the time to go over every detail, actually took time to listen to me, came up with a plan to try and get better results. I feel confident I am at the right place.
Dr. Schwartz takes his time with me and does not rush through the appointment. His communication is excellent.
Grateful to have found Dr. Schwartz and wonderful staff. I really feel welcome at this office and the all go the extra mile. Dr. Schwartz has helped me with my fibromyalgia and i am so happy and feeling good.
After seeing several doctors to help me with the multiple health issues I have, I found Dr. Schwartz on the internet. He has been able to pin point the root cause. I think the world of him. It is comforting to know there is someone who can finally help me.
I have chronic headaches. I was referred to Piedmont Physical Medicine by a friend. I wasn't sure what they could do however, I found that my headaches are coming from my neck. I will be treated on my neck. So far all good.
I am totally impressed with the quality of care at this office. Dr Schwartz spent a lot of time with me today reviewing my history. I am pleased with my first appointment and I know I made the right decision.
Very pleased I got a call in as there was a cancellation. I am a new patient and my original appointment wasn't until December. I was thrilled to go in today and Dr Schwartz can help my bad knee.
I saw Dr. Schwartz several years ago. He really helped me with my back issues. I recently returned for some shoulder problems. He is really fantastic. A true healer.
I recently took my son to see Dr. Schwartz for a sports injury. He is a high school tennis player and has been having elbow problems. Dr. Schwartz started prolotherapy on him and my son is back on the courts.

Dr. Schwartz has helped me with my knee pain. I really did not want to have surgery and he had done stem cell on both my knees. I am so pleased with the outcome.
After searching for the right practitioner to take care of my mother, I stumbled upon Dr. Schwartz with Piedmont Physical Medicine. He is an expert with Fibromyalgia and I am so pleased that he is taking good care of my mom.
I really do not like having to go to the doctors however after visiting Dr. Schwartz I felt really comfortable with the him and the staff. They made my visit much better.
Great doctor. Dr. Schwartz really shows that he is interested in helping me. He spent 20 minutes listening to me before he even examined me. Not too many doctors out there like that today.
Great Dr. Great Office...Nice Staff...Happy to have found this place .
i did not like the way they do not tell you before you get there that there is a 200 dollar new patient fee. then they say they accept bc bs insurance then charge you full price and expect you to get the money from them later. their billing is a scam stay away. on a positive note he did help me and i got better. i did not like the way they do not tell you before you get there that there is a 200 dollar new patient fee. then they say they accept bc bs insurance then charge you full price and expect you to get the money from them later. their billing … More

His bedside manners are lacking. My mother repeatedly told him she was hard of hearing, and he still refused to look at or even face her when speaking to her. She also all but begged him to test her for Lyme, and all he would say is that she didn't have Lyme, but fibro and early signs of dementia. Well, guess what, she has since tested positive for Lyme, and unfortunately he is one of the few Dr's who "treat" Lyme. Shame on him for letting her suffer for years now!
I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Schwartz and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.

I really enjoy going to this office for Treatment. From the staff to the doctor, everyone is so friendly.
I have been to see Dr. Schwartz for prolo therapy and after a period of time we both realized stem cell may be the answer. I am happy I went that route as I am very active.
I have had a positive experience with Dr. Schwartz and prolotherapy injections. They helped me get rid of chronic joint pain.
After my friend told me about her great experience with Dr. Schwartz I decided to go see him for my bad knee. I am happy I made that choice.
I have had really bad headaches lately. It is probably sinus. I was seeing Dr. Schwartz for a bum knee and he was able to help me with my headache as well.
