Dr Schubert is great easy to talk to and thorough. He makes sure I'm keeping up with my "regular maintenance" and helps me stay on track for overall better health!

My husband was unfortunately a patient of this doctor. My husband came down with Covid, the sickest I’ve ever seen him. I called this doctor’s office and explained I was put on an antibiotic AND steroid when I came down with Covid and recovered quickly. I implored this doctor to please prescribe at least a steroid for my husband (who is never sick) only to be told nope this doctor doesn’t prescribe steroids for Covid, had I not gotten my husband into MY PCP (who thank God) is not this pathetic doctor, he wouldn’t have recovered from Covid. He was put on Zpack AND a prednisone taper, he’s now on the upswing. I shutter to think where my husband would be today had a reputable doctor not stepped in. I don’t know what this man’s excuse is other than he obviously is not staying abreast of peer reviewed research into Covid. Had my husband gone this doctor’s route, I have no doubt my husband would be in a Covid unit in some hospital. I have NOTHING positive to say. Dr Schubert has been my doctor for almost 30 years. He is the most compassionate and diligent doctor around. He reminds you of old school doctor who knows his patients by name and knows about their family. He genuinely cares about you and your needs. If he ever relocated I would follow him so he could continue to be my doctor

Dr. Schubert takes his time and gets to know you as a person, not just a patient. He is caring and thorough and listens carefully. He has cared for my adult children and my husband and I for many years now, and we could not ask for better physician!

The best doctor I have ever had in my life. Listens and takes the time to help.

Dr Schubert is great! He takes the time to study your history, and get involved with your problems.

Dr. Schubert is one of the best doctors I've ever known. He is compassionate and caring. He listens to what you have to say and helps you decide what is important for your health. He is human and makes you feel like you can succeed no matter what your barriers may be. My family and I would be lost without him.

Kind and caring, Dr. Schubert is intelligent, patient, and compassionate. He’s also one fine doctor! I feel very fortunate to have found him.

I have been going to Dr Robert W. Schubert for about 8 years and he is by far the best primary care doctor I've ever had. He is very compassionate and knowledgeable and takes his time with you. I am extremely glad to see he is back practicing in Joliet. I did not care fore DMG.

I wish I could give Dr Schubert 10 stars for the way he takes care of his patients. He is caring, compassionate, thoughtful, takes time with his patients and doesn't make you feel rushed when you have a problem and doesn't hesitate to refer you to other good doctors when you need a specialist for something. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years and wouldn't think of changing doctors ever.

My first interaction with Dr. Schubert was pleasant. I definitely would recommend him. Dr. Schubert is kind and shows he genuinely cares for his patients well being. I wish I can say the same for his administrative staff. Rude reception and an extremely long waiting period is what you will encounter at 301 N. Madison. Dr. Schubert rates five stars but his administrative staff at this location rates a zero.

Dr. Schubert has a new address: 301 N. Madison St. Suite 260 Joliet, IL 60435 He has been my Primary Dr. for over 15 years and has been an exceptionally good doctor. He is caring, honest, and takes time to answer all questions.

I have searched the area for a physician with a great degree of compassion and understanding. Like a beacon of light, I was told about the good doctor by a friend. So far, I have nothing but good thing's to say, I'm happy to report!

I've been going to Dr. Robert W. Schubert for several years. He is the best doctor I have ever been to. The problem is DuPage Medical Group who is not allowing their doctors to work out of St. Joseph hospital. The doctors who really care about their patients, are getting fed up. It's really sad when we have to worry about our healthcare by the system telling the doctors what they can and cannot do. Stay away from DPMG because more and more doctors are leaving. I have been with Dr. R. W. Schubert for 20 years. I think that DMG did not like the time Dr. Schubert spent with his patients. DMG wanted him to see more patients each day and that's not the way he does business. I am too old to be looking for a new physician so I am patiently waiting till he has a new office.

Dr. R W Schubert has been my primary care doctor for several years. I always found dr. Schubert to be Personable, knowledgeable, patient, kind and with a sense of humor. Dr R.W.Shubert has been my Dr. for about 20 years. He has has saved my life and been a friend as well as. An excellent physician! Dr Schubert is one of the best internal medicine doctors I've ever had. From a nurse perspective, he and his staff provide excellent medical care! They are prompt, courteous, and very professional. Thank you so much!

I spoke to dr Schubert today through text and he said he will be opening up in a few weeks with Presense medical group.

I have spoken to Dr SCHUBERT as recently as late last week and he has found a practice to join and he said it will take a few weeks to iron out contractual issues. He said three weeks at the most. He didn't tell me I could pass along which practice he is joining. He added that he's seeing patients at the Madison clinic on Mondays on a very casual basis. I know nothing about this clinic or of its existence. He added that announcements will be in the Herald News and on FaceBook. That's all I got!

Folks, this is more of a notice to those Dr. Schubert fans. I was at my ENT today who originally referred me to Dr. RW and while I was there one of the nurses put her ear to the ground and returned to the patient room with a note that said, "according to my sources RW will be opening up his own office in approximately 2 weeks, no longer than 3". She also advised to check the newspaper which should contain more information. I wish I knew a better way of passing this info along but hope it helps

Dr Schubert has been my doctor since he joined Optima. If anyone knows where he is practicing medicine, please post the info. I am sure he hated DMG as much as I do.

Dupage Medical lost the best internist in Joliet, bar none. Have known him for years since when I worked Home Health. He has been my husband's doctor for many years, and I credit him with saving his life a few years ago. He is kind, compassionate, extremely knowledgable, and truly cares about each and everyone of his patients. Dupage, however, only cares about making money, not the patient, continuity of care or even patient confidentiality.

I too hope we find out where/when he's moved to. We hope he's ok. However, we never received a notice that he left. Dr. RW always did what was right for his patients. My wife and I will most certainly follow. I'm concerned with how DMG is handling his patients' continuum of care though. I'm sure many patients still have prescriptions and health concerns that need to be managed. DMG does not have patients' best interests in mind. Just making cash and patient volume.

I am also waiting to find out before I change Dr's I have been with Dr S since I moved to Illinois in 1996 and have been very happy with him. I do not I will want a Dr with Dupage Med Group if I can help it though. Since the change I have seen a lot of changes with the service received as in delays in renewing Rx's, always making referrals to another DMG Dr instead of one they feel would be best for you. My issue is with DMG and NOT Dr Schubert, I hope he is OK and will continue practicing.

We were also shocked to hear Dr. Robert W Schubert left. We are also hoping we will find him at another practice. We loved him as our doctor and would love to have him back!!!! Please let us know if anyone has news or does find him. Thank you in advance!

I have been a patient of Dr. schubert for years and was very upset when Dupage Medical Group called to reschedule my appointment because he had left the group. I do not want another doctor so am not going to do that as I would follow Dr. Schubert anywhere. Hope we find out soon where he is going to end up.

We love Dr. RW Schubert! My appointment was just cancelled and office stated they don't know where he will practice. BCBS, SJMC, and Silver Cross are of no assistance. I'm sure we will be informed soon how to contact him for scheduling. He was the only reason we stayed with Optima/DuPage Medical.

I received a letter stating that Dr. Schubert was no longer associated with the DuPage Medical Group. I am so devastated and shocked. Dr. Schubert has been my doctor for a long time and he is the best there is. I can't imagine having to go to another physician. I have always felt comfortable with him and knew that I was in good hands. I hope and pray that he continues to practice and will let us know where he is.

When making an appt today at DuPage Medical Grp on Essington Rd, I was shocked to learn that Dr Robert W Schubert is no longer there! (aka Optima Medical Assoc's) My husband & I have been going to Dr Schubert for close to 20 yrs & love his 'bedside manner'! The care & compassion he has for his patients is top notch!! This is very disappointing news!! If anyone knows where he has moved to plz do share! Thank You!!

Devastated to hear you've left the practice. PLEASE let us know where you are and what your plans are. Will follow you anywhere within reason! Both my husband and I have been patients for years and have recommended you to many others.

I absolutely love Dr. Schubert! Best Doctor I have ever seen! I hope he is still practicing in the area and that he will let us know where he is located now. Not happy with the Dupage Medical Group.
