Sadly after waiting 1.5 hours to see dr Royster the reception desk could still not tell me how much longer they could expect me to wait. So I had to leave. When a Dr. is running so late one would think the front desk would be better informed and take the initiative to let his patients know what’s going on. not a good sign!

I went in scared, my rotator cuff is torn and need surgery. Dr. Royster took a lot of time explaining all about it. He told me I would have a less recovery time than a Resurgeons Dr told me. Left his office feeling a lot better about surgery. I’m scheduling next week! Highly recommend him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Royster’s for 3 years. He has successfully replaced both of my knees and has treated my hands for the effects of aging/arthritis. Dr. Royster is highly experienced and extremely well-trained and well-prepared for dealing with his patient’s needs. He is an excellent surgeon, a wealth of knowledge and a good friend. He is a great man of faith and treats all his patients with great care and dignity.

Dr. Royster did both of my knee replacements. Both surgeries were excellently done and the after surgical care has also been tremendous! A fabulous doctor and surgeon and a wonderful man of God as well.

It is rare to say a doctor visit was pleasant but it was when I saw Dr. Royster! He was very gifted at calming fear and explaining what you would need! Highly recommend him and have many of my friends which is how I ended up there!

After being escorted to an examining room, I was very happy to see Dr. Royster knowing that he would resolve my problem. Having done my knee surgery previously and being very pleased with the results, I always trust his diagnosis and opinion. His professionalism and knowledge is remarkable. I love that he is a praying doctor and I thank God for him.

Dr Royster is amazing!! Yesterday was my first- ever orthopedic visit in my life so I was a bit anxious. He spent so much time examining my problem and explaining to me how to manage it and heal it. He gave me exercises to do at home and diagrams of what muscles were involved. He was warm, positive and encouraging! My sister who was with me was also amazed at his thoroughness and friendly manner. He answered all my questions and I felt very much more informed and hopeful when I left his office!

Dr Royster is great! This was my first visit for hip pain. I found him to be personable, professional insightful and knowledgeable. He spent time assessing my range of motion and strength and talked to me about what he was doing. I already feel some relief from the 2 shots and exercises he gave me. It’s too soon to know if this will resolve my issues, but I feel confident that if I need to see him again, he will find a solution to get me more relief. He’s a rare doctor and I am so glad I chose to see him.

I love that Dr. Royster takes the time to explain everything to you. He listened and asked questions to help resolve pain and discomfort following my total knee replacement. He assured me after a thorough examination that my TKR is perfect and the pain is from my IT Band. He told me the exercises I need to do to help the problem and explained why I am in pain. He really cares about his patients.

Dr. Royster is the best. He listened to my concerns about my hip. After reviewing the X-ray, I’m definitely going to need a replacement at some point. But I have important upcoming travel plans and having surgery at this point would make travel impossible. Dr. Royster made it a priority to come up with a treatment plan that would give me the relief that I need now (steroid shot), with the understanding that I can come back to request the surgery when it’s more convenient for me. He’s pleasant, non-condescending, and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

Love Dr Royster! My husband was referred to him by a co-worker for knee replacement. He took good care of my husband and explained everything! He seemed to really care! I recently had occasion to need his help after having back surgery (another group) that has left me in great pain for almost 8 months. Even though he isn’t a back surgeon, he is making all attempts to help me with my issues. He is wonderful!

Dr. Royster is a GENIUS. He knows a lot about a lot! But more than his knowledge and expertise of putting people back together again, he CARES. He cares deeply about his patients entire well being and he helps in anyway he can. He goes above and beyond the call of duty because his patients are his heart. There are many good docs. Only a few communicate well. Dr. Royster is a great doc and a fabulous communicator!

Dr. Marvin Royster has been my orthopedic doctor for over 20 years. He has performed multiple surgeries on me including arthroscopic on both knees and both shoulders plus bilateral knee replacement, and reverse right shoulder replacement--all successful!

Dr Royster performed a total replacement on my right knee May 2019. It was an outpatient procedure. Could not believe my ease of mobility within 2 days, had no real pain. It was a breeze. Dr Royster addresses and cares about your entire being, not just your failing joint. Can't recommend him highly enough...he is all around excellent!!

Dr. Royster and PA Christin Sams did a revision on the 7 year old knee replacement I had done in SC. The surgery ended up being far more extensive than any of us anticipated, resulting in a slower recovery time and a lot of questions and frustration from me. Dr. Royster took pictures of my knee during surgery (which he shared with us) so he could walk us through the problems he found once they started the surgery.
