Dr. Riley and his staff are kind and patient. It felt great to have a doctor take the time to answer my questions.

Dr Riley replacement of my aorta artery has kept me in good health for the last seven years. As far as I am concerned he is the best. Not only the top surgeon but took time to answer my question and correct me on my aassumptions.

17 years ago, while living in Gilbert, Dr. Riley performed an emergency triple bypass surgery on me. I have recently moved to Texas and through a series of tests need some work on repairing a valve. One of the tests was a doctor using a catheter to see if I might need any other work, besides repairing the valve, like another by pass. The doctor told my wife whoever did the original bypass did a pristine job. Front desk was nice and wait time was not long it all. Gina, who took me back to the exam room was very friendly. My interactions with the physicians assistant, the trainee were wonderful. I would give an A++ to Dr. Riley and his assistants Gina and Kayla. I was referred to Dr.Riley by my cardiologist Dr.Shah(also recommended) and I was very scared not knowing who to trust to perform my heart surgery. I rarely acknowledge online reviews as facts, so let me say- they get 5 stars all the way in every single aspect of care and surgery. Dr.Riley is an angel who went above and beyond what was scheduled to repair my mitral valve rather than replace it to add many more years to my life. I’m 39 years old now and am so grateful he helped me and no one else. The patients and secretaries at Honor Health heard me mention his name and I heard story after story about how great he is and was reassured I’m in good hands. Gina was the best always helping me right away. After surgery Kayla was so accommodating and did everything for me including calling in pain meds on a Sunday morning. Dr. Riley is a very down to earth and friendly surgeon. He's the first doctor I've had in 65 years who read my entire medical history before he walked into the room. He repaired an aneurysm and a bicuspid heart valve with complications very successfully. I highly recommend him.

I am alive today only because of the good doctor. Three years ago I was turned away by a major national hospital for surgery. They said the odds were very low for me, so I returned to Honor Health and there I met Doctor Riley. He said he thought he could help but it would not be a walk in the park and I might not make it through the surgery. I was in surgery for over eight hours. He did a triple bypass and put in a mitral valve. My cardiologist back home was amazed. Anyone reading this and questions Doctor Riley’s ability. Believe me. You are in the best hands God ever made. He is a no nonsense medical marvel. I thank God every day for bringing our paths together and I pray for the good Doctor. Thank you Doctor Riley.

Dr. Riley was amazing. He explained the surgery to me well I understood everything and he did an amazing job on my mitral valve repair. I had some complications not related to the surgery and he was constantly checking on me and making sure I had everything I needed. He was absolutely wonderful as well as his assistant Kayla

this is a doctor who has golden hands, I would never have believed that after the aortic valve replacement operation I had done, I would leave the hospital on the third day, and in a month I will go in for sports. I am 62 years old and two a half years old yes I had an operation ago now I am happy I have no restrictions I am completely healthy

Dr. Riley & his team are top notch! He replaced my biscuspid aortic heart valve with an Edwards Inspiris Resilia bovine tissue valve and gave me a 2nd chance at life! I will be forever grateful!! ❤️‍

Dr Riley is a highly rated surgeon who is worth waiting for. I won’t kid you, from initial visit to getting on his surgical schedule the time frame is 3 months. If you can wait that long then it’s absolutely worth it. He and his staff of PA’s and office personnel are all highly experienced and completely concerned about doing the best possible heart procedure for you. I had a triple bypass and almost 2 weeks later am recovering nicely in my home. Recovery is a pain only because I am required to sleep on my back but I can deal with that for two more weeks in order to heal properly. Dr Riley is a highly rated surgeon who is worth waiting for. If you require a cardiovascular/thoracic surgeon Dr. Riley is your guy. I didn't have much time to research him as I needed his services urgently. When cardiac stents were not an option, I was informed that I would require a five-vessel open heart bypass. Obviously, I wanted the best. Without hesitancy, 100% of the hospital staff recommended Dr. Riley. After benefiting from his technical skills in the operating room, witnessing his sense of urgency and seeing Dr. Riley and/or his staff up to three times daily for rounds, I am assured that his reputation of being the best has been earned. This diagnosis was life-altering but could have been life-ending. I am a 48 year-old-surgeon who never thought I would be meeting Dr. Riley this early in my life...but I am sure fortunate that I had him in my corner. Wow! Dr Riley was recommended to me by a co-worker who told me that Dr Riley, quote "saved my life"! So Feb 2021 it was my turn for open heart surgery. When admitted at JC Lincoln Hospital the nurses prepping me asked who was my surgeon and when told they all raved about Dr Riley. Some had worked for him previously. I won't forget one telling me "Dr Riley is one of the few real good heart surgeons in the Phoenix area. I already knew that but it sure felt good hearing it right before surgery! Dr Riley repaired the aneurysm on my ascending aorta, performed a cabbage and more. I recovered quickly and well. It is now 7 months since surgery and time for this review. A TEE revealed everything is in order. I am at 100% for my age and feel great. Thank you Dr Riley for extending my life. My wife says Thanks too!

Great Surgeon. Highly Recommend.

Dr. Riley performed a Coronary artery bypass graft on me. The results have been truly amazing. After a mere 4 weeks, I feel great. I have no pain and expect to be back to normal in a few more weeks. Thanks for saving my life and my future.

Diagnosed with heart failure in December of 2019. Covid and additional complications kept me from having surgery for over a year. Although I was not the best risk candidate I was treated like family by everyone in this office they were simply caring competent and concerned over my well-being. Absolutely the best doctor... surgeon... grateful he took my case and saved my life.

Due to a bacterial infection in my blood, I had both brain and open heart surgery within 2 weeks. Dr. "Rockstar" Riley was my cardiac surgeon replacing my aortic valve. I named him that based on his almost ridiculously amazing reputation. He really is everything everyone gushes about, from his personality/bedside manner to gifted surgical skill. The best doctor ever!!!

I am 60 years old and this wonderful doctor had an operation to replace my aortic valve. 3 months have passed. I feel great.in the photos the dynamics of my recovery. Many thanks to Dr. Riley and all the staff.

I recently saw Dr. Riley for a suspicious nodule in my lung. I had already had two consultation regarding the nodule but was uneasy with the treatments the other doctors were recommending. Dr. Riley reviewed the information and test results I brought with me to the appt.. he reviewed the records and made his recommendation that was different than the other two but it made a lot more sense the way he explained it. He answered my husbands questions and mine and asked if we were comfortable with his recommendation. He did not seem rushed and his staff was efficient and made us feel as if our time was valuable as well.

On November 3rd 2006 it was my 48th birthday. It was also the day that i got my life back. Dr Riley Performed open heart surgery to repair my leaking heart valve . i had spent many years prior with diminished health and eventually had to go on disability because of the condition. That all changed just a few months after the surgery. I not only regained my health, I got my life back . I returned to college and earned a degree in education. Shortly there after began teaching , and have been in the classroom for over 13 years. This year in May my students nominated me for teacher of the month, and I actually won and was presented with an Award from KTAR. None of this would have been possible, had I not recieved the expert repair of my heart valve so many years ago. I know this thank is long over due. But hopefully it makes its way to you. Dr Riley is a truly outstanding cardiac surgeon. He is very obviously knowledgeable and talks with you about your situation in an honest, down to earth way without “talking down” He explains what needs to be done in a way that you can understand. I had my aortic valve replaced and a single bypass done. When all the required tests were done, he told me that he COULD do it using a minimally invasive procedure, but that in my case, the risk of stroke would be higher than if he did it using the “open heart” procedure—and he explained why. I felt like I made the decision to go with open heart. All went very well. Additionally, his office staff is top of the line.

Dr Riley performed a third open heart on my husband on 1/7/19. My husband passed away 2/12 due to heart complications. Received condolences from others except Dr Riley. I needed to have my aortic valve and part of my aorta replaced/reparied. Dr. Riley explained the total process to me and gave me the pros and cons of valve selection. He also explained the operation to me as well and answered all my questions regardless of what they were. His assistant Gina was great in help in getting my surgery scheduled and showed great respect. His bedside manner is superbe and he is paitent in explaining the process to make you feel comfortable that all well be fine.

Excellent surgeon

Highly recommend Dr. Riley. Did my Mitral Valve in 2011 and I've completed 5 Ironman's since then. Never felt better, great Doctor all around.

Dr. Riley replaced my mitral valve that was heavily damaged by a bacteria in my blood. He's a no BS guy, and took care of my open heart surgery with precision. I have very little scarring from my incision and feel great. Thanks doc!

Dr. Riley is a minor miracle worker! He performed a complicated mitral valve surgical repair using the minimally invasive method and I am at 90% post surgery in 10 days!!! I was blessed to have been referred to him!! He is a genuinely compassionate surgeon with great communication skills and takes the time to explain the proceedure. His staff and surgical team are simply outstanding!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr, Riley!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Riley. He did my surgery 1 year and 4 months ago and I would recommend him to anyone who is considering any type of cardiovascular surgery. Because my surgery was emergency I did not have time to meet Dr Riley until night of my surgery. He immediately put me at ease with a smile and a handshake. This is a doctor who understands people and is highly respected by staff and peers. His team was professional and efficient. Thank you Dr Riley and Team!!!

Dr. Riley is a "SuperStar"! That is what the hospital staff told me when I woke up after a heart attack and emergency Quadruple bypass surgery. The staff was right ! My heart attack went on for a month before I went to the emergency. It has now been a year since the surgery and I am back doing "everything" I did before. Running 3-4 mi. daily, weights, boxing, and wrestling at medium intensity. Since day one I have not had one complication. I have no restrictions. I searched for 2 weeks for a surgeon who was the top in their field for minimal evasive surgery. Dr. Robert Riley's name kept coming up. I booked an appointment to interview him and ask concerning questions. At the end of my appointment I decided to put my trust in him and booked surgery for May 3rd 2017. I was told what to expect and he was correct, what he told me I experienced. Dr. Riley, my opinion, covered all the bases took charge and did a very successful operation.

In January of 2009, Dr. Riley performed what amounted to an emergency valve repair. He did an incredible job! It is now over eight years later, I am in excellent health, very active and no heart related issues. I highly recommend Dr. Riley and will always be very grateful.

Best of the best! I am so grateful to have Dr. Riley as my cardiologist surgeon.

Dr Riley performed a double valve replacement on my mother due to a hx of rheumatic fever. Dr. Riley was her surgeon and my mom is now 5 months post-op and doing great. He did a fantastic job, not just as a surgeon but as a compassionate human being. He is an incredible listener, will spend over an hour with his patients if necessary, and he always has a smile on his face. He is just a genuinely kind doctor and an amazing physician. I highly recommend him!! He also has a fabulous staff (GINA)!

Dr Riley and his staff made me comfortable from the first phone call. Dr Riley answers all my questions to my satisfaction. I am impressed with his skill in performing my minimally invasive valve repair surgery. And I am pleased to have found a surgeon that spoke with me as a human, not as another procedure. The surgical staff was excellent about keeping my family informed at each step during the surgery. I appreciate Dr Riley's humor which helps take away some of my anxiety. I highly recommend

He is awesome in every way. He is a highly skilled surgeon, highly respected among his peers, but best of all, he responsive to a patient's questions and needs!

He is an excellent surgeon and would highly recommend him to anyone needing valve replacement and an aneurysm fix. He makes you feel very comfortable about what will happen and his surgical staff went out of their way to update us on how the surgery was going.
