I have known dr Reiss for 3 yrs or so as he is my renal doctor. I have been on renal dialysis for 2 years and appreciate every extra day I have. I have a long history of mal-absorption due to a surgery I had 50 yrs ago. 2 years ago I started to see big dark clouds in my eyes at night which disappeared quickly in the morning. I saw a retina specialist who could find nothing wrong. I , for the past two months have had more problem seeing at night and daytime vision was dimming. I spoke with DrReiss who ordered a vitamin A blood level which came back abnormally low and he recommended vitamin a supplement with a blood level in a month. After the third day my eyesight was returning to normal! I thank and praise God for him. Many doctors ignored my surgical history with one saying, “get over it; you’re getting old!” He listened and even though this is not his chosen field he took the time to research for me! I am the only driver for my husband and he has had glaucoma for years and now requires daily visits to radiology which now I can continue to drive. Thank you so very much dr Reiss!!! After moving to the San Diego region, I saw Dr. Reiss nearly a year ago to discuss the conditions of my polycystic kidneys, diagnosed several years ago. I wanted to learn is my condition has stabilized or is it still getting worse. He did not show much interest in me, because he told me that he had many patients with much more serious conditions. I was finally able to convince him to order an Ultrasound of the kidneys, but ten months later, I still have not heard back from him!
