Fabulous as always! Staff are friendly, efficient & personable! Dr. Price is caring, thorough & highly intelligent!
Dr. Price is very knowledgeable in helping me with my migraines! He is direct and concise in his communications and willing to try different methods to find the solution that works for me. I would highly recommend him.
Great physician
I have always appreciated Dr. Price’s knowledge and professionalism. Under his care, the frequency of my migraines has been cut by 75%.
Dr. P was professional, knowledgeable and articulate. While it was only my first appointment I am hopeful of a good outcome.
Very professional. I got to office a few minutes early, I was called in maybe 3 minutes after sitting in the waiting room. The medical technician and nurse were excellent. Conversation with Dr Price helpful in what my specific concerns were & what our treatment plan would be . I was given my necessary paperwork and given my future appointment at front deck that was simple and easy. I was impressed by how professional and kind everyone was. Thx u All Very professional. My visit was great! Dr. Price explained everything to me and made me feel at ease.
Run for your life, do NOT make an appointment with Dr Robert Price! A complete waste of time & money. Dismissive, does not listen to patient, does not answer patient's questions, is unfamiliar with patient's MRI SCANS & history of symptoms in my file in front of him. Dr Price bizarrely speaks into his dictation headset not speaking to or look at eyes of patient, instead Dr Price does his dictation for paperwork follow up during the patient's visit! HOW IS THIS DR LICENSED? Dr Price's first comment to me was "This is the last type of case I want to handle!" He suggested my symptoms were caused my SLEEP APNEA, not the demyelination of nerve sheaths that show on my brain & spine in MRI SCANS. Dr Price would not answer my ?'s : 1) What is causing the demyelination; 2) Are spine disc irregularities, Covid long haul, past Mono or virus, or mast cell activation aggrevating my condition?; 3) Is it safe to get a Covid Booster vaccine when initial shots seem to cause flare up of symptoms?
Hard to get appointments but excellent doctor, who listens and is knowledgeable
Very pleasant and positive staff. Dr. Price is warm, informative and professional. I’m in good hands with Dr. Price and his wonderful office staff.
He was very upfront and didn’t mince words. I like that. No BS.

Professional & thorough. Reviewed all my medical records and took the necessary time with me to recommend follow up actions and tests.
Very thorough doctor. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend Dr. Price. Extremely professional, explained what was going to be happening through out the office visit and immediately explained the results he saw and answered my questions throughly.
Very knowledgeable and I can tell he cares and wants to help fix my medical problems. I’m very grateful for all of the efforts Dr Price is making to figure out and fix my problems. Although Dr Price is quite intimidating his assistant Chris is caring and helpful and I do feel like I’m getting the best possible care.

Dr. Price is great. Best Neurologist I've ever seen.
Dr. Price was very professional. He explained everything as we went along with the procedure and made recommendations at the end.
I absolutely love this practice and Dr Price! Everyone who works here is SO kind and SO helpful, which truly makes a difference when you are coming to a doctor in pain and needing help. I was completely blown away by how nice everyone was! Dr Price is very good at what he does and has helped continue my migraine management after having two brain aneurysms several years ago. I'm thankful to have a great physician and team on my side, that are also close to home and in network!! I had been driving to Santa Barbara for appointments, then switched to an awful local neurologist who was rude and her staff was awful. This has been the complete opposite experience with everyone at FCPP in this practice!
Very efficient at giving shots; nice manner.
Always satisfied with learning more about migraines & very happy with Dr Robert Price & his assistant is very thorough and professional.
Did the procedure half way and once told , it wasn’t done completely since he only did half my leg below the knee and my injury being up near my hip didnt make since that he was done and hadn’t check elsewhere even through the main reason i was there is due to nerve damage from a gun shot .He left the room frantically with no answer to my question other then it could be that ! Really! Yeah i would think so ! asked the lady at the desk that i had a question for him and she said he was gone for the day . Now im going with another dr due to my primary dr said he would find one . Im just soooo glad I literally waited 6moths for a appointment that was wasted . And my foot is still numb and hard to walk on . Super stoked on there professionalism Did the procedure half way and once told , it wasn’t done completely since he only did half my leg below the knee and my injury being up near my hip didnt make since that he was done and hadn’t check elsewhere even through the main reason i … More
I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder a year and a half ago and have seen 5 different neurologist including Dr. Price. I have never met anyone with such a superiority complex that they won’t even let you ask a question about your own condition. When I asked about/suggested multiple different causes for my seizures he began to spew out medical/scientific language that the average patient would have no chance of understanding. It seemed as if he was trying to make me feel dumb because it hurt his ego that I didn’t agree with him. If you read this Doctor please listen to your patients more or better off retire and let someone else help them that will do more good then harm. Personable and honest and informative
Nice guy, seemed brilliant, very thorough. I waited a long time for this appointment and it was worth the wait.
Everyone was professional yet friendly. Dr. Price was clear and precise with diagnosis. I thoroughly appreciated the copy I received, at the end of the appointment, of the detailed report of the session.
Sister has Parkinson's. Dr. Price is her second neurologist and is far better than the first. Our family has MS, peripheral neuropathy and Parkinson's so we have seen many neurologists. Dr. Price is one of the best for patient care and patience.
Dr Price was the best doctor I have dealt with in a long time. He looked at my history and helped me understand many of my “Neuro” issues were in fact driven by other health issues. He took the time to listen, and was vocal when he was unfamiliar with pre existing issues. I highly recommend this doctor. I now have a general direction in correcting my health issues. It took quite a while to get in for my first appt. But once my appt day came around I didn’t have any wait time before the NP took me into the Dr. Office! He was very professional and explained what to expect! The Dr. Came into the room within 5 minutes, asked a lot of questions, changed some meds set me up for a procedure, answered all my questions. Kept me waiting for over 1 hr and 15 minutes and came in with an attitude. Pretty much called me a liar. Wanted to know why I did not go to the neurologist I had in another town over 3 hours away from which I moved ten plus years ago. I have chronic pain, neuropathy from spinal stenosis. I am 73. No request was asked when I made the appointment for any surgical notes, MRI’s, etc, which I have from my first surgery in 1972 onward, and he proceeds to doubt everything I’ve written. Rude beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. I started crying and was going to leave and he opened the door and told me to go. I said that no,I’d waited and we WERE going to have this appointment. He was dictating notes standing at a stand away from me, more intent on telling the voice recognition what to do. Told me I wasn’t trying with the strength exam, reflex test, etc. I was. I finally just left. I’ve never walked out of a drs office before. Very unprofessional and rude. Yet billed me.
Dr. Price's office was spotless and professional looking. We were greeted promptly and did not have to wait 4 our appointment. Dr. Price and his assistant were both Pleasant, thorough, and explained everything. We are looking forward to Future visits.
Other than a long time to get an appointment, because they have many patients, I would definitely recommend Dr. Price to anyone. Dr. Price and his staff took time to listen to my issues and explain treatment options. I also received a complete print out of our conversation and his recommendations. I have never seen a position that has done that in the past. And I have seen a lot of physicians.
I always find Dr Price to be extremely knowledgeable and have excellent judgement of the problem at hand and the potential solutions/outcomes. Some folks may find his verbal dictation distracting however I do not. I would highly recommend his practice.
Yes I would recommend Dr Price it was my mom's 1st visit after old Dr retired without notice he was informative will see how in the future he can help my mother
My first visit with him was good. I felt like he listened, understood the problem and was sympathetic to it. The second visit was a just follow up and it was not so great. His whole attitude completely changed. He was no longer understanding or sympathetic to the situation. He told me things completely different from the first visit. It was night and day from the first visit. One thing that I REALLY don’t like is he uses his headset and narrates the whole appointment with talk to text to take his notes instead of taking notes after the visit. This is extremely disrupting to the visit and very disrespectful to the patient. This causes it to be very difficult to know if he’s talking to me, asking a question, or just taking notes. It also makes seem he’s much more interested in his headset than actually listening to the patient. There’s a large feeling of disconnect between the dr and patient. For that reason alone I’m not sure I would recommend him to a friend or family member.
Awesome
Dr price spent more time with me than most other drs I’ve experienced. He listened and explained in easily understood way. I especially appreciate his taking action on my matter to hopefully resolve or at least provide some answers.
I like a doctor that checks you out ,instead of just talking to you,I'm very pleased with Dr. Price I've been through a lot and a Dr. that doesn't check out the problem and give you his if and n butts pisses me off ,hopefully this will get done right.
The staff and Dr. Price are amazing. The doctor is extremely caring and tries to solve your problem and not just throw medication at it. He has done wonders to give me a life without chronic pain back.
He's an idiot. Prescribed 2 medications that counter act each other. Was told by Pharmacist to contact him. Office said that he doesn't return patient phone calls. STAY AWAY!
I was a chronic migraine sufferer for 30 years. Every few years I would see a neurologist for current ideas on reducing the severity and frequency. Dr. Price decided that for me the new monthly injection might be a good idea. He also gave me a list of supplements with mg suggestions and research information. I am now 2 years virtually migraine free. At 55yrs old, I now have a full life! Freedom from migraines to make plans for social activities, plans for my future. I owe him my quality of life.
Fantastic doctor. Quick to the point. Found what was causing my neurological like symptoms. Highly recommend this doctor if you want to get to the bottom of your situation.
Very effective and knowledgeable
Very thorough very kind
Knowledgeable and personable.
The staff was friendly, professional and welcoming and Dr. Price listened and explained things well.
Very thorough and extremely communicative and helpful!
Excellent Doctor, friendly, professional, very knowledgeable.
Edit on June 2, 2020 This doctor and his God complex will refuse you to be an active participant in your Healthcare. If you try to be, he waits until you leave to put in your chart that you are non-compliant. This lie will follow you and give you a very unnecessary bad reputation. His office manager, Julie, is equally horrible. None of these people understand HIPAA. He has discharged me from his practice while undergoing treatment. He has not let me know he considered me non-compliant, has had plenty of time and chances to discuss his opinions with me and never did. If my needing to be on the same medication I've been on for years because it works is non-compliant solely because HE DOES NOT LIKE IT with ZERO evidence or discussion otherwise, he needs to have a reality check. I intend to do just that. Dr. Price has legally met the definition of patient abandonment. If you do not want to be involved in your own Healthcare, he is perfect. If you want to be involved in your healthcare, he will say you are non-compliant. Also, even though I was told I would have a 30 refill for the seizure medication I've been taking for years, I got a whole six days. Once again, he is jeopardizing my life and safety. I won't even get into detail about my patient portal that lists no allergies when in fact I have 2 life-threatening ones and a few that will make me quite miserable. No onset dates for conditions are correct and neither are surgery dates. Thank God I know my rights, and you should know yours, too, before entrusting him with your life or the life of one you love. His website has great reviews, but I think those people were semi-conscious. If I could give no stars at all, I would, but even no stars is too generous. 1st appointment he tried to refuse me. Why? I have a service dog who alerts me to seizures and he's right about 95% of the time. After he was repeatedly told he can be fined, he begrudgingly saw me. His bedside manner is just above someone who's dead, which is what I would rather be than have him as my neurologist. My primary refilled a medication for me for migraines but said the neurologist needs to fill the rest. Well, he refused and dead is a real possibility considering the medication is also a beta-blocker and I have already had a heart attack. This is something he would have known had he taken the time to either look over my chart, TALK to me, or get off of his bluetooth long enough to make me feel like he knew I was there. He likes (loves, actually) to interrupt, cut you off, walk out of the room WHILE YOU'RE TALKING TO HIM, and is very good at demeaning. I told him this medication I was on for migraines wasn't working and I joked about botox. Then repeated that it wasn't working and told him about my family history of migraines. I was in the medical profession for 17 years, not office, all hospital and ER so I've interacted with soooooo many doctors and I fully believe this joke of a neurologist should have his medical license revoked. Seriously, don't waste your time Edit on June 2, 2020 This doctor and his God complex will refuse you to be an active participant in your Healthcare. I have been unfortunate enough to be seeing Dr. Price for a little over a year and a half now, and am finally able to drop him and go find another neurologist, a piece advice I would recommend to anyone and everyone. When I first received my referral from my primary, I called and was sent a 15+ page packet on personal and medical information that I had to fill out and mail back. Months later I heard back and finally received an appointment. This appointment was later pushed back due to insurance issues - the first of many. Once they finally got cleared with my insurance, I was able to see him. Yikes. His office staff seems like they would rather be ANYWHERE else, and apparently it shows in their work. They entered my insurance information incorrectly into the computer on my first visit, which was only finally caught three visits, two cancelled appointments and many months later. During my first visit, the only positive experience I had was finally receiving a diagnosis for my chronic migraines. Other than that, I sat there uncomfortable as Dr. Price dictated all of his notes, thoughts and ideas into his recorder/computer. I had trouble figuring out when he was talking to me and when he was talking to the computer. Dr. Price is obviously insanely intelligent, but lacks all social skills and a good bedside manner. NOW. His office staff. After fixing my insurance information on visit three (or so I thought) I went on my merry way and was given another follow-up appointment 6 months later. A day or two before my appointment, they called and left a message that my insurance wasn't valid and that they were cancelling. No offer to reschedule, no explanation of my insurance, nothing. About a week later I received a bill from my appointment that had been 6 months prior. Apparently I "changed insurance" and didn't tell them, so my insurance took back the money originally paid and now I was responsible for it. I finally called and asked for billing. I fought with Dr. Price's billing assistant that I didn't change insurances, and that I had been struggling with this office and insurance since Day 1. She pretended to understand but just kept repeating "well it's your responsibility to tell us when you change insurance." I still have the same insurance card in my wallet as I have since Day 1, but okay, sure. She told me she would work on it and figure it out and get back to me. That was 3 months ago now and I just received the bill again. I finally just sucked it up and paid it so I can get this awfully run office and terrible doctor out of my life. Note - I was going to give him an extra star for finally giving me a diagnosis, but now I'm just angry and annoyed all over again, so the one star is more than enough. Update 3/8/20: I just had to pay a bill that I JUST received, which was sent directly to a collection agency as the appointment on the bill was from over 2 years ago. So this BS is still going on even though I have switched. I’m still getting retroactive bills because they can’t get their deal together. Professional and friendly staff, no long wait. Dr price always on task and informative, always feel that I am getting competent care
Dr. Price is one of the best I have ever had. He is extremely thorough, fully explains what your care should be and he does indeed care. Some reviewers complain that he is not "warm and fuzzy". Dr. Price and his staff were phenomenal. Doctor took the time to explain to me exactly what test he was putting me through and the reasoning for it. He was thorough in his explanation and examination, and I found his science and diagnostic abilities to be very strong. I would suggest and refer Dr Price to anyone. I read some of the other reviews on this page. I'm looking for a physician who knows what he or she doing, not somebody to hold my hand and tell me bedtime stories. Those who complain about the doctors bedside manner should probably have been looking for a psychologist rather than a neurologist. What Dr. Price specializes in is medical science and he nailed it in my humble opinion. Dr. Price and his staff were phenomenal. He was incredibly rude, and kept making remarks about weight, which I wasn't there to talk about and he has no prior knowledge of my medical history. He would barely talk to me, and just type on his computer. He also prescribed me medication and didn't tell me about it or what it does, and instead the assistant had to explain it to me. If someone with low self-esteem or mental health problems went to him he can cause some serious damage, especially eating disorders with how he talks about weight.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Price this week. I had seen another neurologist in SLO and definitely needed a 2nd opinion, for a more reasonable path of care for my complicated case. I am being treated for a clotting disorder at UCLA and Ronald Reagan hospital. I now have 13 inches of stents and had numerous procedures. I was on Primadone for years; it was not compatible with daily injections of Lovenox for 7 months. I'm no longer on Primadone, which took months to get off of. I'm on Xaralto for the remainder of my life. Dr. Price gave me numerous suggestions of what to expect and how to handle my tremors. He agreed with UCLA prescribing me Inderal and gave me a better understanding of the future administration of it. I found all of his staff very congenial and professional (front and back office) and they had a sense of humor. Dr. Price was very professional and answered my concerns. He made me feel at ease and confident in his ability to guide me on this journey.
Dr Price is the most thorough doctor I have ever been to. He kept researching my case & testing me until I was diagnosed with a disorder that he felt was correct. His staff is wonderful and caring as well. I would definitely recommend him to others
My veteran husband went to Dr Price through Tri West. What a horrible bedside manner. He didn’t like we lived in Santa Maria and was upset that we were seeking local help through the VA’s local treatment services. The first visit was horrible as the Doctor was questioning why we were in his office (from Santa Maria) did we have local neurological doctors? We they are far and few using Tri West. He just about ran us off , we went back and my husband was treated like a nuisance. This doctor has a SLO attitude. He spoke poorly of wanting to care for Vets as they take too much time and don’t allow him to service his community. We are done! Not going back!
I think Dr Price is a good Dr who helped me with terrible migraines. I am basically headache free which I have never er been. He put me on the newest medication that had just hit the market. He also found a pharmacy ,that was not local , that made the expensive prescription affordable . He might have a strange “ bedside manner” but he is very intelligent and that’s all that matters to me. The only reason I am not giving him 5 stars is because some people may have a difficult time communicating with him. For me he was great.
Always great service and caring professionals.
I like Dr Price. Yes his bedside manner is a little odd but he’s extremely intelligent and knows what he’s doing. I’d give him four or maybe even five stars if dealing with the office staff at FCPP was not so difficult. I am a RN. Dr. Price is excellent, thorough and great doctor. I read a complaint that he reads into the computer. That is good for the patient as you get a full printed report at the end. Computers are the future. I will highly recommend him to all friends/family.

Very impressed with everyone in the office. Knowledgeable and personal. Dr. Price discussed details & ideas. Thank you to all!!
Dr. Price is a good listener and I appreciate how he works closely with me as a patient to set up an individual path for my treatment.
I needed a nerve conduction test on my arms/hands, and was nervous because the one I had years ago was painful. Dr. Price really made an effort to make the procedure as comfortable as possible, and I found him easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.
The staff was very friendly. Dr. Price was thorough in his explanations and listened and answered my questions.
His approach to all my symptoms was clear and the fact that we received a printed copy of our visit notes. We feel fortunate to be his patient.
