Dr. Robert Dean Pearson

I have to fight tooth and nail to get them to send documentation to my dme company. Even my dme company has issues with him and his office. Horrible patient experience.

My husband had a CT scan of his head and was told he had a sinus infection and should see an ENT. Dr. Pearson looked at the images and said that it's just polyps and not an infection. I really appreciated that the Dr. didn't try to treat Craig when there was nothing to treat. He was honest, knowledgeable and kind. He took time to explain things so we could understand.

I had a pretty extensive nose surgery back in November. I’ve had to go in for follow ups several times over the past few months. My experience has been very positive with Doc Pearson. I’ve looked forward to going in and visiting with him. On top of that his staff has been amazing, in my opinion they are all awesome! Thanks for a great experience.

Best ENT there is!! Dr. Pearson and his staff are very personable. You never feel like just another number. They actively listen and spend time educating and answering questions. I am very confident in his skills and pleased with my results.

Had the worst experience ever. I have never been to a doctor that drops a sterile instrument on the floor and still uses it. He did not clean it or anything.

Received excellent care. I loved that I didn't have to wait very long for my doctor's appointment.

Great staff! Very caring and concerned. As for Dr. Pearson, I felt rushed like he was in a hurry to go to lunch. All my concerns were on the form I filled out as a new patient, but he didn’t address them. I had to remind him. What a waste of my time and health. Maybe he didn’t like my insurance? I won’t recommend! Ever

I need to visit a doctor for my Cpap issues, but I am very nervous about visiting this one with the reviews I read on the website and the reviews left here I don’t want a visit with a doctor that is going to humiliate me or treat me badly like my issues are not valid. I am going to try to find another doctor but it sounds like he has the monopoly on cedar city.

The best clinic I have experienced in Cedar City. Professional staff. Very kind and easy to talk to. And they listened to every word. Dr Pearson answered all of my questions in easy terms that I easily understood. Never felt rushed. Highly recommend this clinic.

I've been to Dr Pearson for a septoplasty and was very pleased with my results. My last visit was for tattoo removal. The staff was amazing and so was Dr Pearson. So grateful that I was able to be added to his busy schedule after suffering with an ear infection that wasn't responding to antibiotics for 3 weeks. Dr Pearson knew exactly what to do and how to treat it within a couple minutes. Now I'm finally recovering.

I felt a lump in my throat and, as a smoker, I was somewhat concerned. I made an appointment here because my insurance listed them as in network. I waited two weeks before there was an available appointment, arrived early, gave them my insurance. When the doctor finally came, he brashly told me he didnt see anything except acid reflux, I asked him if there's anything I should watch out for or anything to change in my diet. He gave me a list he printed off the internet and walked away after less than 3 minutes. Then months later they sent me a bill for $150, which they sent to a debt collector after I refused to pay it, despite their daily harassment. I went in to see if I could get a food allergy test done to know if I was allergic to a food or if it was something else going on. I was referred to Dr. Pearson to get the testing done by my primary dr because they weren't able to do it(understandable). I went in and was told no we don't do skin tests for food allergies and to just wait 2 years before trying the food again to see if I outgrow it. It was also his tone he gave me like I was wasting his time and I felt rushed the entire appointment. When I got home, I had asked a nurse friend of mine if this was true and if so why i would even be referred to do it, they informed me that it isn't true and they can do skin testing for food allergies, so I don't know why I was told they can't do it. Very disappointed. I set up an appointment with Dr Pearson because I experienced short term hearing loss. I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes prior and proceeded to wait about 45 minutes until I got taken back. I sat in the patient room for about 20 minutes until dr Pearson came to see me. He examined my ear for maybe 2 minutes before telling me there is nothing he can do until I get an audio test. I then proceed to get a bill for $150! Set appointment specifically for needing ears flushed/cleaned out when scheduling. Spent 45 mins filling out page after page of paperwork, then 45 mins after appointment time was seen back. Assistant took vitals, asked routine questions, then left and I waited for Dr. Pearson. 7 mins later, Dr. Pearson arrives, has me sit up on the table, takes a 5 second look into each ear and says there’s nothing wrong. I tell him I’ve had mud up in my ears ever since the Hurricane mud run weeks ago, and it keeps coming out. He says ears look fine (later I’d keep pulling dirt out of my ear every morning after showers) and said if I’m worried to just rinse warm water in them to clean them. Charged me $103 co pay, and $80 to my insurance, just to spend 10 seconds with me and not help me. When I asked for my ears to be irrigated, he said they don’t do that; an EAR, nose and throat specialist doesn’t remove wax or clean out your ear. That’s like a dentist who doesn’t remove cavities. If you want an in and out doctor who gives the bare minimum, then this is your guy! Don't plan on asking questions, don't expect to receive much information about your procedure, and certainly don't expect to be able to get ahold of him post-surgery. If there's a problem, don't believe that him or his staff will take responsibility. After all, he's the only ENT around, so screw you! His irresponsible practices go unchecked. His billing manager is the rudest, most cynical person I've dealt with. I've worked in healthcare for over 15 years, so I've seen and heard it all. That's why I'm writing this. His surgery wasn't bad, that's why I gave 2 stars. But 1 star elsewise. Save yourself a headache, go somewhere else. How disappointing.

Paid for nothing. I have fluid in my ear and sinuses. I had xrays from the dentist to show it. He said it’s just a little mucus. Looked in my ear and nose and didn’t see anything. A regular doctor would do that. Doesn’t he have some kind of equipment to check the inner ear? That’s why I showed up at the specialist. He didn’t want to figure anything out and referred me to an audiologists. Hearing is not my problem. Don’t pay $150 for a basic exam.

Dr. Pearson is amazing! I would trust his opinion for myself and anyone in my family. He has done to Tonsils, ear tubes, Allergy testing, sleep apnea testing and 2 sinus surgeries on my family. We’re so very grateful for his kindness and care. It’s great to have such a wonderful Doctor in a small community!!

Typical know it all who ultimately is not concerned with anything other than the P&L statement. He is a specialist in a town of 31,000. I believe the word specialist in this case means, "the only one". He said I quote, "The government makes the rules. If you don't know that then, welcome to the United States." Just another so called doctor that was taught to treat not cure. It's without a doubt obvious what his main priority is, his government check. I am sure if the same issue I had involved his own family, he would see how ridiculous the problem is and put on his cape and fix it. But for me, from the word hello, it reminded me of arguing with a 9 year old. It was obvious that I am an idiot in his mind. How dare anyone question the king mover of hearing aids, CPAP machines, and all things profitable... This guy ultimately is a doctor for himself not at all concerned with putting forth anything that can't be billed out. Specialist, not even close... Bring your co-pay!

I went in because I thought my ear was infected. He told me nothing was wrong at all. He was rushed and seemed to want me out of there.I went to salt lake to the U of U hospital and it turns out I had a colestiatoma, or mastitis. Left untreated it would cause paralysis in my face, eventually a brain tumor and then death. I had the surgery performed by Dr. Cough Shelton. If you have anything serious go see him, very professional, the very best. I leave post not to be unkind but to hopefully help someone find the right care. Honestly the weirdest experience I have ever had at a doctors office! Dr. Pearson has horrible bedside manner. I kept trying to explain to him concerns about my son and he never made eye contact with me once! He spent about 3 minutes with us then handed me a paper, walked out of the room and never came back - guess we are done?? The rest of the staff was so nice but the dr was awkward! Dr. Pearson will not win any awards for friendliest Doctor but that is not what I went to him for. The staff and service was as expected. And they were very patient with me when I had a disagreement with them about my insurance. I was right and they finally agreed with me and the issue was resolved. They were not able to do what I needed but not because they didn't try. It was a medicare regulation that caused the problem, big surprise. However I only give 4 stars because I thought they could have made more of an effort to help me get what I needed. The office has been very helpful and kind. He has helped me get my allergies under control.

Have had two nasal surgeries, and by far the one that Dr. Pearson did was far more successful and less complicated. I hated the days following surgery; very uncomfortable since I couldn't sleep with my CPAP machine. Once the stints were removed after about 4 days things became much more normal. The days and weeks that followed gave me greater and greater relief and comfort. Dr. Pearson is an outstanding surgeon and he was easy to work with, as he explains everything in understandable language. I feel he cares about my welfare and is very competent. I saw Dr. Pearson for sleep apnea. I was sure I didn't have it. I slept all the time I could including lunch breaks at work. He was very patient with me and explained the symptoms. After having two sleep tests it was determined that I had three types of sleep apnea. Now I feel so much better and have more energy!

Don't expect to see Dr. Pearson even though you made your appointment to see him. They pawned me off on some other "doctor" who told me I had hearing loss. No kidding! I actually brought the hearing test in with me. I wasn't going there because of hearing loss. I was going there because of headaches, earache, crackling and popping in my ears. Nothing whatsoever to do with hearing loss. So I paid $150.00 for absolutely nothing!! Never even considered it might be sinusitis. Terrible!!

Dr. Pearson didn't help at all I went in for allergies and told me everything I already knew. I wanted to get the allergy shot and came out with nothing very disappointed

I went to Dr. Pearson for an initial nasal issue because I had a lot of nose bleeds. He found I had a deviated septum. I came back another time to do a sleep study and found that I had fairly severe sleep apnea. That same night they were able to test a cpap which I responded to wonderfully! The cpap has been such a life changer for me. I never knew how tired I was until I got a good night's sleep. Later I went back for a septoplasty surgery. Dr. Pearson has been wonderful to deal with and was such an amazing help. Before surgery he came in and discussed the whole procedure and even answered my many questions along with listening to my awkward jokes when I'm nervous. He checked in on me several times after the surgery, and I couldn't believe how well I could breathe once everything was done! The world smelled so amazing, and terrible in some places (airports). Great experience! Michele at the front desk is wonderful! Sepha is kind and professional. Dr. Pearson removed tonsils from my 21 year old and my 14 year old. We had no problems! The Anesthesiologist was great! All around wonderful experience! ...the recovery is awful though :(

But Dr Pearson is very kind and compassionate, and he's always spent whatever time is necessary to help me understand my personal medical problems. He has a gentle nature and a pleasant personality. He and his staff are professional and courteous. He has been my ENT specialist for almost twenty years so I believe I have adequate experience to write a review. We love Dr. Pearson! When my daughter developed a boil in her ear that was growing bigger day by day, we went to see him. As you can imagine, she was very nervous and scared. However, he was very gentle and kind with her, taking the time to carefully explain what was happening in her ear and the procedure that he could do to bring immediate relief. As a mother, I really appreciated that he took the time to carefully explain the upcoming procedure to her in terms that she could understand, helping alleviate her fears. My wife is normally very anxious to visit the doctor or dentist and was immediately calmed by Dr. pearson's explanation of exactly what steps needed to be taken and was willing to take the time to answer her questions. Dr Pearson is an excellent doctor. He has taken care of all three of my children for 12 years. My daughter needed sinus surgery when she was 8yrs old. The experience from beginning to end was very positive. He was personable with both myself and my young daughter at our first appointment. He put our fears about the surgery at ease. He skillfully performed the surgery and even called to check on her. A few years later my other daughter needed a tonsillectomy when she was 4 yrs old. I was very nervous about it, but again, Dr. Pearson did a great job helping us thru the whole process. He is a skilled surgeon who cares about his patients and treats them with professional care. He also took good care of my son several times when he had ear trouble. wow this doctor has the bed side manner of a Vulcan and that's being offensive towards Gene Roddenberry's creation. We came in because our toddler had a foreign object in her ear, he extracted said object but did not bother to clean the blood or even show an ounce of sympathy towards our little girl who was screaming as the nurses and doctor pin her down to extract the object..after the extraction he just send us home didn't even handed us a cotton swap to clean the blood. terrible impersonal service, I do not recommend this doctor at all.
