Dr. Robert J Patrignelli

He made a big ugly mess out of a little skin tag on my back. You would not believe. I will never go back.

This Dr. should not be in practice due to his utter disrespect for medical ethics, as well as his blatant disregard for the Hippocratic Oath! In short, he told TWO different patients, during two different appointments, that people on Medicaid, “should not be allowed to go on vacations or eat at restaurants.” He also repeatedly asked said patients if they worked, and what they did for a living, and proceeded to make a snarky comment about a patient’s sneakers being “expensive.” He outright refused to make follow up well check appointments with said patients due to “his nurses working so hard and not being able to afford the things that people with State issued insurance were able to, and that he didn’t think he’d be accepting this insurance any longer.” Needless to say, he is still a listed provider. This individual is an abomination to the medical profession as a whole, and I am utterly embarrassed to say that he attended one of the same alma maters as myself!

This office uses a VERY expensive pathology lab. Thus, you will get a HUGE bill from them. Double what any other lab would charge. Take note.

Worst experience ever. I was there to have body checked for skin cancer screen. All he did was touch my head in one spot. No place else. Best dermatologist doctor ,in Connecticut

Excellent doctor. Very professional, answers all questions and makes you feel comfortable. He was on time, I was in and out. Offices are very clean, staff seems very well organized and Informative. One of the few doctors I don’t dread seeing.

I have been seeing Dr. Patrignelli for a number of years and he has been nothing but professional. He is very detailed in his review of any issues on your body. He addresses some issue immediately and also takes samples for review as needed. I am also very pleased with his staff from check in, room for examination and checkout. A very positive annual experience for health review.

I had seen Dr. Patrignelli for years as a patient. My last visit was very scaring for me. He minimized my concerns and initially did not want to treat it despite me bringing up the issue over a year ago and trying other remedies he suggested. When he injected the cortizone he was very harsh and said, "maybe you will remember this the next time you scratch". Honestly, felt abused by him. He also discussed political matters with me when I was not looking for that sort of conversation. I generally am not interested in the political affiliations of my providers. He also said that my children's disabilities were not real even though he had never met them. It was the most awful visit and has made me rethink using his office. Lastly, please make sure that they do actually participate as the office staff is not familiar with all the plans. Even if you saw him before do not count on him still participating. When I called to inquire I was met with a very rude staff member who put all the blame on me when I was just asking questions. So many things have changed for the worse.

He rushed the appointment didnt listen to all my symptoms and basically took my money and ran for the hills. He said "why am I here"? Oh I dont know to get treated for my scalp conditions. I felt like I was in there for 5 minutes! As he was exiting the door I had to ask for a diagnosis. He said dandruff. I dont trust this doctor. He didnt even know what clarifying your scalp means! Incompetent and impatient, and no compassion. However, the front desk and receptionists are wonderful. Its sad they have to work for this man. I have been to many dermatologist over the years, because of numerous skin conditions I have developed, due to medications. Dr. Patragnelli is the most precise and knowledgeable dermatologist I have ever been to. He is very friendly and personable. The thing I like most about him is his determination to cure my skin condition, when other dermatologist would just give up. very good...he was able to diagnose a condition in my fingers that 4 other physicians were at a loss to recognize or comment upon...I would not hesitate to use him again

Dr. Patrignelli maimed my feet back on 9/10/2014 leaving me with terrible pain and impairment for all the years since then. I have nothing good to say about him. Prior to that date he did a good job for me and I never suspected he would do something like that.

This guy is, in my opinion, is the biggest joke I have ever come across in the medical field. My visit lasted about 3 minutes, from when he walked in to when he left. Totally disappointed. He then had to brag that he saw 70 patients per day. And his elbows were distorted because he leans on them all day. Then he prescribed a cream that he said won’t work, but use it anyway, why prescribe it? Stay away from this guy, Georgetown University or not. Definitely not worth your troubles.

I visited this doctor six years ago for a pedicure for my feet. His response was to pull and twist my toes and cut deep. The result was many hammer toes, neuromas and peripheral neuropathy. I've been suffering ever since then. My advice is to file complaints with the Department of Public Health and the police if you have also been a pain victim. Only if victims go the authorities can the public be protected.

Dr. Patrignelli and his entire staff are wonderful. He is a brilliant dermatologist and has treated my entire family since he started his practice. The Dr and his staff are great. if the TVs too loud they can turn it down. But you can’t sit underneath the TV and not expect to hear it. Also I brought my grandson since they were one years old to Dr Patrignelli he found three different diseases that he had no the doctor could find. As a parent it’s up to us to make the kids comfortable going to a doctor. Because this doctor is the mild manner very knowledgeable. Stop The bashing.

Beware - Dr Patrignelli MD uses Fairfield County Pathology Consultants to Analyze your tissue samples - After you visit Dr Patrignelli - for a body scan for cancer - he sends to tissue samples to Fairfield County Pathology Consultants who will wack you with a HUGE bill afterwards - mine was $765!! to analyze 3 Tissue Samples - I called them up - they then charged me $90.00 - watch out for these scumb_g doctors - they are ripping people off!! By sending collection notices for the bill - when you never received the initial bill. Time for a New Dermatologist!! Been seeing Dr. Patrignelli for years now and have found he and his staff to be more than professional, pleasant and welcoming. I have read some of these negative posts about lack of personality and such. My comment to that is that maybe it's the patient.

I called to make an appointment and Donna who answered the phone was very rude and sarcastic with me and when I asked to speak to her supervisor she hang up on me.

Because I'm on medicade was itreated of course like I didn't matter dr p was rude and,impatient his staff are worse dr p and his lady miss prisms was just as rude,and looks like shes anorexia

We went to him for my son's acne. He recommended a medication that can cause liver damage so it has to be monitored through blood work very closely. He never ordered blood test before or during 6 months of treatment. When we had a billing dispute with him over the fact he popped a single zit, called it surgery and billed for it of which the insurance denied making us responsible. So we switched to a new doctor to finish the treatment when we found out that the blood tests should be done regularly and he never mentioned it or did it. We complained to their office manager and asking him for an explanation, neither would help and they would not answer calls or assist in anything. We went to him for my son's acne. Tech was in and out, Dr. P had no bedside manner, felt very rushed, was not told risk vs. benefit of skin problems. I really like this office. Dr. Patrignelli really knows his stuff, and exudes personality and confidence. I feel quite at ease there. The staff is professional and friendly. I have health insurance that you have to use Doctors on there list. I noticed a mole on top of my head so I called Dr. Patrignellis office.The girl on the phone was very nice and scheduled my appointment. Office is very nice. The girl behind the glass was very pleasant. Filled out paper work then was brought to examination room. I was surprised to see a tv in the room. I liked that. Dr. Patrignelli came in couldn't have been nicer. He ask me what was wrong and he took care of it. He made me feel very comfortable as did everyone I talked too. A very pleasant visit. Do not go to this doctor. He treated my 6 year old son for a short while and left my son traumatized and afraid to go to a doctor. I don't know how his license has not been revoked. Stay away!!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! I got the worse staph infection that left me hospitalized after a small biopsy in his office. I was left with thousands of dollars in hospital bills when he failed to give me antibiotics when I went in to see him about my infection. He is negligent and causes infection for his patients and his staff is not helpful in discussing your bills and will deny that anyone is in the office to discuss or assist you when you call. They still made pay my full bill.

I have been seeing Dr Patrignelli since the late 1990's. He has treated me for a number of term situations. Over the past several years, I have had several cancers identified and treated by Dr. P. He is an extremely thorough guy......I don't think he misses one inch on his examinations. He is extremely outgoing and explains everything to you! Would recommend (and have) in a heartbeat. I travel about 25 miles to see him each way for my twice a year body check and for treatments.

Horrible experience. They messed up the billing, would not allow you to speak to the Office Manager Mel, kept leaving messages, no return calls. Dr. screwed up treatment on top it. Just a horrible place to do business. I have filed a report with the Office of Public health.

Terrible. Took our son there for acne. He pops a couple pimples and calls it surgery and then hits us for $190 that the insurance won't pay. Talked with staff, absolutely no help. Took him to another doctor only to find that he was over prescribing the mediation putting my son at risk for pancreas problems and not ordering follow up blood work that is standard to the medication. Rude and Dangerous is not a good combination in a practice.
