Robert Bruce Montgomery

Great doctor and communicator. He is data and science driven and listens to the patient and care giver.

IMO, Bruce Montgomery is an outstanding medical oncologist (he's not a surgeon or radiologist). Bruce was an important part of the troika of physicians on my care team that I chose to treat my cancer. Its also important to note that he is both a researcher and practicing client-facing physician. I found Bruce to be knowledgable, personable, thoughtful, he patiently answered all of my questions* and, perhaps most importantly, worked efficiently/effectively with the other providers in my care team. Structuring the troika of physicians on my care team was an important part of my strategy to treat my cancer. Turns out, when someone is diagnosed with cancer, the physicians that we need to keep us alive, we probably haven't met yet and its difficult to know who's opinion to trust. whenever one of my doctors provided advice or an opinion, i dutifully shared their advice/opinion with my other two doctors. In my situation, whenever I asked Bruce a question or relayed opinions/advice provided by my other physicians, Bruce always took the time to thoughtfully explain, in layman's terms, the medical / physiological background, the science behind it and what he believed. (I actually did the same with my other two DR's as well). I found Bruce's inclination to treat cancer proactively and aggressively aligned to my treatment preferences. (I had an aggressive cancer that (inshallah) appears to have been cured.) However, he never imposed his opinion on me; I always understood his point of view and he was very good a patiently explaining the pro's/con's of each potential alternative. This Dr. Needs to have his license pulled he has no clue what he is doing. Please do not let your loved ones be seen by him.
