Always takes the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Looks to provide the best treatment applicable. Staff and appointment scheduling as needed. Provides immediate follow up if needed and is involved in seeing that whatever care is necessary he will stay informed

Dr. Mennel takes as much time as needed to diagnose and treat patients. I have been a patient for over 25 years and never have had an issue with his care.

Dr. Mennel and the team at Texas Oncology saved my life, and I'm cancer free 21 years later. Dr. Mennel is Awesome and always takes time to visit with me and answer any questions. Dr. Mennel has seen me for more than 20 years. He always has time to discuss all of my questions relating to my health, even though it might not be his expertise. He takes time to analyze every question about my lab results. He is a wonderful Dr. and I would recommend him to all.

Dr. Mennel is an exceptional doctor. He is through, caring, courteous and goes above any doctor I have ever seen. He communicates your healthcare needs in an easy to understand way. Your treatment plan and health are at the heart of his work. He is personally involved with your teamcare to ensure you are receiving the best treatment. I am blessed he is my oncologist!

I see Dr Mennel every 3 months to monitor my blood work & cancer. He and his staff are very professional & extremely caring.

As I haven't see Dr Mennill in a while ( Dr Reese was out), I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment with him and appreciate his attention to detail. He is a kind, gentle and brilliant Dr and I feel blessed to have him on my team.

If you have cancer I cannot imagine a better doctor to see. I was able to get so much work done waiting for Bob Mennel and it was worth every second of the wait. He is the BEST and so if you get a doctor that appears immediately then beware, it means he's not doing consults all over the world, answering questions from other docs and looking after his dire patients who are worse off than you. After reading one comment, I felt it necessary to say....bring a book, yes, be prepared to wait...but if you value your life, it is definitely worth the wait. He cares and better yet, he's a great doctor. I saw him in 1999 and I'm still here in 2021! End of story...patience. If you have cancer I cannot imagine a better doctor to see. Dr. Mennel is an excellent oncologist. He is exceptionally knowledgeable as well as wise. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Mennel has kept me alive for a number of years now. He always takes the time to listen and understand.

I will wait as long as it takes to have myself or a family member be seen by Dr Mennel. If you want fast service go to McDonalds!! The knowledge, care and concern he and his nurse Gracie showed as well as all the staff was worth the wait. Yes you wait but once he entered the room there is no feeling of being rushed and in fact Dr Mennel makes you feel as if you are the only patient he has! Many doctors shoot questions at you while they hammer away at their computer. He sits and looks directly at you answers every question and no concern is too small. What a blessing! Dr Mennel is a wonderful doctor. We hit gold when we found him. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and does not rush patients in & out. He spends the amount of time with you that is necessary. He not only responds to the patients questions & concerns but also to whoever is accompanying them. So if you should have to wait longer than you expect rest assured you will receive the time with him that you need. He is also very active in cancer research. Dr Mennel is a wonderful doctor. I had the most horrible experience with my visit to see Dr. Mennel. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 am. I arrived at 9:35 am. When I got there one couple and a man was there waiting. By 10:00 am, they were called back along with 4 others who came after me. So I went up to the desk to ask how long the wait would be? Trevena the receptionist said that she would check with the nurse. After speaking with the nurse she told me that Dr. Mennel was running behind and my appointment was scheduled for 10:40 am and not 10:00 am. I told Trevena that was not correct. I even showed her the appointment paperwork that was mailed to me, which verified that my appointment was in fact for 10:00am. I also explained that I was working and I had to get back to work. I sat back down and 3 more individuals came in and were called to the back. At 11:00 am I went up to Trevena the receptionist again. I asked her how much longer was it going to be before I am seen. Trevena then called the nurse again, and stated that she would be calling me soon. At 11:10 am I was finally called by the nurse whose name is Gracie. Gracie took my vitals and asked me a few questions. During that time, I told her that my appointment was for 10:00 am and she said "I know." There was no apology, no nothing. After which Gracie proceeded to put me in a room, but before she closed the door she said that I would be waiting because Dr. Mennel likes to spend time with his patients. Ten minutes after I was put in an examination room. One of Dr. Mennel's doctor assistance came in and proceeded to ask me questions regarding my medical history. After which he gave me a gown, told me to change and that he and Dr. Mennel would be in shortly. However, 30 minutes later I was still sitting in this exam room. I looked out into the hallway and it was a complete ghost town. After spending 2.5 hours there and still not seeing Dr. Mennel was enough for me. I put my clothes back on and left the room. As I was approaching the exit door. Gracie the nurse shows up. I told her that this waiting was unacceptable. She did not say anything; she did not try to stop or assist in getting me seen by the doctor. There was no apology. Once I got back to work, I immediately called Vera, the scheduler. I got her voicemail and left a message. When she called me back I asked to speak with the business manager, Crystal McBride. Vera said "sure, no problem." She then came back to the phone and stated that she was in a meeting. So I proceeded to tell her what I experienced. and she said that she made the appointment and all new patients are to arrive 30 to 40 minutes early. I told her that was beside the point in my case. I was there an hour and 10 minutes just sitting in the waiting room, watching others come and get called to the back. Vera was the person I spoke with initially when I called to make my appointment. She did tell me to be there at 10:00 am and she mailed out my appointment time, which stated 10:00 am. She never told me to be there 30 to 40 minutes early. This information was irrelevant anyway as I was there for more that amount of time. Vera stated that she would send an email. I said okay. I did not get a call back, so I called and asked to be connected directly to Crystal McBride the business manager. I received a voicemail so I left a detailed message asking Ms. McBride to please give me a call back. I never got that call. The next day I called Ms. McBride once again and still no call back from her. That was 2 days ago. Ms. McBride along with everyone else that I came in contact with was very inconsiderate and unprofessional. I truly believe that not one of them knows what the meaning of customer service/care is all about. I was completely taken advantage of. What is the purpose of making an appointment if you are not seen in a timely manner. The entire experience was UNACCEPTABLE. I lost time and money from work, gas, and $10 for parking. Excellent Physician. Took care of my son that had reoccurring bone cance. Was compassionate and wonderful through whole process. Even though he was terminal he kept his quality of life at highest level. He came on the day he passed at 8 am as a nurse, I know his level of care and compassion for 22 mo my son was in his care was exceptional.my son adored him as did I. He is wonderful physician.

A great compassionate man and terrific physician

Dr. Mennel and his Staff are excellent. Dr Mennel is seen as one of Best Oncologist in the area. The kindness that he shows for my father is calming and reassuring that we are working together for positive results.
